This petition is already very old. This guy needs to actually close the petition and deliver it to LG, otherwise even if the the whole world signs it's no good.

6 months Already more than 6000 firms and about 1,500 more missing ..... Zest and sign peers, is good for everyone. In htc mania it is moving many people are now asking for signatures why I write here on xda asking for signatures too.
In HTCMania there are already several cases 5xx and 6xx repaired with plates have returned to bootloop ..... It is not clear that the plates 6xx are definitely good.
6xx plates are a way to buy time while supplies guarantee when they should give a new model without the motherboard problem.
Best Sign Here.

Breaking story on The Verge
Google is reportedly nearing a deal to sell Motorola's phone division to Lenovo, a move that would give the Chinese smartphone manufacturer a major presence in the US smartphone market. News of the potential acquisition comes from both Reuters and China Daily, with the latter reporting that the acquisition could be announced as soon as Thursday morning in Beijing — just a matter of hours from now. Reuters reports that the deal is worth close to $3 billion, a number corroborated by China Daily's report over a deal worth over $2 billion.
Google originally bought Motorola Mobility for $12.5 billion, but said at the time that it was mainly interested in its patent portfolio. Now, it appears that Google is offloading its handset business, which has been losing hundreds of millions each quarter since the purchase. Reuters reports that Lenovo's purchase will include some patents, though it appears that the acquisition focuses primarily on devices, such as the Moto X and Moto G.

I am not very happy about this news.
hope this is hoax. Motorola need Google, Google need Motorola

Lenovo To Buy Motorola Mobility From Google For About $3B
It's official, but what does it mean? We still don't know that
It's confirmed :|

We will have to see what it means for the Motorola leadership team. I'm not ready to give up but I have serious concerns about what this means. Lenovo couldn't make mobility work on their own...
From my Moto G
Yes it is confirmed (http://www.engadget.com/2014/01/29/lenovo-nearing-3-billion-deal-for-motorola/)... And I'm not happy at all as Moto G customer!
I feel sad... All was perfect... I hope lenovo will help and don't destroy motorola

Why? I will not make any difference to the Moto G. Motorola has been operating independently from Google since Google bought them.

but we will lost fast updates...
Well, there is still the Moto G play store edition and that gets fast updates. I think we'll be okay.

Dennis Woodside and all management will stay with Motorola, so I doubt we will see too many changes to Motorola.
Im pretty sure this is not bad at all, Lenovo will let Motorola work as an independent company like google did, after all Motorola has its own "fans" and has regained a lot of attention last year...
I would even go the extra mile to say that Lenovo would help a lot more than Google, after all Google barely even touched Motorola...

I think that as not everyone got a GPE we will not see fast updates (or even any updates) for current devices. I don't know... I hope the future will tell otherwise!
I am worried that the way Lenovo is going to try to get their return on investment for this acquisition is not going to be very fruitful for Motorola's current and future customer base.
Let's just hope that there'll be at least some support for the Motor G into android versions beyond kitkat...
I hope that Lenovo will allow Motorola to be a independent company like when Google owned it and just use Motorola for their patents, to support future Lenovo products such as Tablets.
Hello! all those people who are not indifferent to this smartphone please sign the petition.
sorry for bad English

Will this accomplish anything? Had anyone seen this work in the past? I'm a bit sceptical, 'cause I don't think Lenovo is going to spend resources for something that won't have ROI
Just my two cents.

i sign it too
Doesn't hurt to sign it. Doubtful anything will become of it.
I remember there was a much more popular Verizon bootloader unlock petition and nothing became of that.

Hopefully this being out so quickly allows devs to port/make ROMs fairly quickly. I read great things about FreedomOS and wanted to try it out, but I'll likely be stock rooted for a while just so I don't have to wipe/reinstall.
Yeah once I get my new PC I'm going to learn how to build ROMs and kernels. Got a Xperia and Moto g to mess with so some practice and headaches I hope to one day be good enough to get some out for this.
Did anyone already extract the prop. files using the extract script?

This is what I'm most interested in seeing happen before I place my order.
Yes this indeed will boost some custom development support at XDA. However I have a question. Is it possible to port over the battery capacity read code to the one plus 3
this video
shows that the batteries are swappable hardware wise but we need software to actually read the proper capacity
Any dev can help with this?. It would be really helpful to OP3 owners.

I know that. Like I said that video shows if someone just swaps the battery there wouldn't be a problem for the OP3 as it shows up as a 3000mah battery.
From what else I see the power IC and motherboard are nearly identical. This is a DIY project. For people who want a Lil more oomph from their phone
Well battery consumption and capacity is set in an overlay (power_profile.xml) that is used when building android. So for custom roms, it is easy to change that value
Why we see Zero customs roms for op3t? Op3 had cm unnoficial same day that start the shell

Adoption of the 3T is going to be slower because some devs already have the OP3 and have stated they would not develop for the 3T. Some are waiting to receive their devices as well. Besides, you don't know what's being worked on behind the scenes. Be patient or you can build it for us.
Sent from my OnePlus3T using XDA Labs
Yeah lot's of people still waiting on their device plus a lot more will receive one over the Christmas period. Another note in my opinion is 7.0+ is a inch away so heavy development on current 6.0+ is sort of pointless, but great at the same time to let developer's get a "feel" for the device.
Just curious. I have the ZF2, but the battery is horrible. Was looking to upgrade to the ZF3, and I noticed there's no ROM development for it. Any particular reason for that? Are devs expected to start porting ROMs to the ZF3 eventually?
Thanks

I was thinking the same!

The answer is that the Zenfone 3 just isn't as popular with enthusiasts and developers as the Zenfone 2 was. The Zenfone 2 was insanely popular due to its great specs and even better price, but after many people were disappointed with their Zenfone 2's, they just aren't interested in the Zenfone 3. It also doesn't help that in most countries the Zenfone 3 is the same price as the OnePlus 3, a much more premium phone that happens to be insanely popular with developers.
Huh, that's pretty unfortunate. I guess I'll look to the OnePlus 3 then, thanks for the heads up!
