S99 Smartwatch getting to know..... - Other SmartWatches

So I searched here and could not find my phone model which is an S99 from Gearbest. I just got it in the mail today and I know how to operate it for the most part but have a few questions.
I have got Google Hangouts to work with it which my main phone number is a Google Voice number which works great for me to make and get calls and texts without having to use a SIM in the phone.
The biggest things I am trying to figure out is how to put it in a "sleep mode" so that the screen does not turn on as I move around in my sleep. I have put it in airplane mode but I dont want to dot that for 2 reasons.
1. the screen will still turn on if I move.
2. I want to keep Bluetooth on to use Android Sleep to track my sleep (the best sleep tracking app I have ever used).
Is there any video or other tutorial about this watch?
Or anyone know how to put it in a sleep mode?

???
76 views and no replies. Did I post in the wrong area?
Is there just not much support here for the S99 watch?
If there is support somewhere else for it would someone be so kind as to point me in the right direction?
Thank you!

thank you for that however I just searched under that and there was nothing here for that either.
Is there not that device listed here on this site?

The main question I have is how do I set the ZGPAX S99 to get notifications to my watch without a SIM? I know I know it is sold as a stand alone watch to bed used with SIM but I have already downloaded Google Hangouts to the watch which is what I use for my main phone number and text anyway and it does get notifications there but not when the screen is turned off which is lame. I want with the watch face off (not lit up) to light up or at the very least vibrate when I get a new text coming in. Only when I press the button to light up the screen and swipe right to the notifications screen does it pop up all my missed notifications. I must be doing something wrong please advise...

Hi
There is an option on main screen, its an icon with a watch and some arrows at sides, that prevents the screen to light on when moving your wrist
I saw on a youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HR1OClhlJYg around min 27

Hi
Don't know if what I say is right becase I just ordered the watch and I'm waiting for it to arrive
I think you have to link the S99 with your phone through bluetooth, and then you will have notifications on your smartwatch

The S99 watch actually broke, both sides of the bands completely off in less than 30 days of wearing it. I liked the watch and Gearbest was kind enough to let me return it for a full refund(store credit) so I got the Finow X3 plus and am very impressed! Well, I was impressed by the look and feel and the Android integration. The only bad part was linking it up to the watch for notifications. That was horrible! It worked sometimes but not most of the time.
Soooooo, I just got the Samsung Gear S3 watch and WOW! That is an amazing watch! 100% reliable with rotating bezel and very long battery life, the ONLY thing I miss with the Samsung watch is it is Tizen OS. No Android or Android app store. Tizen has come a long way though since I owned the first Tizen watch so I dont mind it so much anymore.

Hi
You seem to know what you're doing! Not being tech savvy doesn't help. Hope you got your setup going.
Does anyone know how to get the full keyboard? Cannot find the + sign anywhere. This is stopping my wifi password being entered, therefore no internet

Screen won't turn off with IM app open?

Hey everyone! I've got yet another problem... I have Jivetalk installed, alpha, and when it's CONNECTED, it won't turn off the screen. Only dim! But when DISCONNECTED (but still open) it does turn off!
So I thought "Geez... Lemme install another app!" so I installed Palringo, and same thing... Screen dims but won't turn off!
Is this a kind of known issue with apps that use data or leaves ports open or something? Some help or advice would really be appreciated.
www.beejive.com, if you'd like to try jivetalk (which I recommend 100%. They're the best.
I'm from Beejive, the developers of JiveTalk.
The screen item is a known open bug in our current alpha build (0.5.2). It will be fixed in our next build, 0.5.3.
You should get an alert in your app when the new build becomes available.
thanks.

Ohh then that makes me happy to hear that! Is there an ETA on it? I love your products, I've been using Jivetalk on my ipod touch and my blackberry. Also, is there a forum specifically for you? Or a Thread somewhere to talk about the WM6 build? Thanks

we haven't ran a forum for this alpha cycle yet, though we will start a few threads here and maybe one or two other forums once we go beta, which should be soon.
The backlight fix is already in the 0.5.3 dev build, but we're waiting on a few emoticon support fixes (the main feature in the 0.5.3 build) before releasing it to the registered alpha users.
For feedback, we prefer emails sent to our winmo address --> [email protected].
Wish MSN Mobile would keep the backlight on - it goes off in its normal power saving mode, but doesn't light back up again when you receive a message.
OK I think I understand what's going on. I see that on Skype they give you an option to turn off the screen or not, because they want to know if it should be turned off and go into standby or not. By default it must keep it from going into standby to keep a constant connection. I imagine JT must do the same thing. hehe. Can't wait for the next version weee! because right now when I receive a missed call, or an SMS and the screen turns on (i manually sleep it with the top button to keep JT open and not kill the battery) it stays on. Last night I went to bed early, put it to sleep myself, woke up and the screen was on all night. From 97% battery to 45 in 8-9h hours without use (my usage, but the screen was on! haha)
Can't wait Keeping my fingers crossed.

Never had either of those issues. You need to provide more information than that. Did you buy the phone brand new or used? What build are you on? Does the camera ever open successfully or is it always just the icon? What do you mean your lockscreen won't turn off? Your post is really vague.
Software is which Google released latest,MMB29Q.. For the camera part it opens but after several time it starts showing glowing camera icon and after restart it starts working again, you can Google it, I have seen many post regarding camera issue on Nexus 6p although no one gave a definite solution. Now about lock screen, the issue when it's turned on and it's still locked it won't switch off means light don't off.

Ok, but that isn't the latest firmware, that's actually two releases/builds old. The MMB29V and MHC19I builds have come since then. You didn't answer one of my questions, did you buy the phone new or used?
Yea. Heisenberg wants to know if somebody may be flashed a corrupt image to it maybe answer his questions

well if you are downloading videos then the phone will keep awake to keep the connection to download the videos. So yes in this sense that is normal.
But battery drainage is huge already it should be less compare to screen on but it's almost same.

I just need to figure out a way to install the darn update now. Tried 10 times, changed sleep to 30 mins etc, but the phone simply reboots and no update!! Phone as stock factory, no root etc.
Is there a secret way to install it that I am unaware of?

Bluetooth is not working with this update. i'am not able to connect to any other device.
used for testing:
xaomi redmi 3 pro
huwai media tab
samsung galaxy s3
uelefone metal
samsung galaxy tab 3
all devices can see each other but pairing fails.
always get a pairing error : (auto) pin wrong
still 6.01 ?
or 7 ?
6
Yeah bluetooth still sucks, i. e. when i pull the phone out of the pocket in my jeans - headset looses the signal, phone app playback is still on, but I cant hear anything in my headset. I have to hit play/pause button - first hit (nothing) - second hit (i can hear "pause" beep sound of headset) - third hit = i can hear the sound back again. Happens with both of my headsets. LoL, what a lame thing and royal pain in the butt whenever i need to manipulate or pull the phone out...
GPS still also confused as hell, teleporting me around different streets, navigation is quite impossible

Life battery e correct % in Lemfo Les1 after unistall Google Play service!!!

There is a problem between this clock and the google play service. Even turning off wifi, the google play service remains active by draining the battery. I left the clock in standby by uninstalling the google play service and the battery lasted 4 days! I know nobody will solve the problem, but I wanted to say it.
After unistall Google Play Service...
Problems disappeared:
- Incorrect battery percentage (now the percentage is decreasing correctly and the clock always shuts down to zero%). before going off at 35/40%
- As mentioned earlier the duration is much more (6 hours VS 4 days in stand-by!!)
Problems remained:
- Almost all stock/original watchface works badly. Data such as the percentage of battery, weather, pedometer, heart, and more is not displayed correctly or is not displayed at all
- The touchscreen does not work well in some screens (pedometer, messages)
- PC connection is impossible in windows 7 with dock station.
- bluetooth no connection to my earphone.
I hope that the "LEMFO" production factory reads these comments, otherwise everything we write is useless. Someone here has contact with LEMFO factory ?? I have already sent an email, but they have not responded to me anymore.
All these have been reported to Lemfo. However they do not make the watch - they just brand it and market it.
This is generally the reason why these issues are not really addressed properly.
One thing to note is that the sports data screen issue is by design not a fault. I cannot reproduce the messages issue.
Sent from my HTC 2PS6200 using Tapatalk
ok.
But Is there any chance that these problems will be resolved?
I still expect an answer.
and When will an OTA update come out?
New build version
My smartwatch lemfo les1 received a New build version yesturday. Maybe these problems was fixed
Did updated firmware help resolve some of the battery drain problems?

Firmware version?
It's possible to remove Play Services WITHOUT root ?
'cause I cannot find the root package in order to proceed to root my next Lemfo Les1 :crying:
I removed Google Play Services from my LEMFO LES1 and now Maps doesn't work and Gmail wont retrieve. I have tried asking around, but can't get an answer on how to simply reinstall Google Play Services. I tried to do the update on my watch from the About screen and it says everything is up to date. However, I am seeing that there are updates in September?
Thank you for some direction.
Hi guys, i'd like to ask: is it possible to DEACTIVATE Play store, instead of removing it? Doesn't risolve the battery drain?
If removing is the only solution, how can i ROOT the device?
This seems to solve the battery problem for me - and you make calls on the watch through your smartphone:
THOR & LES1 new update with Bluetooth Call
The Rom Version Z10-YFZ_HFP-20171122 (can be found here with instructions on how to install
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxfzg4Pb7M4 - follow the instuctions on youtube on how to install the rom)
After installing the rom, sign into playstore as usual, update and let it install Google Play services.
The best Rom for the Lemfo LES1!
And for everyone out there complaining about the battery life of this watch - TURN OFF PEDOMETER AND TILT TO WAKE
I found that these sensors for some reason, eat the battery up inside of 5 hours. Download and connect Watch droid phone, install it on smartphone and Watch droid assistant to watch - you can find these apps on the playstore -then select what notifications you want in the settings through Watch droid phone
***Make sure that when you connect watch droid phone, you leave wifi on aswell as blutooth on the watch - I found if you leave just butooth on the app disconnects every 20 seconds****
The blutooth call on the Rom doesn't stay connected after 15 minutes so if you're expecting a call (or want to call) make sure you connect it first.
p.s - you can install wiiwatch if you wish (which gives you access to some of the controls on the watch,
but watch droid phone is much more reliable!)
Now i get a full day on moderate use - and i have a sim inserted connected to 3g.
Hope this helps..
thank me later

Android Wear 2.0 Call Delay Answering on Phone and Watch Bluetooth Voice Call Enabled

There is a noticeable 10+ second delay when receiving a call and answering it on the phone and the setting "Play Phone Voice Call" on the watch is active. In my case this is with a Pixel 2 XL and Huawei Watch Sport 2. There is no fix for the issue at this time. If you are also having the same issue please send feedback and report the issue through android wear. Please read more about it and star the issue at the issue tracker below. Hopefuly this will get fixed soon. It makes the call feature on android wear basically unusable.
https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/71010564
This issue was reported back in December 2017. Some confirming that it was faulty even on Pixel 2/XL's launch back in October 2017.
There are about 300+ comments in the issue tracker. That just shows how bad this problem is turning into. Currently, the fix that Google released only works "sometimes". Since the same bevavior was happening to my Gear S3, I strongly believe that this has something to do with how they designed the Pixel 2 line. Hardware, software? Not sure. If you read the issue tracker, you would find that other Wear OS/Android watches are exhibiting the same behavior as well.
I did reach out to Google store's customer service and sighted the issue tracker. They are allowing me to return the phone even though it was purchased back in October. I'm still not ready to pull the trigger just yet. Pure Android is too good! If you're thinking about returning yours, note that they will keep offering an exchange but always insist of getting a refund!
Same here on ticwatch E with last updates + a nexus 6 updated to android pie . I start to think there's something wrong in stock android roms because most of the times this problem happens on pixel , nexus or one plus devices . My old lg g watch uograded via custom rom to wear os 2.0 is a little bit faster to react to calls ,even if it's not able to answer it on the watch, at least till September of the last year . Now it's a little bit slower but the call notification happens all the time and at least it's not starting to ring after 20 seconds till the end of the call when I just answered on my phone
I have the exact same problem. Pixel 2 XL and Huawei watch 2.
Hi,
Have found a sort of fix for this issue for my Ticwatch pro and S10+ set up.
Download CallApp Connect to phone and watch. Use a tasker profile (not my idea, got it from another forum) to wake the phone immediately when a call comes through and then calls appear within a few seconds. Still not ideal but much faster than waiting for the Wear OS stock app to wake up eventually and miss the call. Time to open changes depending on whether you use AO display or LCD, faster with AO.
Also dispalys a photo of caller if you have one which stock app misses also.
Downside is the app on phone is heavy on the ads/pay options and may just add a different annoyance to your life. For now I have choseen to continue using the stock phone app to find contacts and see how long i can ignore the ads!
I created a small app that would wake up the watch when there is an incomming call, its works by detecting an incomming call and tries to push multiple notifications to watch one after other to try to wake up the watch as soon as possible, and self clear the notifications once the watch is woken up. heres the link: https://gofile.io/d/7DIfyo
