My Moto G4 Plus doesnt connect to anything - Moto G4 Plus Questions & Answers

I had a few problems with my phone, quick settings wouldnt come down and other things, but nothing to do with network, my phone would connect to wifi and would read my sim and would use data. I flashed the stock rom and everything was great until it tried to connect to wifi. It just stays in searching and my mac address changed to 02:00:00:00:00:00 and my IP address apears as unavailable and my phone wont read my sim card.
Can anyone help me? im really desperate because im starting a new job and i really need my phone to work. I worked with motorola support and im gonna send it over to them.
Does anyone know if flashing a stock rom voids my warranty?
Also, i took it to a local phone place that fixes phones and they told me that it was the "logica" (im in mexico) the part that deals with connections, wifi or sim. Is it really that? Because that worked fine before i flashed the stock rom.
Thanks

Try flashing only the baseband with Odin. Then edit youre APN again. Put the file in 'phone'. I had trouble with JMI to and solved it flashing this baseband Or get it from this forum overhere
thanks Heppieboeddah, will try this tonight. if it is not too much trouble, can you please post the APN setting you are using.
I googled them yesterday, but nothing seemed to work for me... thanks in advance....

Couldt give you my setting, but i live in the Netherlands, so you will have no luck with my telecom-provider specific settings. For youre APN-settings you should contact youre provider.
maybe the luck is on youre site, and after flashing the baseband. The Tab wil recognize youre provider wenn you put in youre simcard.
thanks Heppieboeddah, will try it out tonight, also one last question, you provided two links, one to xda forums which was posted today. but someone was complaining that the file was corrupt. just wanted to find out from you which one u used, the one from xda or the other forum. i dont want to flash the wrong one...

Does Odin still see the device? If it does, try to install the stock firmware. It may take some time to find it on the net. The first place I would try is here http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3 and scroll down the page, put in your info in the drop down boxes and submit.
Thanks, Odin is still recognizing it
the original firmware was the ATT one
this Tab 2 has the 3G version
when I checked there I didn't see any one that was similar

It is a soft brick and is recoverable. Go to here http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=752 and read all the stickies in the general and dev sections. Apparently, you will not find an at&t rom per se, but can flash a new rom and pit, there are some very good detailed instructions available, but first read, and read some more, and some more after that. Apparently, your type of tab had signed bootloader issues, so be careful which rom you load. Also, as I have suggested with my links, go to the correct forum. I'm pretty sure you have a sgh i987, (based on the fact you were running 2.2 on at&t), and not a tab2.

Previous link was to the wiki, this one is to the forum. Many links will be dead and you will have to likely download the euro rom from sammobile. There is also a sticky for radio issues.
Thanks appreciate all the help AMD o just realise I said this forum instead of this link that you had pointed to earlier. So again thank you. Ok, as I suspectef, you have the galaxy tab, not the tab 2, hence this is the wrong forum. Go to the forum I linked to, there are some stickies about rooting, recovery soft brick, etc. My understanding is that overcome rom or p1000 should work, but you must follow whatever odin procedures, etc. they use. Chainfire has a great post up about recovering, however the file links no longer work. Go there and ask if someone has the file(s) you need. This guy lists the files he used from sammobile http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=996970 You will not find the files in this forum, this is the wrong forum for your device, this is for tab 2 models 31xx and 51xx, yours is a p1000 branded.

Galaxy Y no service no calls nothing

Some months ago, gf's galaxy y random rebooted and get stuck in a bootloop, she was just using the phone normally, it don't have root or something. she managed to get in stock recovery and wiped data. When the phone booted it lost all signal, no making phone calls, when she tries to call the phone says something like "Not registered in network", status bar says no service, I tried my own sim and also can't make or receive calls.
Imei is fine, when type *#06#* displays the correct value. Phone was factory unlocked, model is gt5360L.
I've been reading tutorials here, and other forums, but nothing has worked, the phone is now on cm 11.
Please, give me some help, if anyone needs more info or something, ask me, people here always talk about flashing respective modem, bit how to know which files should I download?

[Q] Galaxy S4 (SGH-I337M) says NO MOBILE NETWORK (HELP!)

Hey guys,
I'm new to the forum so please excuse me if this is the wrong place to post this. I'll start from the beginning. I bought a Galaxy S4 (SGH-I337m) from somebody in my city. They said the phone originally worked with Rogers/Fido, but that they switched the logic board on it so now it works with Bell/Virgin. The thing is though, when I put my Virgin Mobile sim card in the phone, it won't let me send texts or make calls. I checked the IMEI and it's not blacklisted or anything.
It says No Service and has the little circle with a diagonal line showing up in the notification bar and when I try to send a text, it says No Network Connection (No signal found for mobile networks). I find it weird because I still get a notification saying that I have an unheard voicemail.
I've tried resetting the phone multiple times. I've also tried flashing both the Bell and Virgin Mobile Lollipop firmwares and that didn't work either. To be honest, I'm not sure how to tell which one I would need to install. I noticed when trying to flash the Bell firmware, that the phone kinda skips to a black screen quickly every time I close an app. I'm assuming that would mean it needs the Virgin Mobile firmware.
That still doesn't fix the mobile network issue though. If anyone could help me out, I would GREATLY appreciate it!!!! Here is a bit of info, I'm hoping it helps. If you need anything else, please let me know.
Model number: SGH-I337M
Android Version: 5.0.1
Baseband Version: I337MVLUGOC4
Build Number: LRX22C.I337MVLUGOC4
Also, in the "Status" menu, I noticed it says:
Service State
Voice: Out of Service / Data: Out of Service
Not sure if that has anything to do with it or if that's normal. Again, if you have any suggestions, PLEASE let me know. I'm super desperate as I can't afford to lose the money I paid for this. Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Coincidentally my girlfriend has a Galaxy S4 of the same model and with Bell/Virgin. I opened up the ABOUT DEVICE menu in both phones and the only other difference I noticed is on hers it says:
SE for Android Status:
"sepf_sgh-I337M_5.0.1_0013"
And mine says "sepf_sgh-I337M_5.0.1_0009"
Does that have anything to do with it maybe?

Okay, will do. I will post the screenshots in about 20 mins. I rooted the phone, installed CWM and am in the middle of flashing the latest firmware again. In all my experience, Bell/Virgin are always interchangeable. Same with Telus/Koodo and Rogers/Fido. I tried putting a Bell sim card in though just now and it still has the problem. It doesnt load any of the signal bars or anything. Oddly enough, when there is no sim card in the phone, the bars show up?

Since it was from Bell, would flashing the Virgin Mobile firmware somehow mess it up? What are the exact steps I would need to take to try to reset it back to stock settings? I'm wondering if I'm missing anything. Or if the APN settings have anything to do with it? I set them to default already and tried adding the Virgin Mobile Canada apn settings as well

N-910C Camera Failed - Even HW replacement doesnt solve!

Hi All,
Im posting this thread after review all others.
I have the phone for almost an year and everything was working fine.
Suddenly the Camera stopped working.
The problem is only in the rear camera. Front camera is working.
Wipe data / Factory reset from setting or Pwr+Home+Vol up doesnt help.
Also i even went to a phone shop and tried to replace the camera. After 3 different cameras the tech told me he dont know what to do and think need motherboard replacement. Another thing is the flash that i tought might stopped working but it is still functioning properly.
Need your wise help guys! Appriciate every comment or suggestion!
Thanks,
Eyal.
Have you tried reflashing the stock ROM back onto your device? There is a chance that the drivers for your main camera maybe corrupted or have been deleted. If that doesn't work then you are going to need a replacement motherboard.

Thank you for taking time looking amd replying.Thats an intresting option. I didnt tried that.
However i also didnt found a root method for the N-910C. I would need to replace the kernel with a different one and i cannot find a suitable Kernel.
Let me explore this option and lets see.
If you have any direction on the rooting part it would be great.
Thanks,
Eyal.
Ummm, if you have no experience in rooting your device I would strongly recommend you avoid doing that as you can easily brick your device. I'd highly recommend you reflashing the stock ROM back onto your device to see if that will fix your problem. Otherwise you will need to replace the motherboard.

Its a N-910C it still has warranty for a few months as each samsung phone comes with 24months. How could the Samsung Tech not replace or fix the camera under warranty?
Also why did they try 3 different types, you would have though after the first they would stop if they matched up the model number of the parts etc before even opening the phone.

You would be better off just reflashing the stock ROM back onto your device rather than go hunting for the individual kernel. As the original firmware file probably has that within it.

From what I understand you should be able to reflash the stock Samsung ROM back onto your device. This will remove the root functions and restore your device back to when it left the factory.

No, you shouldn't have to root your device in order to reflash the stock ROM back onto it. Just download the stock ROM from Sammobile and use Odin to flash it back onto your device. It's as simple as that. But you will loose the root features after you do this.

Flash the latest stock ROM for your model with Odin. Root is NOT required for STOCK ROM.

Got to sammobile.com, create an account, it's free. Download stock firmware for you device.
Google search flash firmware with ODIN, you'll get a many web pages with instructions and there's a youtube video also.

Hi Guys,
Thank you for your responses, i have tried with Odin and downloaded the correct firmware from Sammobile (by verifying *#1234#) and after Odin pass successfully the device was not able to boot from the new firmware. so it rebooted again and returned to the former status (with all the apps and everything i currently still have ) means in other words Odin failed or i did something wrong.
i will keep trying. and update you.
Thanks,
Eyal.

Well, at least you didn't brick your device. Follow this video from Sammobile on how to flash your device back to stock

What did it fail on? If it was sboot.bon that's the bootloader and you need to get the same version that was previously on your phone (Didn't read the post above. Try below, that will probably work).

After it boots up and fails, go into the stock recovery and do a factory reset. That should bring it up.
