I just got a Gear S2 and when I'm connected to my S7 Edge it answers calls automatically but the problem is my phone is sometimes not in the same room with me. How do I keep the phone from automatically answering calls when connected to the Gear S2 but continue to answer calls automatically when connected to my vehicles?
Sent from my S7 Edge
I'd check to see if there's an option in the Gear app to change it. If that doesn't work, maybe look into making a custom Tasker setting which turns auto-answer on/off depending on whether or not you're connected to the watch.

Hi
I have just upgraded from a galaxy S4 to S5 and I'm having big problems with receiving calls and SMS when I am connected to my home WIFI connection.
Only when I turn off wifi on my phone I start receiving the backlog of SMS messages.
It's driving me mad as I have searched the internet high and low and lots of people have the same issues but no one seems to have a solution.
Some times I can receive calls when connected to wifi but the SMS messages don't come through until I disconnect.
My wife has also just upgraded from a s4 to s5 but hers appears to be ok.
I have noticed that in more networks/mobile networks/network mode, my wife's gives options of 3G, 4g etc but mine says LTE/WCDMA/gsm which I though was strange as we are both on virgin mobile. I don't think this is the issue though as it's a wifi issue.
Please help I'm on the brick of selling it as it's driving me insane.
Cheers

1- Regarding the WiFi issue, it may be due to some installed apps (a), some incorrect settings (b), or the firmware itself (c).
(a) Check to see if there is possible app that may cause the issue and try uninstall it.
(b) Compare with the S5 of your wife and make sure all related settings are the same. Or you can do factory reset.
(b) Try to update to the newer or latest firmware (compare with the firmware on your wife's S5), that may fix the issue.
2- Regarding the difference in the Network Settings menu, it may be due to different models. You can compare all important info on your own S5 and your wife's S5 with this app: Phone INFO ★Samsung★

Friends of mine were at my house over the weekend and he had a samsung s4 and had the same problem after logging onto my wifi. It is the wifi causing the problem. I had an old modem and netgear router that we hooked up and then we were able to receive calls like you should. We switched out the modem/router combo on Sat to my older setup and my phone is still working normally! I called my dsl provider and told them about the problem as I just bought the modem/router combo from them recently.
They never heard of anything like this. I do find it hard to believe that the home wifi equipment disrutes the cell phone signal. But my phone is now working!!! Anyone ever heard of this or that can explain why this would happen I would love to hear about it.
Seems on my Note 4 (SM-N910W8) on Rogers (Canada) the blocking mode is broken. It will NOT allow incoming text notifications from my "Allowed contacts" lists. The incoming phone calls works but incoming texts are all blocked regardless of being on my allowed contacts list or not. Anyone have any idea why and how to fix it (if possible)? It is really starting to piss me off, I need to get messages from certain contacts for work but I either now don't get any or I don't use blocking mode and get disturbed by all. I know their are apps out there to do this but I tried that and I preferred Samsungs blocking mode on my old Galaxy S3 and am now disappointed it does not work properly on the Note 4.
Hello fellas,
I recently bought a new S5 neo but I'm having this strange issue.
Sometimes i can't receive incoming calls. The person who calls me gets the "The users phone is turned off or its out of range" message. And i dont receive any notification that somebody was calling me (btw i dont have a voicemail on)
The thing is i have good receipton, i turned off call baring, voice forwarding etc.. but still sometimes my friends can't reach me althou im in range.
Could it be that my phone goes into some kind of deepsleep and ignores everything ? Faulty antenna ? Or maybe i have to manual setup the network operator .. im out of ideas..
Anything will be appreciated
Thanks!
It seems that, when i call somebody the problem goes away for a couple of hours. As if it "reconnects" to the network..
Hi there. I'm sure this has already been asked about before, but I can't seem to find the answer. After rooting my Verizon S7 edge, my mobile network does not get recognized after reboot or it will randomly disconnect every couple days, and the only way to get it connected again is to make a phone call. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900V rooted with *BPB1. I work in a large brick building which gets virtually no reception while I'm inside. I've been having a problem where when I leave work (and start getting a signal again) I'm unable to make calls and don't receive SMS/MMS (basically no non WiFi connection) until I either restart the phone or turn on Airplane mode and turn it off again. When I do so I will get any voicemails left for me during the day as well as all queued SMS'/MMS'. I've considered using tasker to automatically do this function for me, but I was hoping to find a non-band aid fix for the issue.
