How to add a home softkey on the Apps Edge? Just like the assistant menu home key, but it is on the APPS EDGE instead

Has anyone figured out how reliably to open slim recents with lmt pie? I have tried setting a button to open recent apps themselves and to trigger the home button long press action (which would be open recent apps), but they only seem to work recently after opening them with the actual home key.

Hi guys. Does anyone know of a working softkey app? Ive tried a few apps they all either work badly (simple control only allows you to slide them out to the edge where you swipe, useless for this phone as we use the down-up swipe for recents) or dont work when needed (softkeyz adds a second nav bar everywhere but on the home screen).
Any experience?

Hold recent apps key, then select two apps.
It's always on I think. Hold the recent key or drag the top left corner of the app to pop it out.
I feel uncomfortable to use recent button on my s8 phone. I want that recent apps opens when i swipe from home button up. Can i do this somehow? Maybe some app? Also i want that by fast press a home button function back works. Is it possible? Its like at meizu phones or iphone.
Here is a foolproof way to put a Bixby floating icon on your home screen.
No need for button remappers, no need to flash or install anything at all.
This method works on all versions of the S8 and S8 Plus phones.
No root required, the only thing which is required is to have Bixby installed first.
Here are the easy step by step instructions:
1: Go into settings>acessibility>dexterity and interaction>assistant menu
and enable it, then you will see another assistant menu so enable it again.
2: Then click on the assistant menu options and select Bixby.
3: Click the back button and you will see the assistant menu again.
4: Now you can select how much transparency you want for the new
Bixby floating icon to have on your home screen.
Once you are done you will see a Bixby icon on your home screen
that you can move to any location on your home screen.
When you click this new Bixby icon it will open Bixby Home and if you
like, you can set the right swipe to google assisant instead of Bixby.
If you choose more than one floating icon then clicking on it will just
open the icon and display more icon buttons, so only select Bixby.

i find it much easier to totally turn off useless bixby apps and disable the side activation button
