because i'm not happy to have much icon's games on my phone ...

You can always use a launcher like nova prime to hide the app icons

thanks i'm gonna try but nobody knows if in the standard options of the samsung or options of gamelauncher propose this ??

You can remove the icons from the screen without issues. Press on the game icon, it will give you option to remove/move app. Move it to remove. It will just remove the icon form the home screen, it won't uninstall the game

Change apps icon?

Hey guys i just picked up my S4 yesterday as a treat for my birthday yesterday and love it, but im curious how do you change the apps icon?

That's actually Nova / Apex launcher with icon packs installed over them. You can easily search them on Play store.

Hey man thanks for the reply, well i actually have NOVA Launcher installed atm and an icon pack, but the actuall button that you press to bring up the app draw is the same old default ugly one, opposed to the nice looking one that you see in the picture above.. Really want to change it as that one icon really makes me angry when i look at it lol
I figured it out
If anyone needs to know..
Just hold down the apps draw icon then edit then you can select what icon you wish to use

Is there a way to remove the Apps icon from the bottom of Touchwiz

I have my phone rooted, but I don't want to change to another launcher.
Is there a way i can remove it ?.
i really like the touchwiz launcher, the only thing bothers me is the apps Icon.
I asked if it could be moved and didn't get a response so I doubt it!

I was on the same boat but I don't think u can so I installed the Nova Launcher and IMO the smaller icons are nicer and you can remove it
Moved? No. Removed? Yes. You can enable the Samsung Labs option in the settings (I don't remember where it is, but google it), and then you'll get the option to disable the app drawer.
If you don't want to remove it, then your only option it to change launcher. I personally recommend either Nova Launcher (Prime) or Action Launcher (Pro)

Keeping Upday or Hello Bixby screen when using nova launcher

So I recently installed the s8 launcher on my s7 edge and am enjoying all the new style and bixby functio ality, however most of the icons are still from the s7 edge, the easiest way around this is to install nova launcher and customise it so it looks like the s8 but then you lose the bixby screen, is there anyway to get around this?
The other way to get the icons would be to download a theme, but i have no idea how to root my device and am scared to do it just incase something goes wrong.
1. Install activity Launcherhttps://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.szalkowski.activitylauncher&hl=en
2. Open It and select All Activities
3. Scroll Up to Hello Bixby and Create shortcut for it to your homescreen
4. Enjoy ! Nova + Bixby
If design is so important check out the S8 theme in the Themes, Apps, Mods section.
Problem with using an activities app is that you dont get the full screen app like in standard touchwiz so is there anyway of making the app into a widget so that it can be made fullscreen?
Ive tried to download the theme,* but it keeps saying that the download failed? Is that because of my account status or the download link?

Replacement launcher with split screen?

Hi - I've been looking to replace my launcher from touchwiz as I need landscape orientation for the home page.
Do any of the alternative launchers support split screen? Doesn't look like Nova, Action Launcher or Google Launcher do, and I cant find Samsung's Good Lock for some reason as I thought that might.
Any ideas? Thanks
Samsung doesn't want launchers to work in split screen. That is a design decision which makes sense when you think about it. The same reason that the launcher does not show in "Recent apps".
Fear not, there might be a solution.
A simple trick would be to get the apk that you want to try in split screen and then edit its AndroidManifest.xml file so that the app doesn't know that it's a launcher. (Not sure if you can do that directly but most probably you'll have to Decompile the app -> edit manifest -> Recompile the app.
If you have spare free time you can google how to do all this. And see if its possible. (Most probably it is.)
I found a great solution! I force landscape mode using an app and Nova in split screen - ie I have music on touchwiz one side, and nova on the other. That way I can run any apps split screen. Inside nova I can run maps which wont run on it's own in split screen.
Touchwiz allows this with launcher apps which are not set as the default home.
In fact it works fantastic. I use it along with a floating app launcher so I can press home and it wont take the whole homescreen home, just the nova launcher.

I recently downloaded the GalaxyS8_Dark_clock_noframe.apk and it is WOW! Although I only got to try out the trial version on a Samsung Galaxy A3 2017 with android v6.0 (marshmellow) I noticed that in the gallery app the title for each album is white against a background of white and not black against a background of white or white text against a black background? See attached image.
Is there a freeware theme that is similar with the dark menus, notification window, etc as I don't have that much data so I can't google that much....
Thanks

New S8 user here - some questions about customizing

Hi guys, I've replaced my iP7 for Galaxy S8 and I'm super happy about it (design, screen, camera) but I have some questions about that Theme Store Samsung provides.
I know that I can change theme and icons from that store but can I apply icon packs from Google Play? If no, is there any other ways to make this device more stock?
I have already installed modded Pixel Launcher, some wallpapers, overlay for a navigation bar, Gboard and downloaded an app from Play Store called Material Notification Shade to make it look like Oreo (which does really well and doesn't lag or anything, thanks developer!).
Thanks in advance!

Of course you can, but if you install nova launcher you can even change each icon individually if you want.
