My new S5 neo Askd for sim network unlock pin :crying:
I want some help plz
sorry for my english
It means that you have inserted a SIM card that is not from your original service provider. Most network providers set SIM lock for their phones. If your device is unlocked (Mostly in case you have bought a phone outright - not from service providers, e.g, Amazon), contact Samsung customer support.

I unlocked successfuly my tmobile g1 coming from usa, but now I have no signal and unable to register on network.when I go in settings,wireless control,,mobile networks.when i ask for available networks i have this error message:"error while searching for networks".even when i choose select automatically i have this:"your sim card does not allow a connection to this network".we have GSM, GPRS, and EDGE in my country.Do you have any idea?thanks!
It's your SIM card being locked to a specific network. You might have to contact your vendor.
I don't understand,my sim card locked?I don't have pin code.you are talking about my foreign sim card(non tmobile?)could you explain more?
I don't know why either. I just know that is what happens. I had the same problem with my SIM too when I went on vacation. But I didn't bother trying to fix it. Since I brought the local SIM to use because I didn't want to pay the international rates.
Hi there guys I have a LG C900 that is an ATT phone. I inserted a non att sim card and have PUK locked the phone. I tried calling ATT and asking for PUK code which they were able to generate but the code did not work. I also have the unlock code for this phone but whenever a non att sim card is inserted it asks for a PUK code. Does anyone know what I can do?
Not sure ATT could help, where is the sim from and what are you trying to do with it?
Is the PUK code related to the phone brand or model?
The PUK code has nothing to do with your mobile phone’s brand (i.e. Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, Nextel, Sony-Ericsson, LG) or model. The PUK is only tied to the SIM card.
What happens if I lost or forgot my PUK code?
If you are a postpaid user (Globe, Smart, Sun Cellular, Verizon, T-Mobile, Orange or AT&T), your cell provider may be able to provide you with your PUK code. Just call them up, authenticate your identity by answering some questions and they will give you the PUK for your SIM card. This is easy because the telco can verify you as the owner of the SIM card or the mobile number.
PUK Code was generated with an over seas sim card. If I put ATT sim card in the device it does not ask for PUK Code. But also if I put a T-Mobile Sim card it asks for PUK.
I have the same problem as you have you solved?
same problem here, any solution !
Dear Gurus,
I just got a brand new galaxy S4 gifted by my elder sister. She bought it from UK. It says European SIM Model on the Pack.
She bought it from Orange Mobile I guess..
When I inserted my Bangladeshi SIM card it requested a SIM Network Unlock PIN. I am afraid I don't have that.
I have tried the unlocking method using *#0011# but it goes to Service Mode then tapping on back
does not lead me to Service Mode main menu.
As I am in Bangladesh it is limited for me to purchase unlock pin from various website offering. Advice me what to do?
I am dying to use this set.
Regards,
Rubayat
I bought the phone in India (in a most respected mall in Udaipur) and my Israeli sim was working fine with the Indian phone as long as i was staying in India. however, as soon as i got back to Israel (where my Sim card is from) the phone rejected the sim and asked for an unlocking PIN.
does anyone knows what it is and what can i do about it?
I think this one works search for this zx3box samsung unlocking device
Hi All,
I'm currently interning in India, but before I came, I purchased a n900 and paid an online service to unlock it and they send me these codes,
NETWORK=50777079
PROVIDER=89981835
SUBPROVIDER=64259048
DEFREEZE=50242708
EXTRA=03516020
I put them in according the instructions and the phone was unlocked. It worked in Israel and when I arrived in India I used a local BSNL SIM card for two days and then it abruptly stopped working and I was given this prompt to enter a pin on startup.
"PIN to unlock SIM service provider"
If I dismiss this prompt, there is a permanent notification that reads,
"Invalid SIM card
Network locked SIM card inserted"
When I remove the SIM, it detects there is no SIM.
I have tried factory reset, re-entering the unlock codes, and different SIM cards for a different provider. My SIM works on other phones, and I have spoken to the provider who insists is a phone issue and directed to me samsung who says they only fix phones purchased in India, so they gave me a customer service number who directed me back to samsung.
It sounds like region lock, but it was my understanding that the phone wouldn't have worked at all.
So my question is, how can I fix whatever this is?
Have you tried another sim in the note? Did you try the sim on another phone? Is it possible the phone has been blacklisted by the carrier?
