Ever since I got the device, I've noticed that whenever I get bored and put the wood stylemod on that came with the device, even in standby, man this thing heats up a lot. Anyone else have this issue?
I have seen this in other forums. Do you have Gsam Battery monitor installed? My bet is theres an app running in the background. Gsam can tell you what apps are running.
Try leaving bluetooth and wifi off when not in use, turn off bluetooth in location settings, not sure if it would help but I did that day one, always have the style mod on when not connected to the speaker, only time I notice heat is while charging and casting fpse to chromecast.
Mines having no issue at all, and i always have wifi Bluetooth on

Recently my note 3's wifi won't turn off while asleep. Under battery usage it shows that the wifi is on the entire time. The android os also shows as being on for more than an hour (it's also the top app on battery usage). It's lead to a battery drain. Using wake lock detector and bbs I haven't seen any app that is causing the problem. I haven't changed any setting either. The wifi is set to never be on during sleep periods. I remember seeing a post with a problem about this but I can't seem to find it anymore. I really don't feel like resetting back to factory settings. Anyone experience this or know what's causing it.
as soon as my S5 phone hits the first low battery warning at 15%, the WIFI automatically turns on
makes no sense since that would drain the battery even faster
already checked all setting to make sure any auto switches are off
anyone else heard of this problem and know how to keep the wifi from turning on by itself?
nobody?
ok in case anyone else runs into this, i figured it out
after nobody replied i figured it had to be an app i had that not too many people use
after uninstalling one by one when my phone was hovering around the 15% mark, the culprit turned out to be:
prey anti-theft....a useful app, but now useless
Ever since I downloaded the app and paired my phone with my LG G Watch, I went from a full day's use to only 6 hours on my Oppo Find 7a. Its really frustrating. Tried resetting, redownloading and reinstalling to no avail. My phone even heats up now (something it doesn't normally do). I know with bluetooth and constant connection with the watch, battery life will take a hit but never expected it to be this much. Any one else?

bluetooth's problem
Oppo Find 7a must be defective, bluetooth takes very little battery life. I am thinking up until you had a bluetooth device you never turned it on, you finally turn it on and find the phone is defective.
My Note 3, I never turn off bluetooth off and I can not notice any battery drain.
Looked at the screen shop Android Wear is in some sort of wake lock.
Mine Android Wear is not even listed see Bluetooth at 3% but no Android wear.
You have some utility that maybe cause issue? I never use a battery conserving app they do not work.
or the device which I do not know may not be using 4.4?
I got my moto360 about a week-and-a-half ago, but have noticed that the battery on my Note 3 is draining more quickly than before. When I check my battery stats, 35-40% of the usage is Bluetooth. This was never the case before I got an Android Wear device.
Anyone else experience issues like this and know what it might be? I have installed a bunch of watch faces (though I'm using one of the most basic ones right now). I also have Weather Timeline (set to update hourly) and LightFlow installed and sending vibrations to the watch when I get Hangouts/SMS messages.
This question was never asked.
Bluetooth does not register as a power drain on my Nexus 6.
I have no idea what lightflow is, I get messaging notifications without it.
Hola,
I consider myself pretty experienced when it comes to maintaining devices and getting the best out of them - but I can't get my head around my S8. It's really bugging me and I've decided enough is enough.
I have disabled bloat, there's nothing bloated on it. GPS is turned of, Auto-Brightness on, Sync is on but I don't ave much Syncing.
It's a fresh install too, it's been running for about a week - but I have had this problem since I have had the phone.
So I can be on 100%, Wi-Fi off, just sat on my desk at work. And I can see it dropping a % every 10 minutes, doing nothing just sat there!!
Right now it is on 53% from 8AM this morning with 55M screen on time, 55 MINUTES!
What am I doing wrong? It's driving me crazy, my iPhone X is still on 100%. I know you're all going to need some more details off me, so just let me know what you need
This might help.
Try installing GSam battery monitor or something similar. With GSam you can see the old battery graph ie when WiFi, GPS etc is on plus also if the phone is going into doze. This might help for a start

Hi OP. Its frustrating when you have issues like these and cant figure out why. Is there any chance that subpar reception in your area is causing excessive battery drain?
Also instal wakelock detector (WLD) it shows which process drains your battery while screen is off. It might be background music, bluetooth or app notifications.
Do you have apps running in the background?
Try installing a data monitoring app to see if there are any apps running in the background as even mobile data drains a lot of battery.
