Does this software exist?

Hey guys, I was going to search the forum but am not really sure what keywords I should search for this one.
I am looking for a program [freeware would be better lol] that works sort of like Activesync but can allow me to access a virtual version of the phone on my desktop pc. Does that even exist for the WM6? I used to have a program called MOBILE PHONETOOLS for my RAZR that allowed me to do this but I can't find one for the Wing.
I want to be able to send/receive texts, pic mail, emails THRU MY PHONE but displayed on my pc screen.
So..does it exist and if so, where can I get it?

edit: This is a screenshot from Mobile Phone Tools. See how it's a virtual version of the phone? You can pretty much control the whole phone with your mouse and keyboard.

One question about this program, it is only me or does the back light on the phone always stay on when connected to the program? My phone usually shuts the back light off after about 2 minutes but it's still on after about 10 minutes of being connected to the program

Check what your power settings are. You can change when your back light goes off on or off the charger. Also, isn't your phone charging when its connected to your computer?

it should act how it does when plugged in to the wall.

Yes my phone is charging when I connect it to the USB port. However, after about 2 minutes, the phone will go into "hibernate" where the display will shut off, go blank but the phone will continue charging.
When I have this software running and connected to the phone, it no longer goes into the "hibernate" mode. I was just wondering if that's normal for the software.

i guess it is normal. when my phone charges the screen never goes off, so i just assumed it was like it was charging. but, the screen isn't going to go off because the program just grabs the info from the phone, you can't use the phone with the screen off, so why would you be able to use it on your computer with the screen off

once i used mymobiler when my phone fell to the floor and the screen crashed, to check if it was just the screen or something else, i thought itd be a good idea, and it worked, i just ordered anther screen and done, it has many applications

Wireless tether issue...some help

So I have the cyanogen 5.0.5.3 installed and the wireless tether app. When I open the app and start it, on the phone it seems to be active but I have trouble connecting to it from laptop. Also when I enable the wep security on the phone, it doesn't show up as a secured wifi connection when in connect to it.
Any idea on how I can fix this?

Do you have an Intel WiFi card? If not, which brand WiFi card is in your notebook?

I have been having similar issues. I am interested in finding a solution as well.

I installed new drivers (Intel 13.1.1.1) and all works fine...

I own a lenovo laptop and the iPad... with lenovo it just never connects, with iPad it shows connecting but no internet, with iPad it also doesn't ask for security code if I have one active

If your Lenovo has an Intel WiFi card and you're using Microsoft Windows, make sure you are using Intel drivers version 13.1.1.1 and nothing older.
Then do the following on your Nexus One:
1. Install the latest version of android-wifi-tether (as of this posting).
2. Start "Wireless Tether for Root Users".
3. Once the program has started up, hit the "Menu" button.
4. Select "Setup".

6. You should get a confirmation that the binaries & configs were re-installed similar to this:
​7. At this point, scroll down the "Setup" menu and find "Change LAN" and change it to something different from the default, for good measure. My example shows 10.10.3.0/24 which is an option towards the bottom of the scroll view.
​8. Try first with WEP off to see if it'll connect to your Lenovo or iPad. It should work at this point.

To which device are you connecting it to get that message? Because I think that the message of the power supply maybe only appears when you connect the phone to another battery powered device, what makes sense.

Ahh yes I see that is just my USB options. Will checked when connected to a battery powered device and report back.

Mass Storage Function

Hello guys. Just upgrade from my old Z3 Compact to the X Compact , and everything is absolutely perfect with this phone.
What I've observed is , that, whenever I connect my phone to my pc (through USB cable) the option of 'Mass Storage Device" is missing. This was a function I was really used to using on my Z3 Compact. Is there any way I can bring it back?

That's very strange. Every time I plug my phone to my pc a menu appears to choose usb options. "charge only" or data tranfer etc.

Having googled it seems Android has done away with option for whatever reason so your only option is to use an app.

This is what I see too.
So the only way to make mass storage happen again is get a 3rd party app, which needs root, and I don't want to unlock my bootloader for now.

There is no way to restore mass storage. It has been dropped around android 6 somewhere because it has the disadvantage that the mounted part cannot be used by the system meanwhile.
You have to deal with crappy, slow, low functioning MTP or use a wireless method

Seriously, the MTP sucks... I can't connect my SD card anywhere, and every time I want to do so, i need to pull the SIM card drawer off, which reboots my device, and always carry an SD adapter.... I wish an app that doesn't need root permission for Mass Strorage mode existed...

HELP! Recover Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Data

The phone suffered water damage and it's all green, I believe the digitizer is now broken for the whole 80% of the bottom screen or so because I can't enter a password or anything. I can pull down the quick menu and turn on the light, but after swiping from the middle of the screen to top then pressing the flashlight location, it still toggles.
What I need most are the contacts, though some messages, images, and app data would be nice.
The phone SHOULD have been in developer mode, but a program I used to try mirroring the screen said to enable it. No root.
Apps I've tried:
Smart Switch
ApowerMirror
SideSync
Vysor
FonePaw
Also tried looking into simply using HDMI/ MHL, looks like S7 is the one phone from Samsung that doesn't support it. There might be some wires that allow it but I haven't found any.
It's on 8.0 Oreo, don't know the exact version.
Any help is appreciated!

and with usb mouse.
So what you are trying here is to blind enable usb debugging option. If you can see something on the screen it is good because with the mouse you can control your device.

Thanks for this! I've tried using the mouse to swipe up so the phone would unlock so I could just connect the phone to the PC and navigate through screenshots.
I've also unlocked the phone through Samsung's cloud website, can't see if it worked and backup takes forever and does nothing for some reason. No luck, and thanks for the quick reply btw.

Thanks for the program, tried it but I can't get past the authorization with no control over the screen. I'm pretty sure all the data is in tact though
