I am going to buy nexus 6p on friday  . My previous phone was Lg g4 which died after 7 months of use because of a loose connector in the motherboard. Basically it was a defective unit. My phone serial number was S/N: 505 which was the earlier produced unit. [505= 2015 May, 506=2015 June, 506=2015 July.... & so on} So this time i wants to buy a later produced 6p. But how do i know the build date without opening the box?
I am posting a sample picture of the 6p retail box [collected]:

Idk, but you should block out the part that displays your serial number.

I just spotted a small crack line( appears to be a crack line) on the border of nexus 4. I am attaching a pic here.
As far as i know, i haven't dropped it. one time it was rugged against a table but nothing happened. Can anyone confirm this?

As long as it doesn't affect the performance of the phone it nothing to worry about. Besides it doesn't seem like it's neither major nor a minor issue.
It's just from the mold

i deffinetly have that same line , i never noticed it intill looking closer , its not really visible intill you're in/under a really bright area/light.
btw purchased my nexus in February (arrived around the 22nd of Feb)
This has been discussed many many many times. Its a manufacturing mark some have it some don't. I have it and mine came in November.

It is very interesting.
According to a Chinese forum, one customer supposed to received a 32GB WIFI version,
But when he received it, he is shocked by seeing a signal icon on the back of the out case.

And he is confirmed, it is a cellular version,
According to his description, he bought it from taobao (which is equal to ebay in the US), and the seller said the device is bought from the US, so
maybe some stores like bestbuy, staples or amazon wrongly sent a LTE version. That means the LTE version maybe is already in their warehouse, what they wait is Google's permission to release it.
This remind me that, on July 26th, when I went to Bestbuy to in-store pickup the New Nexus 7 16GB WIFI, they gave me a 32GB version, but I told them the truth....:good:
If you found it is interesting please thanks me......

So my phone's screen was not working. I bought a new screen and while installing it I accidentally broke the part highlighted below on my motherboard. Can anyone tell me what this part is.

I have reassembled it and it is working as expected, but I just wanted to check what I have damaged.
I think that's for the NFC? Don't quote me but I believe it would be so since the back over has the contacts. I could be wrong though

I don't think so. Take a look at this photo from iFixit's Nexus 4 teardown. From what I've understood, those four squared contacts in the middle on the left side are for NFC. Furthermore, looking at the other contacts in the back, I doubt the highlighted part is a contact.
NB: Red parts should be links, but I haven't reached my 10-post minimum yet. I'll fix it asap but for now just search 'iFixit Nexus 4 Teardown' on Google and scroll down to step 8, it's the first photo.
Sorry for quoting anyway buddy..

Hi. I just recently bought the s5 from a local retailer. I was surprised to find out that it had lolipop out of the box. Was I sold a second hand unit? It was sealed and it looks brand new.
It seems to have vodaphone apps installed in it.

Probably... I got mine with lollipop also and it was refurbished. Regardless though after months of usage it seems stable and haven't found up to the tiniest of issues like dead pixel.
Maybe its refurbished, but im xure it has to be kitkat when out of the box

That's good to hear. How did you know that it was refurbished? I got mine in Greenhills from where I usually get my phones. It had a sticker and all. Everything in the package seems right. I was just really surprised it had lollipop out of the box.
I got two brand new s5 at few days one from another, one with kitkat and another one with lollipop.

Can you try downloading the phone info app? On the last screen it shows how many times the headset and charger was plugged in. Mine shows 5 times headset and 29 times charger. Do they normally test these things or should the counter be 0 out of the box?
Sorry it is already used for more than a week. I don't know how many times I recharged it.

Hello, My phone (G900F) also had lollipop out of the box. It's assembly date (2015.31.1) is compatible with samsung installing Lollipop at assembly time.

Is it yours or an auction? Looks like real s7edge but software info and model number would confirm that.

is an auction .
It's hard to say without actually having the device in front of me. But the serial number should confirm.
Ask him about software info, model number photos and I can't see anything on the back of the phone

All you can do is buy it and see for yourself. Pay with Paypal and return it if it's fake
ok, i will ask him.
Why would you even think that it's fake? The price is low?

Try to ask for photo of the software info, model number or the details in the about device.
And how's going? Did he answer yet?
Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
The phone in the picture and the accessories also the box seems to be 99.9% genuinely. Nevertheless you can check the imei to see what comes out. Anyway the price for the condition shown in the pictures and not to say that a wireless charger is included is to good to be true so be very very carefully. If you can, check the ratings of the seller.
