Evening,
I have a signal problem on my N9005
Signal is just about non existent, so far, i've tried the following:
Factory resey/wipe cache
Flash modem with 2 different one, works good for 5 mins, then goes off again
Flashed about 5 different stock roms, same result, works fine for 5 mins, then stops
Flash a custom rom, same result lol
I'm now believeing it to be a hardware issue, unless someone has any ideas?
Change sim card would be step one .
Does this happen with all sim cards? Phone shows the correct IMEI? Was the phone ever dropped? Phone support's your carrier's radio frequencies? It worked properly with this carrier on a prior occasion ?

Hi, I recently started having trouble with my gf's phone (Nexus 4 running lollipop 5.0, lte enabled, tmo). It started shortly after I enabled a SIM lock pin on the sim, but not sure if that's the cause or not... The phone started to intermittently drop signal, and would not make calls (it would just appear to be dialing, but you'd hear no ringing and never connect). When I'd restart the phone, I could usually make a call. I tried to fix it by restoring everything the stock image, rechecking the apn, making sure stock radio was installed, etc, but the problem persisted and eventually got to the point that voice calls did not work at all. LTE and data worked to get onto the internet, but once a call was attempted to be made, it'd lose all signal. I discovered eventually that if I switched off lte/4g/3g, and only kept gsm 2g on, I could make a voice call. Next I tried her SIM card in my phone (Note 2 on Android 4.4, t-mobile) and as soon as I put her sim in, my phone started doing the same thing. After switching back to my SIM (that was working just fine, before), now MY phone is stuck with the same problem! (Can only make calls with just 2g enabled). I'm at a total loss. Has anyone experienced anything similar, or do you have possible solutions/ideas on how to fix this?

I flashed back to stock image a couple of times via wugfresh toolkit, but got the same results each time. I did, however, just fix my note 2 by removing my sim (the one that was previously working), flashing stock via odin (didn't help in recovery), and then replacing the original sim. This leads me to believe that the sim in the n4 is somehow corrupted and once loaded, permanently changes some settings somewhere. (I hope that's the problem, and not the phone). I'll pick up another sim card from tmo tomorrow and try flashing stock again before loading it. Any idea what would cause this? The only thing I did different was set up sim lock on the card, and it seemed to work just fine for a while, till it didn't... Thanks for the help, I'll let you know if the new sim works.
Solved
For anyone who may be having the same problem, here is how I solved it. I picked up a new sim card from t-mobile, flashed a stock rom via toolkit (with the sim card not installed), loaded rom, installed sim, loaded correct apn. Everything works as it should now.
I currently have loaded stock rom 9005XXUGBOL3_N9005VFGGBOL2_N9005XXUGBOJ2_HOME.tar.md5 and I have problems with the signal is always I have one dash or two sometimes even 4 when the day of your SIM card in another phone to operate signal normally all certice what to do all this happened to me from when I phone root and I'm also new modem loaded and bootloader and I had costum rom 6.0 because I had problems with the signal I returned to the stock ROM, but nothing like what's wrong with my phone
Please Who can help in this forum to fix MY phone because I necessarily need to work.
please?
Use the modem for your network as has been said before .
After a year on my iPhone 5, I've decided to switch back to my Note 3. However, as the title states, I've been losing signal every few minutes even in areas with good signal. Each of the signal blackouts last for about a minute. Furthermore, I have really low signal on the Note 3 (0-1 bars out of 5 when my iPhone has 2-3 bars out of 5).
EDIT: New symptom. If I try to make a call, it says dialing but there is no dial tone and a few seconds I get no service.
I have tried the following fixes:
Checking the SIM card. - It is not a problem with the SIM card because my iPhone 5 does not have this problem when I inserted the SIM into it. I also tested the device with multiple SIM cards, all with the same problem.
Factory Reset/Wipe and Cache Wipe in Recovery Mode
Updating - There were no updates
Turning the radio signal off then rebooting
Flashed stock firmware
Flashing custom ROMs such as Resurrection Remix and Cyanogenmod 12.1
Flashing other modems
Unfortunately, none of the above fixes worked for me and I suspect it could be a problem with the hardware. However, the phone has been untouched for a year and I did not have this problem when I was using it before. The reason I switched from my Note 3 back to my iPhone 5 was because of the bad signal issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Flash stock rom for your region/network if that fails its hardware most likely the connector .
First: Does turning Airplane mode on then off restore signal?
Next, check in Developer section and click ON [Mobile Data always on] then restart.

Turning Airplane Mode on and off does not restore signal immediately. I get no service until nearly a minute later. Furthermore, I can't seem to find that option in "Developer Options".
Hi, I hope there s a hope..)
I got a s4 and the moment I put in the sim card I noticed that it took max 5 min to get the network working. I thought it s not a big deal. Then the wifi was not working with stock and I rooted the phone and started playing with different ROMs. Every time I did a reboot it would take up to 5 min to get the signal, doesn't matter what ROM. 2 days I did a reboot(not the first one on cm12 with alucard kernel) and the phone couldn't get the signal, not after 5 min, not after 3 h. I put the sim in other phones and it worked, I put other sims in my s4 and it worked. When I put my sim in my phone after it had been in another phone it connects right from the start but after 2 min the signal disappears. I changed ROMs, flashed the same ROM, and cm13 and again and no luck. Now the sim is on Huawei p1 and when I get the notification tray down on the bottom it is written 25905 instead for the name of the mobile operator, which is strange. Is there a way to fix this?
Thank you!
Have you considered getting your SIM card replaced?
The carrier should do it for free.
I replaced it before buying the s4. And it also works on other phones.
OP, did U try to flash another MODEM for Ur device? Not some custom ROM, but MODEM? A have some signal troubles, but reflashing MODEM (lastest version for KK) via ODIN fix the problem.
U can find MODEMs and BLs here.
This thread should be in the Q and A section...
I just did and it doesn't work. I went today to their office and got a new sim and it didn't work either. Tried another sim from the same company and it didn't work either. I have no idea what's wrong...((
Hello,
I had CN ROM version with Kit Kat. Everything worked fine but one day I lose sim cards. I mean sim cards weren't detected and WiFi was 'Switching On' I mean flashing. Phone is constantly restarting by itself. I've done several factory resets, take out the battery and flashed phone with ROW ROOM (I've change the NON-HLOS file to get network) but nothing helped. Flashing went ok and I've got new ROM.
Phone is restarting after few minutes. I can not switch on WiFi and sim cards are not detected. Do you have any solution for that?
Thank you!
