Very good, I waiting PhilZ Kernel a long time xD
Thank you!
Well, after lot of test I think the Wi-Fi bug is only happening on PLUS and, therefore, PLUS+OC kernel.
It's weird because I didn't touch anything related to Wi-Fi.
I apologize to those who installed them, and further to those who tried the alternative installation method without result.
I'll built them again from scratch and report back.
"I told you..." :victory:
Is the OC kernel stable? Is it possible to under volt?

Yes, but lot of user reported PLUS was working fine. Maybe they thought they were installing PLUS but instead, they were restoring the default kernel backup.

Not all the Advances can handle the same freq, you should try if you can OC without reboots.
It should be, but I didn't tested UV. If you do, please report

I get the "process.android, phone has stopped" error after installing (wipe cache, wipe, dalvik, install zip), and I used the DEFAULT kernel. Why?

So happy to see this topic, thanks for posting!

Yes ofc, when you flash a ROM (like RR) you're using the DEFAULT kernel posted here.
Just installed DEFAULT KERNEL and I get the "process.android, phone has stopped" error.
Nothing helped.

It seems that the kernels aren't working fine on CM 11. I don't know why, but I'll ask TeamCanjica for help.
Tnx for fast answer.
Btw, your script is making backup of kernel and coping new modules to system/modules folder,
but if is needed restore old kernel, modules files are new and is problem because they are not working with old kernel
Good, that I did myself copy of these files.

Thanks for report bro!, I forgot the modules backup. Anyway you can use DEFAULT kernel to restore them.
But I'll edit the script to backup those files and I'll re-upload them.
Really thank you!
Hello everyone,
this is my first thread here...
I wanted to create my own personal custom rom for Zenfone 5.
I took several custom roms & stock rom based on Lollipop 5.0.x, and added/deleted/updated many apps to my liking.
I also added a new bootanimation.
All this took was only modifying the rom zip file.
After flashing my rom, I manually install xposed modules (example: blurred system UI etc), then enable them in xposed installer, set custom blur effect on status bar and recent apps.
Apply some general settings (example: settings dial pad tone = off, Vibrate on touch = off, Font size = small, brightness level = 0, auto brightness = off)
install nova launcer, then restore it's theme that I made on previous setup.
But I see other modder/developer, they "integrate" all these things on their roms.
(example: BIG OS for zenfone 5 has blurred system ui, all setup already done with its settings accesible by phone's setting app) (no other app available in launcher)
I tried searching how I can add xposed module on my rom, or simply add that particular function in the rom itself, but couldn't find any.
Also I want to know how to set a predefined settings for system and user apps. So that I won't have to customize each and everything after flashing my rom.
This would also eliminate the process of manually installing xposed modules, and setting up everything manually.
Please help me. Point me in right direction so that I can make my personal rom a bit better.
I have repo sync from Oneplus OSS https://github.com/OnePlusOSS/android/tree/oneplus/QC8996_N_7.1 branch oneplus/QC8998_N_7.1 and create full flash image.
I've change the build rules to allow the flash image able to be flash to fix error when trying to flash the image.
Changes on top of vanilla OOS repo:
1 . Add gapps as prebuilt
2. Exclude Snapdragon Launcher
3. Exclude FM Radio
4. Build rules not to include the device checking in the updater-script. This will allow the flashfiles to be flashed on the device without the need unpack and repack the image.
5. Disable Soft Navigation Button
6. Change the kernel build rule to use perf on user and userdebug variant.
7. Exclude the BT TestApp app
Working features:
Cellular - Both sim slots are working
Wifi
Bluetooth
Camera - Both front and back camera
Privacy Buttons
Fingerprint
The image however lacking the "Buttons" feature that available on the official Oxygen OS. I have been trying to find a way to integrate the option in but still unable to do it.
ROM Links: Mega
Kernel: OnePlusOSS/android_kernel_oneplus_msm8996
I would welcome any suggestion and recommendation. Thanks.

It looks alright so far but yes it's a bit early.

I made a dark themed GCam mod with some little tweaks. It's based on the latest Arnova8G2 Google Camera mod. Maybe someone want to give it a try. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1c8Hg-T8lLf6lED9noB_36TCbd3kX-nvJ/view?usp=sharing

No bug i found. change kernel and check
i am also using this rom for a week or so. clean flashed. even formatted the storage before installation. so far this is one of the best roms i have ever used on santoni. and i can say that i have used almost every one of them. great battery life, great performance.
Sorry for the inconvenience, it was not the fault of the rom, it was because I had activated the option of digital well-being, I deactivated it and now it works great

I did the latest OTA-Update and now my device stuck in a bootloop at the Mi-branding. No success getting into recovery (was Orangefox), so I flashed a new one with fastboot. I restored my last backup, which was working before, but it gave me the same result - bootloop! Anyone experiences the same or any idea where to search or how to fix this? I used Magisk by the way...

You mean Migrate? I use it also to restore Userapps. I think thats not the reason .
What do you wipe for clean flash?
I wipe everything except Internal and SD Card.
Then Flash Rom and Gapps. Reboot and do Google Stuff.
After that go back to Recovery and flash Magisk and Migrate Backup zip.
Have no Problems . Try it!
