Apparently stable has been released, unfortunately i don't have the means to test it yet.
Anyone tried out the release? Cannot find proper material on the functionality and or features.
Site claims it's good for daily use, therefore if anyone can test it and report, would be awesome.
Edit. Build does not work daily
How is this a daily driver when the release clearly states GPS & Camera still doesnt work? ?
https://devices.ubports.com/#/
Here says :
Active devices are devices that are fully working as daily drivers, it requires to have wifi, call, sms, data, OTA, apparmor and sound to be working to be an "Active device".
Only bluetooth is not working according to the list on that website.
Camera and GPS "work" but still have major issues.
Extremely buggy. Not stable.

Notice you didn't list camera or GPS on that list. 2 things still not completely working. If you click on the device it has a list of features in red and green on the next page.
Camera & GPS are in red but listed, meaning they work, but are very buggy. I've used these builds before man...you clearly haven't as you are asking someone to test it for you.
If you're idea of a "daily driver" is no Bluetooth & barely working camera/GPS you don't understand the meaning of "daily driver." From a technical standpoint all that is required for the Ubuntu dev page to be a daily driver is if everything works, not if everything works flawlessly...
I'm all for people testing this but its not good to convince people to install this on their phones with false pretenses.
*TO ALL AVERAGE USERS. FEEL FREE TO TRY, BUT THIS IS NOT A DAILY DRIVER. DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS GUY EXPECTING THIS TO FUNCTION LIKE A PERFECT ROM BUILD.
I've been using Ubuntu on my PC for years and I really want Ubuntu phone to carve up its share in the market. I installed Ubuntu Touch via multirom and it is barely an OS especially if you are coming from XDA and its riches. It was buggy, the camera didn't work and even if everything were to work flawless, you'll be still lacking the apps to make phone a bit smarter.

You have to install the Multirom-recovery from February manually, the lastest one doesn't work with Ubuntu Touch on the OPO. Also make sure to have everything ext4 formatted, had problems with f2fs and Multirom.
Once Ubuntu Touch is installed it's pretty stable and somewhat fast (not as fast as Android MM tho). But the lack (and quality) of apps really is a problem

Thanks for the responses everyone. It appears people had more knowledge on the subject than me. So it's nowhere near "daily driver".
Keeping my hopes up for a fully functioning one though.

Current status: CM10.1 in the works and this version will not be updated.
Got started with the project in January, I'm now ready to present you my first custom ROM (and kernel) - BLECM9!
First of all - BACKUP! This is not stable for everyday use just yet.
It also includes my own kernel, based on the latest CAF source code (ics_chocolate). The kernel gets frequent updates from CAF and me. Kernel version is 3.0.8. It's not as stable in the beginning but a better choice in the long term.
It won't include Google Apps, you need to manually install gapps package, as any other CM rom is by default.
Prequisites
U8800 upgraded to 2.3
ClockworkMod Recovery v5.5.0.4, not tested in v5.0.2.7
Instructions for Installing
Download the latest version of BLECM9 (Downloads below).
Copy the package to your internal/external SD card.
Reboot to recovery.
Flash the update package.
Optional: Install Gapps package (Downloads below).
Reboot and wait. The first boot takes around 2 minutes.

Additional Notes
Report issues.
Changelog.
No, this won't work on U8800-51 or U8800Pro.
Atmel TS users, 0.02 will not work for you. I am establishing a new driver, to make the driver standard. Please standby as this is my top priority.
Everybody, send me logs if something does not work. This kernel is under heavy development. On computer with ADB set up: "adb shell dmesg > dmesg.log" and send the dmesg.log
Major Bugs
No Atmel TS support.
RIL issues (does not detect all SIMs)
NT35510 seems to have issues when turning on the screen (confirm?)
Unstable backlight on low values.
Wifi MAC address is 00:11:22:33:44:55
No Camera.
No Bluetooth.
No FM radio.
No audio (except ringtone/alarm)
Sometimes glitchy hardware acceleration.
No sensors.

Yes, It's related to HW acceleration, causing some UI glitches.

Great! Been waiting for CM9 a long time ago too... Blefish, you should post some rules as to what we should and how to post in this thread, maybe instructions on how to post specific logs and what kind of info you need. The rest of the discussion should be posted in the general section. I would really hate for this thread to become a mess like Aurora's...

Grabbing logcats and dmesg along with last_klog.
These are helpful in figuring out what is going on
Install the sdk in you PC http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
Logcat
"adb shell logcat >logcat.txt"
This will run until unplugged or ctrl c and all the content will go into that file
dmesg
"adb shell cat proc/kmsg >dmesg.txt"
This will run until unplugged or ctrl c and all the content will go into that file
Last_klog
"adb shell cat proc/last_klog >lastklog.txt"
This is for if you have a reboot run this right after the device starts back up and it will get me the last dmesg from before it reboot and will help determine the cause of the reboot.
This will help me and everyone that uses this ROM as i can determine the cause of issues.
Thanks

Thanks to both of you. For the roms and the video walk thru. I haven't tried art on the touchpad because it actually makes my Galaxy Nexus slower most of the time. And with some gapps it's even worse. Since it isn't listed as broken I am assuming you have tried it. If I may ask. What gapps did you use and what was performance like? It prevented my nexus from booting at times. Just wanna stick with what you have tried until I get use to the new data media and such. Thanks again.

I have tested out all the features and everything is working great but please save a full backup from your previous recovery if you decide to use this recovery as it's still in an Alpha state.

Discovered that the TP 4G not compatible with the test 3.X Kernel yet
Hey Flintman just wanted to point out my findings after going crazy over the past couple weeks trying to figure what I was doing wrong when flashing the test Kit Kat ROMs w/3.X kernel.
Previously my TP 4G was working fine on shumash's SCHIZOID 4.2.2 ROM but I was extremely eager to try out the new 3.X kernels. I first tried out your non-data/media Evervolv 4.0.0p1 version and was unable to connect to WiFi despite repeated clean install methods and variations of cache wipes. I know that I had re-sized partitions with Tailor sufficiently for Kit Kat as warned so I then attempted to try out Invisblek's CM11 ROM. Not only was WiFi still not wanting to toggle on, but the rotation sensor was acting oppositely for landscape orientations and I was getting frequent crashing reboots just going through the UI. I then decided to try out JCSullins' updated CM10.1 ROM with his 3.0 kernel and then encountered the same behavior as Invisblek's CM11 ROM, but with even worse random touch driver issues that resulted in erratic automatic screen touches and ultimately soft-reboots.
Restoring a backup to SCHIZOID's 4.2.2 ROM worked fine to restore all functionality, but I couldn't help but think that I was still doing something wrong.
I got a hold of a normal TP (WiFi only model) and tried your latest 1-10-2014 Evervolv 4.0.0p1 ROM and was amazed to see that it was working great including WiFi (although 5GHz APs don't seem to scan as reliably as the past kernel) aside from the known issues. I tried the exact same install process on my TP 4G again just to see if anything changed, but unfortunately WiFi still wouldn't toggle and the orientation sensor behavior exhibited the same opposite landscape behavior as Invisiblek and JCSullins' ROMs.
I had thought that aside from the 3G HSPA modem in the TP 4G model chipset-wise it would be identical to the WiFi-only model so kernel 3.X developments would be complimentary across all TP devices. Unfortunately this doesn't appear to be the case and I hope with time you guys are able to work out any compatibility with the 4G model to benefit from the already terrific development that's going on with the 3.X kernel now.
I admire your guys' skills and look forward to all the improvements in store!
PS: I'd be more than happy to beta test anything you guys feel would address any compatibility issues on the TP 4G!
If we flash your twrp will it remove cwm or add another entry? I've never been able to have two recoveries working. I would much rather not have to use the power button and what not all the time in cwm but want to make sure I'm covered if something goes wrong. Thanks

Edit: By the way, I managed to install without Titan's Recovery... To be honest, when I tried to boot in titan's recovery my phone kind of bootlooped... So I decided to modify updater-script and change the match names to thea (XT1078), it installed flawless and booted just fine.
Okay that's sad to hear but I can't do much at the moment. But thank you for trying.
EDIT: Multi sim fixed in 07.11 build.
Where is the original thread ? I can't find it. You should give a link in the first post as it is not your ROM but thanks for sharing !

That's the problem. I can't find it too. I got the download link from the Moto WhatsApp Group.
EDIT: I found it. I will update the post.
I saw cyanogenmod so my post does relate to this thread...
so basically i unlocked my bootloader on my Moto G 2014 LTE, I rooted my phone and then installed and flashed using TWRP:
tk_gapps-stock-5.1.1-20151004-signed.zip
Full-CM-12-21-03-15-Bacon-modem-flashable.zip
Both successfully installed and flashed and then I rebooted the system as per the instructions and then my phone screen, instead of rebooting with cyanogen, it went black and wont turn on.
Please could someone tell me what I need to do to get it up an running, I have tried the following:
- holding down power and volume down button for two minutes whilst on charge
- leaving it on charge for 15 minutes and then repeating the above step
- I have plugged it into my computer and it has picked up that there is something plugged in, but my phone drive never shows up.
Thank you
why new thread if it is work of luk and luca?

Because I found it in the comments from the CM12.1 Builds for our devices and I thought I could share their great work and show the other people what they already did because there is no official thread at the moment. And I wrote in my first post that it's their work.
Anyone tested this on XT1069 Titan?

For titan it would be this file : https://s.basketbuild.com/filedl/de...M13/titan/cm-13-20151021-UNOFFICIAL-titan.zip
But because XT1069 is a dual sim phone RIL (Calls, SMS, Data) will not work. So I wouldn't recommend you to install it. I'm sure it will be fixed soon.
I use it as a tablet, so I don't mind lack of dual Sim support

Everything works except the things in What's not working in Post 1. The biggest bugs at the moment are that you can't select an other language than english and that Screenrotation is sometimes buggy and you have to restart the phone to get it working again.
I only use English so that's not an issue. I had the screen rotate bug in "stable" roms on two phones. Does it affect games and movies (auto rotated apps) or only switching rotation on and off?

No it doesn't affect games and apps with only one orientation available. But I had to download an app called "rotation control" to rotate my screen when I'm in apps for example browser or apps.
How is this CyanogenMod? This is AOSP with the CM launcher and wallpaper, that's it. And what are these weird search and browser apps?
This isn't CyanogenMod. There is not even advanced reboot menu. This is 100% stock. And no xposed of course. I'm going back to RR.

It is cyanogenmod, early version of it to be exact. They just didn't merge their things yet.

This is only for testing and development purposes my friend, it is not even a nightly!
It is just an early build and a really good one!
My bad. It is a great build. The only issue is gapps. All the ones I found for 6.0 keep FCing randomly and having permissions issues, even when all permissions are allowed
I had the same problem Ace2213, so I've reverted back to 12.1 for now and wait for a proper Nightly of 13.

[update 25th February: modem now semi-working! Here's a pic ]
Hi all,
I'm excited to announce the availability of the inaugural release of SailfishOS for the M7 (GSM variant).
Instructions, information and download links are available here.
The adaptation is very much a work in progress: modem and camera not yet functional being the largest of the issues but we're actively working on them and hope to have functionality in place in the coming weeks. Regarding the US variants, the Sprint version has been successfully tested but public images for this adaptation are not yet available. There is an outside chance the 'vanilla' M7 SailfishOS image will function when paired with the appropriate Cyanogenmod 11.0 release but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it and don't have a device/am in the wrong continent to test.
So if you have an M7 kicking around that you don't use as your daily or are keen to see what is going on beyond the world of Android please take this for a spin. Who knows, you might even like it.
We chat about all* of our hardware adaptations on FreeNode in the #sailfishos-porters channel if you want to drop by.
Cheers,
Steph ([email protected], @chucisteph)
* if you're interested in other devices we're currently working on over 35 hardware adaptations and are actively engaging communities for more.
I wanna try sailfish OS

Could a mod *pretty please* let me post links? (or post them for me, or another user post them, don't mind, I just want to share the info)
Never mind. Found it myself: https://wiki.merproject.org/wiki/Adaptations/libhybris/Install_SailfishOS_for_m7
Could you say how long it will be till we can expect a ROM with gsm working or are there problems you can't say how long it will take to solve them?

Days hopefully but probably weeks. The modem is there and detected but I'm having difficulty turning it on. Once that's solved it should (hopefully!) Just Work(tm).
I am installing this rom on my HTC m7. Thank you so much. Will love to assist you people in any way possible.
Update:
Everything works perfectly except, GSM, camera and store. Have played with it for around half an hour. There is another bug with power off menu. It got stucked when i tried to do so forcing me to soft reset my mobile. And i tried adding my sim card and after the reboot it get stucked in boot loop.
Hoping to see fully working SFOS in nearest future.

Touch screen not work my device :crying:
Hi all!
Happy to say that I have managed to get some modem support working this afternoon. I'll do my best to bake an image tonight. Where we're at at the moment:
* Modem functional but currently not showing SIM status correctly in UI
* SMS sending and receiving works
* Mobile data works (and shows correctly in the UI
* Call functionality works: can make and receive calls, however call audio not currently working
These are all problems that other devices have had in the past, and they all have solutions so I am going to work as quickly as I can to get them resolved and make an image in with fixes.

Sorry to hear. Your device is definitely a GSM m7? could you try re-flashing and see if it persists? if it does, are you happy using linux tools? we can debug it together.

That's great to hear. Once I have the modem properly working I will need help both for testing but also to enable store support (I need to send two IMEIs to Jolla so they can verify that the port works properly. Regarding your boot loop, the SIM should make no difference but I have noticed that the boot can sometimes be upset if the phone is started whilst plugged into a computer:- the GUI sometimes never comes up. I'm working on that but it only happens to me maybe 1 in 10 times so it's low down my list of priorities.

ok so sailfish is a fully blown linux distribution, means that once it's booted, even if the gui is messed up you can still SSH into it and ask it what it's doing (similar to adb shell). I just need to go RTFM how to make Windows recognise the USB network that your phone is presenting when you plug it in.

I tried 3 times,
I'm doing the setup with the following steps
1- Full wipe
2- İnstal "cm-11-20141112-SNAPSHOT-M12-m7"
3- Shutdown and Powered up again by launching android
4- Reboot Recovery and instal "sailfishos-m7-release-2.0.0.10-sg-rel-201602180750.zip", and reboot again
5-Normaly boot but touch does not work in the language of choice

Your English is fine!
ok so your steps 1) and 2) only need to be done once:- Sailfish relies on the CM version for hardware support but once CM has been installed, when you install the SFOS zip it goes next to the CM /system and /data.
4) You're using an older SFOS image: does this one work: http://images.devaamo.fi/sfe/m7/sfe...s-m7-release-2.0.0.10-sg-rel-201602191147.zip
Out of interest, in step 3, does touch work?
No am sorry
Perhaps in a different firmware version required, because the power button works. Maybe that's enough for tonight I'll try again tomorrow. Thank you, good night

Hey there,
am trying to get the sixaxis app to work with my p9 lite now, but the applications lists my devices as "incompatible" as it can't get the device's Bluetooth driver configured properly. I read somewhere that the required packages to access this driver is not available on the stock rom but it is available in Cyanogen mod/ lineage OS . if someone can confirm this, it would be a great help, cause i don't want to go through the hassle of installing everything back just to find that the device is still incompatible anyways...
PS: as a proof on concept, i have a galaxy grand prime with Cyanogen mod already running on it, the app worked fine and the controller paired there, but still maybe the device was compatible anyway even without Cyanogen mod on.
It will work.-don't forget to give me a thanks!
