Epson BT 200 Black screen instead of camera - Moverio BT-200 General

I trying to use Unity and an augmented reality extension such as Wikitude or Vuforia to make an app for the Epson Moverio BT 200 glasses. Although I have gotten the augmented reality portion working, the camera view is a black screen instead of displaying the camera feed. I understand this black screen is suppose to be "transparent" so the user can observe the real world, but I would like to display the camera view there instead so the augmented objects will show up on top of camera feed. Any suggestions or assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

I have the same problem. I use every component of unity to put background camera but it doesn't work. Any ideas..?

Auto-screen mode switching

Does anyone know if the camera on the Sprint Touch can be monitored in the background via a running application? If so, could the portrait and correct landscape mode be auto-switched accordingly? That would be a sweet iPhone-like feature.
good idea, just wondering what your usage intentions are. Motion sensor, webcam, etc.. I'm sure there has to be a simple modification (maybe reg) to allow the camera app to run in background, although that would swindle the ppc's resources.

[Q] Vignette app help

Got Vignette app last night, and I am not sure I am using it correctly. At main screen I can see auto focus borders, but they are too wide, so pictures look like they have fixed focus.
My question is: is it possible to reduce those auto focus borders somehow, to get focused item, and blurry edges for the things that are not in focus?

I've Got the Vignette app and there are many options to be tried out.
The focus is very sensetive and i need to take more shots in bright light but so far the best results have been taking the picture via the on screen button and i know this is basic but give the lens a wipe as well.
I have a feeling there is a gerneral bluring with this app regardless to simulate particular film stocks.
To avoid this you can use the normal camera software and import those photos or any photo from your camera roll and apply the style you want then save over the file or save a copy.
I hope this helps.

You mean something like a macro mode?
You could try taking a picture with the 'Vignette' effect added onto it (The name of the effect itself is Vignette)
thanks for quick responses guyz, well I am not sure if it does focus actually. I mean physically lens tries to focus, but I dont think it actually focuses anything, so I thought maybe it is possible to reduce those focus borders to get focused item on image.
pngface, yes something like macro, but not that close
Anyway since vignette is saving images withough jpg compression, daylight images will have even better quality than now(and now they are very good)

Camera question

Hello,
I am creating an application for android for my HD2.
I did everything according to the camera api tutorial but when the preview comes up on te screen the image was flipped horizontally.
I have fixed it by calling the method "setDisplayOrientation" and turning it again 90 degrees.
camera.setDisplayOrientation(90);
camera.startPreview();
But I still see if i rotate my camera slowly to landscape that the image gets skewed a bit . I don't want the image getting skewed when changing from potrait to landscape. The build in android camera app doesn't do this.
Am I forgetting something? Does the SurfaceView has incorrect width/height ?
It must be possible as the standard camera app doesn't skew it when I turn the camera horizontally.
Thx in advance.

[Q] Viewing 360° Panorama in HTML5 or Flash on Nook Color?

Reading a recent article about the Nook Color on Anandtech I would like to ask if it's possible to view 360° spherical panorama images on the Nook Color with the CyanogenMod 7 - since the Nook's IPS display should be excellent.
With its price tag the Nook Color would be perfect for me as a personal ebook reader and a portable unit to showcase images and 360° panoramas to clients.
Perhaps some good soul could test a panorama on 360Cities.net or a panorama in HTML5 and Flash on my website and report if these images are visible on the Nook clicking on the image of this webpage:

I tried Panoramas.dk and 360cities.net on my Nook Color running Cyanogenmod 7.03 stable with Flash 10.3. It didn't work very well. I was able to view a few panoramas. I had trouble with some of the controls, particularly zooming and panning. In general all of the motion was jerky. After trying three or four panoramas the browser would not load any web pages, not even the Google home page. I had to restart the Nook Color to get the browser to work again.
Would none of these work?

@brucemcl: Thanks a lot for testing. The jerky movement is probably related to a too large cubesize of the panorama which fills up the ram of the Nook.
@ace7196: Good and usable viewers for 360° panorama are actually:
Pano2VR
Krpano
FPP Flashpanorama Player
I just can't post the URL's as a new user.
This Flash panorama has reduced tile sizes for the screen resolution of the Nook, with the button on the right side of the icon bar you can switch to fullscreen resolution:

Works nicely on my rooted NC with flash 10.3 with standard kernel and stock browser.
Switching from/to full screen works in both portrait and landscape.
You can use the n button as a back button in the browser to get out of full screen mode.
Movement is smooth.
You might have to space the buttons a bit further apart for a better "touchability".
Vielen Dank für das Feedback!!
Now, where can I get a Nook Color here in Italy....

3rd party applications comparability

Hello
I was very much interested in LG G6 and have even ordered it once in eBay yesterday and cancelled it after getting to know one information none of the reviewers have pointed it out.
I have heard that most of the 3rd party applications would show black border even in portrait mode because of the aspect ratio difference.
But I was also been told that applications would automatically utilise the entire screen at least in portrait mode.
I have also heard that LG provided scaling function is not of great help as well.
I am from India and I am not sure how much time it would take for the developers here to update their application for a new screen aspect ratio.
Please provide your valuable inputs.
I am upgrading from Nexus 5x
This model released just 4 months ago so expect little delay with specific apps but LG's scaling works fairly well in standard apps, I would say stick with ur current phone for few months.
Thanks for your kind reply.
I am using the mobile phone mostly for applications and in portrait mode itself and would watch YouTube videos also.
I am not using the mobile phone for gaming.
Can you please post some photos of the scaled applications ?
I heard that the navigation bar would be in black colour even when an application scaled.
Are all Google applications and prominent 3rd party applications support the 18:9 aspect ratio?
yes the navigation bar does turn black but it will be hidden under the app your are using in full screen and pull down on noti panel will bring back the navi buttons, so if u watch YouTube videos after scaling u won't see any back bar while in full screen.

You mean I won't see black borders while youtubing in fullscreen?
yes but only if the content is in 18:9 format, lets say if u resize YouTube app and the video is also coded in 18:9 format then the bar will be hidden, at least that's my experience on couple of occasions so far.
