how to clear all data on ext2 SD Card partition?

can anyone help me out with this? i tried to search but couldnt find anything

Do you get error messages when you try to delete?

either format it again through your partition manager (i.e. gparted, paragon) or through ADB using these commands:
adb remount
adb shell
busybox rm -r /system/sd/app
busybox rm -r /system/sd/app-private
busybox rm -r /system/sd/dalvik-cache
busybox rm -r /system/sd/data
reboot

if you have other folders in there (with the exception of lost+found), just use the same commands above but replace it with the name of the folder within /system/sd.
i.e. busybox rm -r /system/sd/nameoffolderyouwanttodelete

Any way to write a batch script to remove apps in Clockwork?

This is a list of the apps I remove while in clockwork, with /system mounted etc... My question is, is there a way to have it do these commands automatically? I hate having to copy from notepad the commands as i have them saved, then right click in my cmd, paste, enter each and every single one

You could create a batch script and put adb shell before each line, then when you have mounted /system just type in the name of the script IE remove.bat

adb does have an "uninstall" option. I'm not sure it would work in this situation. You could try a batch file that has "adb uninstall AppPack2.0.apk" for example and see if it works.

I tried removing apps using root explorer but when I mount the system again the phone reboots and the app is still there. Im just trying to find a way to remove some of the pointless apps.

You have to be in recovery mode because the /system NAND is protected otherwise.
Here's what I do:
1. Reboot the phone in recovery.
2. Run Clockworkmod (by applying update.zip in recovery).
3. Mount /system in Clockworkmod.
4. Now using adb shell, you can remove the apps in /system/app.

Q: What's really above scripts do?
A: I do not directly use system.rfs (in rfs format) but making a new system.rfs in ext4 format. Copying the whole contents of the old system.rfs (rfs) into the new system.rfs (ext4), make modifications in the system.rfs (ext4) mount point, and then fix the access rights. Using ext3 format is also not problems as long as you use boot and recovery image that support ext3 and ext4 filesystems. After all the modifications, do not forget to umount both image.
Q: Why?
A: RFS filesystem in linux read as FAT filesystem. FAT filesystem permissions can not be set correctly according to the needs of the operating system (in this case Android). You're lucky if you modify the firmware and do not occur bootloop
Q: Is Odin support *.rfs formatted in ext4?
A: Odin raw writes the filesystem partition, no matter the form as long as *.rfs no larger than the physical partition.
Q: Does this really work?
A: You can try If you want to take the risk why not try XWKPN firmware already formatted to ext4 in ODIN package as follows:

You have to full flash (BOOT, Phone, PDA, CSC) your phone using ODIN. You can flash your own sec_csc.zip (extracted from csc.rfs using WinImage or MagicISO or linux) then. This firmware have all CF-Root- S5830 have, incl. CF-Root-S5830 CWM4 recovery b79 (b78 have CSC flashing error). The boot image using a modified version CF-Root-S5830 b80 for fast boot and apply ondemand CPU governer after boot complete. Fast boot but better battery life. If you need more efficient battery usage, set CPU governer to conservative using Tweak Manager. CF-Root-S5830 installed by default, /res/misc cleared so the boot image freeing some memory.

You're welcome! For ROM modificator (what I have call you), feel free to use my ROM as your template. I purposely did not make many changes in the userspace, but the core only. A proper credit for me is enough

SPen is the only feature which has made note so popular.
This script will not remove SPen functionality.
Look out for version 2 (Coming Soon ) of the script which will do so.

[Q] S8 Debloat Script - anyone any good with scripts?

Hi all,
I have got a modified version of the below script but attempting flashing in TWRP gets an "Error 6" code.
*NOTE: I am NOT taking credit for this script and I have simply downloaded it and wanted to use with my S8. I have messaged @Windforce0511 to seek guidance on how to get this to work but we were unable to workout what is wrong with this modified version.
The script is "DEBLOAT_Script_Samsung_Nougat&Marshmallow_Windforce0511.zip" take from https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j5/development/script-nougat-debloat-script-t3649953 however I have attached my modified version "Debloat S8 Script.zip"
I'm not really sure what may be causing the error. I edited some lines within Notepad ++ but must have got something wrong.
The intention of the script is to massively debloat and leave only core functionality. It's essentially including all the stuff I have safely frozen.
So if anyone is able to have a look at the zip and see what's gone wrong that'd be great. I'm mindful that there may be APKs listed in the script to delete that may not exist in our S8 firmware, but I presume that if something isn't present it'll just skip passed that and move onto the next entry?
And again, this isn't my original work and neither am I claiming this is ready to flash, as it currently doesn't work!
Perhaps if we can get this to work then we can add to it, ammend it and make this a 'working debloat script thread', as I know I'm not alone in wanting to debloat. I know there is debate whether one should or not, but as far as Android goes, it's always nice to have the option! I would love to make this script grow (once working of course) and have it remove all non-essential apk's, libs etc. This is of course subjective so would be great if we could work together and create custom scripts, like extreme debloat and light versions...

I extracted the zip archive and noticed lots of the double quotes is not encoded properly. You might wanna do a search and replace.
Also, you can easily convert this into a bash shell script and with root, you can run it in a terminal.

Yes I will soon be looking into this again soon to remove duplicates, just waiting on a new version of my favourite rom (Batman Rom) to be released and ill apply my heavy debloat to that
