I rooted my Samsung Galaxy s7 edge successfully through the use of CF auto root and odin. After sometime I was trying to disable fused location with the app named Disable Services when my phone rebooted and gave me the error "Custom Binary blocked by FRP lock". So I researched and found a solution which was to download a firmware on to my device with odin. I downloaded this firmware from a site called sammobile
which was successful.
Now the problem is that whenever I try to re-root my device it gives me the error "recovery is not seandroid enforcing" which I bypass by booting from recovery mode but when I check the root access it is not available.
So how can I re-root my device?
Note: Though root access is not available I still cannot update my phone because it says that it is modified.
Model number: SM-G935F
did you know that to root and/or install custom roms or recoveries, you have to have OEM Unlock checked. And after you can't go and uncheck it or else it will fail to boot and gives you that FRP lock words. just something i found out. Just leave it if you are rooting your device, if you want to go back to stock, you can then go and uncheck OEM unlock. later

Hi everyone! I want to say thanks for all the great info you provide in these forums! You have helped me root many devices successfully. This is my first time posting a thread here, and I hope someone can help me. Here goes...
I have the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime U.S. Cellular (SM-G530R4) that I am trying very hard to root. I tried King Root, which said it could root my device, but after doing so the first restart of the device resulted in a soft bring with big message saying Custom Binary Blocked by FRP Lock. I've done hours of research and that seems to be common problem. So I downloaded and Flashed Stock firmware back to the device successfully. I did more research on rooting my phone and all I can find for other methods is CF Autoroot. Typically this works well for me, but on this phone it is not. Here is whats happening when I try to flash CF Autoroot -
I enabled USB Debugging, restart my phone in download mode and connect to USB. In Odin I select PDA and select the CF Autoroot TAR file. Click on Start. Odin reports: File analysis-success, setupconnection, initialization, Get PIT for mapping, firmware update start, singledownload, recovery.img, NAND write start, FAIL! complete(write) operation failed.
At this point I look at the phone which on the download screen reports: Product Name-SM-G530R4, Current Binary-Samsung Official, System Status-Official, FRP Lock- On, Knox Warranty Void- 0x0, Qualcom Secure Boot- Enable (CSB), AP SWREC: S1 T1 H1 R1 A1 P1, Secure Download-Enable, CUSTOM BINARY(RECOVERY) BLOCKED BY FRP LOCK. (Note that when trying to flash CF Autoroot, the FRP lock message includes "Recovery" where as when the device was already rooted with King Root and then restarted, the message did not contain the "Recovery" but was otherwise identical and stand alone in BIG letters. With the device already rooted by King Root, FRP Lock actually bricked the device. But when trying to root with CF Autoroot, FRP lock only blocked the flashing and I am able to restart the device and load up as if nothing ever happened. I really want to root my phone, but I need your help to make FRP Lock allow flashing the custom binary, and to do so without soft bricking it!! Ive seen a lot of people with the problem of FRP Lock softbricking their phones, but I can't find anything at all on FRP Lock stopping you from even flashing the custom binary. Thank you in advance for any help you can offer!
P.S. If its of any importance The device is US Cellular SM-G530R4 - Android 5.1.1 - Baseband Version G530R4TYU1AOL2 [This is the newest Update] - Build Number LMY47X.G530R4TYU1AOL2
Edit: No one replied with a good answer so i reinstalled stock recovery while keeping root and turned off OEM Unblock and it bricked my device with "custom binary blocked by frp lock" and i am currently fixing it with Smart Switch initialization. Moral of the story: Never disable OEM Unlock
(A5 2016)
Does this happen after you turn off OEM Unlock because the recovery is not stock (TWRP is installed) or because the device is rooted or both?
If after rooting with https://forum.xda-developers.com/sa...overy-samsung-sm-a510f-fd-exynos7580-t3314399 i flash stock recovery and turn off OEM Unlock will i still get this message?
Thanks!
Please note that i had the "custom binary blocked by frp lock" error but i fixed it with Smart Switch initialization. I want to turn off OEM Unlock for security reasons
just flash previous firmware version which u have in your phone before frp lock.
nothing to worry its not bricked.
only ensure version u are going to flash is same as before , flash via odin and enjoy
I already did it, my question is that if i remove TWRP and install the stock recovery while keeping root, will disabling "OEM Unlock" show "custom binary blocked by frp lock"
Help
I am going through a similar enigma. I have S7 Edge. If I log in with Google and then turn down unlock on will I get custom binary error? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
@CrystalGTX
This is an old thread, but I am having the same problem; (stupidly) unchecked OEM Unlock. Reboot, and now I have "Custom binary blocked by FRP lock".
When you say "fixed it with Smart Switch initialization", does that essentially mean reflashing firmware?
And as a result, erasing all data?
I've read that flashing stock firmware can save the hardware, but I'm much more concerned about the data; I need my contacts, photos, txts, etc.
EDIT: Err, shoot. I see now this was posted by a Guest, so I doubt the OP is going to give me a response. Anyone else help?
I don't know if I can root again my j5. Yesterday I installed a custom recovery (twrp) in j5 2015 (v 6.0.1 marshmallow) and root my device successfully. Then by mistake I untick oem unlock and restart my phone. Then I got a message saying " Custom binary locked by frp or fap don't remember exactly. I installed Samsung kies 3, enter download mode and flash new firmware successfully. Today I was about to install custom recovery again and when I went into download mode, I noticed something different. Warranty void 0x1 (2) I google it but in every forum, every post it showing that have in front know but in my phone its just saying "warranty void 0x1 (2)" anyway my question is if I can install again custom recovery and root without bricking my device because of this message. Please answer soon.

Yes just go ahead and never disable OEM unlock.
I managed to rotate my s4 but not for the moment without downloading the root of the towel then supersu until the hay well I have root I gave in deactivating knox after that to think that everything was well.
Then try to install the recovery by odin and by the official application of twrp and by one that is called flashify and therefore install recovery the
Home [224,1440] secure check fail: recovery This error always appears when I install the rooteo and the recovery
When I enter into recovery mode after having installed it SAFE FALSE : Kernel
"System software not found by AT% T found on your phone"
My question is if you disable knox and delete the knox application and I am also root user and check it I can do for the recovery to work I need it to upgrade from android the cell works me normal but I want to update it, I do not know if it serves the width of Terminal base band in MDL.
AT&T devices have to use SafeTrap Recovery.
Verify the model number in download mode. If it is the sgh-i337, sounds like the phone had a locked bootloader which means cwm or twrp cannot be installed.
So I have a S8 (SM-G950FD Brazilian unlocked) and it freaked out while updating to the latest firmware. It boots to a screen saying "codification failed" (I translated, it may not say that in an English configured device) and asks for a factory reset wich does nothing. I tried flashing the latest firmware with Odin and nothing.
So while researching I came across combination files, so I downloaded the one for the right binary (5) but it spits out the error "custom binary blocked by frp lock" when flashing with Odin and now I'm stuck.
I would post photos with all the device information in both recovery and download mode with the hope it may show something I don't see but unfortunately, I'm a new user and therefore not able to.
