Baseband Ver / IMEI UNKOWN

I have been trying to find a fix for my problem in this forum but till now nothing works for me any help on this? Currently on stock rom

have you already tried to flash a stock image from google ?
it contains baseband as well

His phone worked OK but since he didn't want the crappy engineering build he flashed factory images - then the problem returned: IMEI unknown.
Restoring backup (I think he backed up using CWM) did not fix the problem. So I suggested he flash the Baseband 2.0.1700.27 of that version - and now it works!
So if anyone gets no IMEI situation, try flashing that file.

Not registered on the network

Hello. I just bought note 2 N7100 from friend and when I'm trying to call it says "Not registered on the network" and imei is 004999010640000 how to fix this? I find lot of ways on interned but i'm noob and I dont understand. My android is 4.3

It happened after I did factory reset

Can anyone help me? :/

try patch from dr.ketan and make sure it is not locked by gsm operator - when someone lost phone, operator can lock the IMEI, so you will have useless toy...

Your imei number is generic, you need to restore the backup of your efs partition.

I had an issue recently where my efs was corrupted (my IMEI said unknown). I did not have a backup but a flash of the stock ROM from Samsung using Odin solved my issue. If that didn't work I was going to try a tool called EFS professional that might help you also.

Did try the stock ones from the Samsung website? Not one that has been changed by the community at all. I also flashed a bunch of custom ROMs to no avail but the (latest) stock one worked.

Simcard not registered on network

I flashed my bootloader (i9500xxugnh2 - v4.4.2) to (i9500xxugnj1 - v4.4.2) here and after restoring my rooted rom, I experience not network registered. Can someone please post for me i9500xxugnh2 - v4.4.2 bootloader ?

I have same problem. Plzzz some one help

Could be for several resons....
Dial *#06# what you see?
Modem / bootloader incompatibility , try a different modem
failure to mount the efs folder . check here

Bad EFS folder , for this you need an EFS back up , if not you may have to take to a local service center and have fix the imei number , you need a Z3X box or similar
Of course could be hardware , open phone if you know how , check the antenna cable , check the sim caddy

The sim card is fine, it works well in another phone.
I did see it flash the 4.2.2 modem during Odin when I successfully flashed it from 4.4.2. So maybe the modem is the problem. Where can I try other modems?

Should be a 4.4.2 modem , you were using Omega rom? go to Omega Files free / 4.4.2 / modems and download XUGNF6 modem that is for the rom you have now

No I wasn't on Omega, I somehow managed to downgrade my 4.4.2 to 4.2.2 stock firmware and watched keenly what was going on when I noticed it flashed everything including the modem. My 4.4.2 TWRP backup only consisted of data,system and cache restore and I think that's where all the issues started. I've just seen right this very instance that it is XUGNF6 that before I saw this page update with your answer also confirming the same and it doesn't seem to be there in the listing of modems you posted. I have identified it in the stock firmware and am 23min from finishing the entire 1.6GB firmware which I started over an hour ago just incase it resorts to that. Man! this is nerve racking

The problem has been sorted but am getting alot of processandroid.media has stopped working. It is so persistent I cant use the phone but it now recognizes my simcard. What can I do to resolve this?
Update: I rebooted immediately and factory wiped/reset & cache and everything is now fine. The IMEI has been restored using the South African modem.
My goodness! All I was trying to do in the very first place was to install Prism barebones when all went haywire! I remember without a shadow of a doubt that I had not checked sd mem card in TWRP v2.8.0.1 when it cleared literally everything in the phone. For some reason my mem card that had the barebones.zip is now trashed and unusable. Had stock firmware 4.2.2 lying around and just for the sake of it I attempted to flash as I downloaded 4.4.2 as a last resort as I posted here for quicker help since this i9500 is my main communicator. Incidentally the 4.2.2 flashed successfully but trashing my IMEI in the process and my onscreen keyboard had started showing greenish artifacts as I type, reflashing it eliminated them but still my simcard was unrecognizable. Then I go through a nerve racking waiting period of like 5 hrs with my mind in limbo (couldn't even concentrate in the smallest things) just trying to download XUGNF6 modem S.A.
Now atleast I'm back on earth. One interesting thing after all this. My phone is described by all sections in it as official except the Knox warrant void : 1. I have a very strong feeling the hack is right infront of our noses we just haven't figured it out how to reset this counter to 0x0. The whole plan was to be on Prism by now but I just stepped back into stock world. Just as a precaution, I have just booted into TWRP and backed up EFS, cache and preload just incase limbo awaits me ones again in the future. Why is it such a hustle with most samsung devices?
Now before I even think of a custom rom, how I'm I going to protect my modem and other vital partitions from being flashed and ruining my android experience??????

You flashed a rom or without it?well rooting cannot alter the wifi.

I Thing You Missing Something, Check The Step again, It's 100% Working On xt1643, I already Tested On My Device...

I had the same problem after root i flashed a software called Elemental-X g4 .zip via twrp ....fixed it!!!!

Took me 2 days to find out, but this Elemental-X g4 .zip thing did it in the end!
My model is an XT1642, but it worked just as well.
It`s easy to download, and easy to install through TWRP.

Brooo...me too have the same problem...while first time I rooted my mobile...but after i installed custom rom...all are fine now...

Thanks! Saved my day, I was going crazy, Elemental-x just saved it. The issue seems intentional, if is is, for shame how Lenovo messes with users which need to fully control their devices... Root switch should be enabled in developer options in any device.

Same ptoblem I'M suffering from

Someone help me sir. My N910C can't use 3G or LTE after use coustom rom.

i use coustom rom. (DN7 V0.1) can use only wifi. but can't use 3g or LTE Network. i try Flash stock rom but it can't use same.
i restart N910C try to connect 3G or LTE my N910C is emergency call only.
Someone pls help me.

Flash latest modem from Here In recovery

you file modem i can't flash in recovery. i use Odin 3.12 in csc select.

your only solution seems to be restoring your EFS backup (if you have made one)

if you dont know how to restore, then you did not make a backup in the first place. Take this as a lesson for not reading OP . Find a repair shop to get you a new mother board

today i go to phone market in thailand . him said this mother board is 200USD for change . OMG it can't Fix that right ?. This way to fix it is change new Mother Board . ?

Can you confirm that your IMEI is not 000000000000? If its 000000000, you need to restore your original IMEI..

Do not use a language other than ENGLIGH as a rule. Try the pit file with the stock ROM. See pit file of note 4 Find it here[by Odin v.3.12.5]
