[Q]GarvityBox [MM] And Not Working Properly - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

I just installed gravity box on my s7 edge sm 935fd, but the back and recents key are not lighting up when the module is active also, some tweaks arent working
Please help.

GravityBox does not support TouchWiz. Use it at your own risk, it's trial and error, a lot of features won't work.

Xposed Framework (for Huawei)

Here is a working Version of Xposed Framework - it´s a modded 2.4.1 Version from the chinese "anzhi" Board.
Attention! This Package will disable the Huawei Theme Engine!
-------------
Gravitybox (latest Version) - checked and working
Flat Style Colored Bars (latest Version) - checked and working
Does notif bars will be color on Emui 3.0 with some modules ?
Because it's transparents
Yes, with the "Flat Style Colored Bars" module
I tried flat style colored bars but notif bar is still transparent not colored
Any way of getting the latest modules working? Some modules need the latest :/ Tried using the newest exposed and disabling Huawei theme in build.prop but no go. Won't start :/

No, this cause bootloop
Anyone knows by installing xposed; does it modify system files and if you try to upgrade your firmware; will this softbrick or make you unable to update?

Thank you for the advice. I will refrain from trying to do that.
Well an xposed bootloop is not really the worst thing that could happen. Just flash the Disable-xposed-recovery.zip over it and everythings normal again
does VolumeSteps+ working on this phone?

You have a few options if you have rooted stock rom.
You can use the latest version of Xposed, but not with 100% compatibility with EMUI.
Either you install the latest one and in settings and check "Disabled resource hooks". This makes Xposed work, but no modules that change resources work (themes, colors, bars, most graphical mods).
You can also install the latest one and disable the EMUI theme engine by editing the build.prop and changing ro.config.hwtheme=1 into ro.config.hwtheme=0.
Or you can install v. 25 or 25.1 (I think). They seem to disable the theme engine on their own when activated.

Works for me. Make sure you have the latest youtube and adblock module.

Official Xposed works on ME176CX

Just a PSA, really. There was another thread reporting success, but that was with an older version (75) and on a different variant which bootlooped for me.
Latest Xposed version 79 SDK 21 for x86 is booted and working perfectly.
Would anyone like to share which modules do and don't work for them? I haven't installed any yet myself, but I'll report my findings when I do.
Working without issue:
GravityBox [LP]
XHangouts
YouTube Background Playback
YouTube Adaway
Materialize Xposed Installer
NotifyClean
Maxlock
Greenify
Fix Lollipop Memory Leak
Flat Style Bar Indicators
Not working:
None that I've tried yet.
If anyone would like to add which modules do and don't work for latest 5.0 FW, then post here and I'll keep this post updated.

Did you get it here? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811
I've flashed 79 SDK 21 for x86 a number of times and every time the Xposed app tells me the framework isn't installed. Is there a trick to doing this?
P.S. If you know of any way to downgrade from lollipop back to kitkat do let me know, I upgraded earlier today and I'm regretting it already.

Working Xposed Modules on MM

Hi,
I've just installed xposed framework on the MM-build and I'm currently figuring out which modules are working on the single sim Z3+.
This thread has a list but at least on my device some of the modules on the working-list seems to cause boot loops or black screens.
The modules I've tried so far that seems to be working are:
* Gravity Box (puh!)
* App settings
* Adblocker (at least not causing boot loops)
* Bootmanager
* Flat style bar indicators
* Flat style Colored bars
* Lucky Patcher
* Minminguard
* Greenify
* Secure Settings
* Xposed Torch
* Xstana
* XNotifications
* Youtube AdAway
Modules not working:
I will try to update this thread as I find more modules working/not working. But I would be very grateful if you guys could help in filling the list with noth working and not working modules!
Thanks,
Andreas

That's strange. What framework are you on (number) and do you have any other modules active? Also, have you changed the dpi of your screen?
And I guess you're also on MM?

Andreas
My framework version is 80. My dpi is 320.
Xposed torch works ok on my device too
Have you installed it using the standard files or special files for z3+?
can some tell me step by step how to install gravity on android MM? tq
Just to ask before I go through the whole process:
If anyone has Xposed working on your Z3+/Z4 (running Android 6.0 Marshmallow, of course) could you check and install Physical Button Music Control and see if it's working with Xposed properly? I know Xposed provides a lot of capabilities but the only module I've ever used or cared about is that one to let me control music playback with the volume buttons so it's massively important.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated, thanks!
To ask the similar question...Anyone managed to install xposed on 185 build (MM) on DS version?

Xposed on Nougat: Yes, we can

Guys, as many of you will know, there is an unofficial port of Xposed to Nougat.
I wanted to let you know that a couple of us jumped ship, upgraded to Nougat and then flashed Magisk/Xposed.
Things worked out pretty well, all considered.
In my case, T819, Stock Nougat, Magisk 13.3 + systemless root + systemless Adaway, Xposed Sdk 24 for Magisk.
Basically all of my modules are working (with a few quirks).
For all of you who were waiting for Xposed before upgrading.
P. S. Be aware that this Xposed version is not the official release by Rovo, and is basically still a hack. You have been warned.
Could you name a few of your modules you are currently using?
Interested in Minminguard, RootCloak, and Youtube adaway.
I am currently using:
- Bootmanager : looks like it is working just fine
- Intelli3g : working fine
- Exi for SwiftKey : working fine
- AppSettings : works only with some apps
- NoDeviceCheck : works as expected, but it is best effort anyway
Roughly speaking, MinMinGuard behaves a lot like AppSettings: it definitely works, but I had a few FC, and so I have temporarily disabled it.
Greenify is not safe to enable yet. Amplify might be, but I didn't yet.
Does it need deodoxed rom?
Does SafetyNet pass?
I am on 6.0.1 and everythign is fine with Magisk until I try to install the xposed 23 module which results in a stuck booting screen.
No, I does not need deodex. In fact, I am on stock (no custom ROM for the T819).
Safety net check passes just right, until you activate Xposed, but this is known stuff.
For anyone that is interested, there is a thread in the Xposed forum with the list of modules that work with this port.
I also want to mention that rovo89 stepped in a few days ago, to announce that the official release of Xposed for Nougat is close, it will probably be out in a few weeks. I guess all of these Oreos are making Nougats start stinking a bit already... :laugh:
can you give a link?

Most debloatable pie rom port with latest security patches

Hi, thread title says it:
I'm searching for a android pie rom port with the most debloat options and that gets up to date security patches.
I don't need most of the samsung stuff so I'd want to debloat as much of the samsung stock apps and functions as possible.
Mod selection with sound mod, added "reboot to recovery" button, 180° screen rotation for all apps, lock and homescreen as well as a kernel that supports double tap 2 wake are also requirements.
Can anyone make recommendations?
PS: I have the flat version but I thought it's a good idea to also ask here since there seem to be roms that are made for both versions but only listed under one device tree.

Double tap to wake will work on any pie rom which is using MORO Kernel .
The most debloat options and sound mod is available in Light Rom . I'm not aware if it has the rotation and reboot to recovery button features
