Hi. I have the LG-D802 variant of this phone that I bought a couple of days ago. I have a few questions
1. Is this LTE capable? If so, how do I activate LTE? Can't find it in the mobile data settings.
2. Is this equipped with the capability to do wireless charging?
Thanks!

1.Not sure, but try search at hidden menu
3845#*802# - LTE only - Mode selection
2.Verizon only
Thanks. Apparently, this variant is set to automatically get LTE signals when available. Was wondering coz my wife's iPhone had a switch inside settings that allowed her to toggle her LTE on and off. It's my first time to use an LTE capable phone.
The wireless charging only being made available to the Verizon variant sucks.

did you get LTE on your G2 ?
My provider only uses HSPA +/LTE, the phone always downgrades to hspa (non +) and sometimes 3g which my provider doesn't support so I loose my data connection and it sometimes takes a really long time for it to go back to the proper hspa+ that I need it to use all the time. Anybody knows if I can somehow force the phone to use hspa+ 100% of the time?
Thanks

Switch to HSPA+ only mode. Probably wont work with phone calls unless you VOIP.
How??

You must be mixing up HSPA+ with LTE. I don't think there's a way to choose between HSPA/HSPA+/UMTS, they're all considered 3G or WCDMA (unless you're in Canada.. carriers lie here, those networks shown as 4G are actually 3G)

Well when my phone shows 3g or hspa I cant get anything to load online, it will stay on this mode for a while sometimes and then as soon as the phone shows hspa+ everything loads perfect. Every othere phone I have bought from Bell mobility in canada show hspa+ all the time.

I also had an unlocked Note 2 with exynos processor that did the same thing.

I just tried making a call with my Note 3 (S800) and it was able to make a call on HSPA+ on TELUS. I think either your location doesn't have good HSPA+ signal / it's overloaded or there's a problem with the phone, does it support all the 3G frequencies Bell uses?

I know, you said "switch to HSPA+ only but you may not be able to make calls." You can switch to LTE only and you will not be able to make calls. You can make calls on HSPA+.

call #9090#.
Will bring up configuration menu.
Should be tons of radio mode options. One should be HSPA+ only.
Must be the wrong code, *9090* doesn't do anything and *#9090# brings me to a service menu which has no radio settings

Bell mobility uses "UMTS/HSPA compatible on 850 and 1900 MHz bands" which is supported by the note 3, I just dont get why both my unlocked exynos note 2 (got rid of it 1 month after I bought it because of this problem) and also the exynos note 3 have this problem on bell mobility in canada.....

You can always edit data retry to a smaller number in your build.prop.
"ro.telephony.default_network" is the build.prop entry for which default network you're on. You could figure out which one of those corresponds to HSPA+ (probably through trial and error).
**edit
Oh, you may just have to flash a new modem then O.0
My N9005 is missing quite a few radios at the moment as well.
Wish I could do all of that lol

Maybe there is sime kind of problem with your sim and/or phone...
I'm with Virgin (owned by Bell and same network). My device is switching between 3G and HSPA+... And it's working perfectly fine.

see if this works:
Settings > More Networks (under connections) > Mobile Networks > Network Mode = choose the option which you like and see if it works.
heads up, even with settings forced from here my network sometimes fluctuates.
I searched everywhere and still haven't found any solutions yet. I have the Galaxy Note 3 N9005 model. I used to get T-mobiles LTE signals when I had my HTC One but since getting my Note 3 I no longer get LTE. I only get H and H+ speeds. I checked the settings and LTE is enabled but still no LTE is showing on the status bar.

I had that i took the sim out and that done it
Hello,
I have Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900F (SM-G900FXXU1POEC) which is not rooted.
Recently I have got 4G SIM here in India, but not able to connect to 4G Network.
Have LTE/WCDMA/GSM (auto connect) selected under Network Mode.
on the SIM part, I have tried using this SIM in another LTE compatible device and with it 4G works fine. So no problem with SIM or service provider it seems.
I have observed that here 4G works with LTE Band 40 (2300MHz) which is not supported by his version of phone. Is there a way to enable this band without rooting the phone?
Please help.

I live in NYC and have TMobile account. When I got the phone and connected it was only connecting to 3g . I switch the setting to allow LTE and it now connects to 4g with good speeds. But for some reason whenever I reboot my phone or change setting where LTE is not enabled ,phone doesn't connect to 3g anymore but only to 2g . Does anyone know what happened ?
BTW I already tried to reset the phone
Thanks for any information

I thought I read that this model will lose the network setting every time the phone is restarted. You have to go into network settings and re-select 4G LTE. I'm thinking of getting this model for use on AT&T. Try resetting the network preference and let us know what happens.

It does loose it's connection after reboot but at first it would switch to 3g and stay there, about few weeks after owning device it only switches to 2g as if no 3g available

That's odd. And nothing has changed since you bought it? When you reboot the phone and it defaults to 2G, if you then change it to 4G LTE manually, will it stay on 4G LTE until the next reboot?

It stays on 4g without issues but stopped connecting to 3g after reboot. I know it's not much but now when I make a call 4g switches to 2g and it takes longer the usual for call to go through .

i suspect this has something to do with your simcard/network. i have the H870DS, and i got 4G+/LTE out of the box with a Koodo (in Canada) sim. nothing changes with reboot.
