Hi guys I'm pretty new to the forums.
I've recently updated my note 4 to 6.0.1 via OTA not a rooted phone.
Now sometimes my phone battery will just drop down from like 40 percent to 0 but that's a known battery issue.
What the problem is sometimes the phone would just shut off by itself and when I turn it back on I have to wait a few minutes and it'll read phone cannot boot and all these msg's pop up. RIght now it's working so I can't really remember what it says but I would like to reflash or put a different rom on?
How do I go abouts doing this?
Thanks

Odd Problem.
Tmoble has been spamming me for months trying to get me to accept an update I don't want. Now this evening when I clicked my S5 it was in Developer mode downloading something. I pulled the battery to stop it; waited 5 min and stuck it back in and the download started again.
Is there any way I can stop this?
Hey guys I've got my N6P International set, with nanosim.
Every once in a while, when I'm surfing the net, facebook etc. my data would just drop from LTE to "No Service" and stays there for 15 or so seconds before jumping back up.
I have tried going back to stock/locked bootloader, tested with another sim card and yet the issue occurs.
Using my sim card on another phone shows no drop in signal.. any advice or if I should RMA my device.
Currently back to 6.0.1 Chroma.
Its getting really frustrating in the last 10 mins to drop over 3 times.
With phone on take SIM card out, then restart the phone. After it reboots, then reinsert the SIM card.
thanks for the tip but it don't really help, still happening.
Have the same issue. Ended up having to RMA my phone. Huawei must have sent me a diffrent phone (used) since the IMEI is diffrent. It worked for couple hours then I got Nougat 7.1.2 update and LTE started droping again . Thought the update caused the issue so I unenrolled from Andorid Beta and rolled back to 7.1.1. but it did not help. Does anyone have a clue what could be the cause?
I do have the same issue for about 2-3 months, but only at work where's pretty bad signal. Data stays on until its used by any app, play store upgrade or yt video buffering for instance. Then it disconnects and search for signal again. Very annoying. At home everything works just fine. That's really really strange.
I have a note 4 which I flashed to metropcs. Every once in a while the data turns itself off. The 4glte icon goes away. I have to do into data usage and manually turn it off, then on again. Sometimes it happens 10x a day. Others 2x. Also sometimes I gave to wait anywhere from 1 to 10 min's before it will turn on again.... Anyone have ideas?
I had this issue for awhile. When you say flashed to metro pcs what do mean. Whay varient And what rom kernel combo
I guess flashed was a poor choice of words. I had it switched or whatever you want to call it.
It was a tmobIle phone.
I'm running Android 5.1.1. Everything is stock.
Kernel is 3.10.40-6209177.

Hi there.
First time I turn to you guys asking for help I've been reading this forum for years and always found an answer but this time I'm at loss.
I have Oneplus 2 stock phone working nicely until Oxygen OS 3.5.8 OTA update. After the update I started noticing that the 3G/4G/LTE/H+ changed rapidly and finally it decided that E (edge) was the only way to go :S
I have tested the SIM card in Samsung Galaxy S6 with no problems. Also I have created new APN records, with no help. I can call the phone and it wakes up but when I try to call out it doesn't work. Atleast doesn't work until you wake up it with calling from another phone to it first. And here's the weirdest part: If I connect the phone in to the charger... The data mobile data starts working . Also if I open the phone test menu using dialer *#*#4636#*#* I get network error when not connected to charger.
I have not rooted the phone since I promised it to my son and Pokemon Go goes difficult with all the root hiding stuff these days so I would like to stay with the stock rom. Also (ofcourse) the guarantee is over so no help there
Any ideas or experience with this problem?
Did you try factory reset?
Hi all I have a Samsung s8+ on Vodafone UK and have got the same problem as many people out here device freezes and then reboots out of nowhere after reading endless comments on it and not getting anywhere I noticed that my phone freezes and reboots 9 out of 10 times when I'm outside and it's cold now I was wondering if anyone else has found that when there outside and have their device out it does this? Quick example I walked to the gym today which is a 10 min walk and on the way there it did it once then on my way back it did it twice now whilst being at the gym it didn't do it and being back home now for about 3 hours it hasn't happened once. Imo it's the hardware but I want to know if anyone else experienced it in this way or maybe this will trigger a lightbulb moment and we get a solution.
Thanks guys.
Quick edit: I have tried the hard reset, the factory reset, smart switch, got the latest update and device is 3 months old

Why do you think it's the hardware?
Flash a new stock rom using Odin. Get the latest version for your device and carrier.

Because it only seems to happen outside I went from last nights post to this morning without reboot but as soon as I stepped outside within 10 min it happened then I tried replying to this post and it happened again so yeah done this reply twice. I'm currently inside and it hasn't happened. I don't know if it's the battery is being sensitive to temperature changes after the exploding ones but I don't seem to have this problem indoors I was outside for roughly 25 min and it rebooted twice consistent with other times now I have read a comment of a guy describing the same problem and he had his motherboard replaced and the phone seemed to be working fine after that but there has not been an update after that so I'm not sure if that was a long term solution.
