Hi, so I recently tried to install xposed on my note 4 (smn910w8) however my phone just got stuck on the Samsung screen. I know this version (6.0.1) is pretty new so I was just wondering if anyone has gotten it to work, if so what did you do.
Edit: this is the tutorial I used which did not work for some reason https://devs-lab.com/download-install-xposed-for-samsung-devices.html
Of course Xposed is working on Marshmallow. Its been weeks actually, since Wanam came up with the ALT version. And for some phones the standard version works too, but for Snapdragon ones its the ALT version which works. I don't have any idea about that model no. though!

Dont exist oficial firmware on Samsung Updates (Latest News and Firmware for your Samsung Devices!) for SM-T530NY . Are you sure that you have such a model? Look to Settings>General>about device model name .
I'll be damned. It's a SM-T530NU. I was reading the model number off of the box that it came in. It shows it as SM-T530NYKAXAR.
I appreciate you pointing out my stupidity. LOL. I should have known better to check in settings.
Thanks again,
Ace

Hello XDA-developers,
After I rooted my S6 Edge+ G928F, I cant watch Netflix anymore.
I know that its because of root and everybody says delete Liboemcrypto.so file in system map but I dont have that file so what can I do?
Greetz,
Mirakuru!
What rom are you on?
What root method did you use?
I ask because I have not had problems with Netflix after rooting.
Are you using a VPN to get Netflix from another country? Cos Netflix has stopped VPN's from many providers.

I am on stock rom S6 Edge+ G928F 6.0.1
I used autoroot CF auto root.
I dont use VPN.
Hmm have you tried clearing the cache?
I know there were problems on older devices with Netflix and it needed a fix to be flashed in recovery.
What recovery are you using? Stock/TWRP/philz?

Stock is that a problem?
It looks like it's actually a common problem. I found this for you
https://m.reddit.com/r/samsunggalaxys6/comments/3nyykh/netflix_not_working_on_rooted_s6/
Someone there had the same problem on the s6 edge plus and changed the phone "ro.product.model" to 925K and got it working. Give that a try. Instructions are in the forum.

Ah good point. I'm not sure. I don't think it matters, but back up first just in case.
I change that and nothing happens, neither good or bad... I need another solution... ?
Hey guys.
I'm experiencing lot of bugs on my Galaxy S7 edge dual sim.
Some applications does not work, for example S Health, Samsung Pay.
I'm also experiencing problems, wherr I can't use SIM 2 for Mobile data. After setting it up, mobile data sometimes doesn't work.
Also few functions on side panel does not work properly.
Check screenshot in attachments, there are software informations.
Do I have official ROM ?
Or what can be problem? Is TouchWiz (or Samsung experience) so unstable? Or is it just my unique case?
Thanks for any help.
Download the app Phone Info and post some screens here..

With my old S5 I did.
I bought this S7 edge from second hand, so I don't know what he did with the phone. He didn't tell me anything about installing custom ROM or something.
What should I do now?

Thank you. So all I have to do is install the newest firmware via odin, right ?:fingers-crossed:
/And one more question. Model SM-G935FD does not have Firmware for my country. I know it is designed for Southeast Asia and India, but .. May it cause any problems for me ? Like worse GPS locking or something. I dont think so, just want to make sure
The rom you have on the phone is for the G935F or Not G935FD version.
try installing an dual rom version instead of single rom version that may solve your problem. The G935F version will work but some apps may not work properly.
So I checked everything (BL,AP,CP,CSC) but UMS and started instalation.
/everything looks good, but I will let you know later after some using

That isn´t true my friend. I had ROM for my dual sim version (G935FD), but it was marshmallow ROM. I don´t know how it´s possible, when It was showing Android 7.0. in software informations.

This is the only one that I know of that will root the Nougat version of the S7 Edge. It is a very long thread, and there is a lot of information that can help. I know it works as I tried it on my G935U at one time.

Excellent! I wanted some confirmation from someone with the same phone (unlocked AT&T on N.)
Have you remained rooted since? I'm hearing mixed reports about performance and things stop working.) My primary concern though is our locked bootloaders. If we make changes that cause problems can we undo it? Like flashing the stock firmware? Thanks

Yes, I have remained rooted, but I ended up going back to stock G935A and then rooting again with that procedure. Personally, I was not getting the performance I was used to with the G935U as I was with the G935A with the root procedure.
Yes, there are some things that do not work with these eng.imgs that are being used to root the phones. There is NO Xposed for this one, Samsung Pay does not work, but I have been using Android Pay and it works just fine. As for the Bootloader, it is still LOCKED. There has not been any Unlocked bootloaders for the G935 or G930 so far and I don't think we will see it anytime soon.
As for Undoing, yes. There is a very simple way to go back to stock with Odin. In fact, about once a month, I return to stock just so I can get the latest security patch and then re-root my phone back to this way. I know it is somewhat of a pain, but with Titanium Back up I can get my phone back to running normally in a couple of hours.
Hope this helps...
It's not quite as fast, but if you are backing up and restoring to the same device, you can just use ADB. I still have a TiBu license, and use it on my Tab S2, but I have largely adapted to not having root on my S7 by taking advantage of basic ADB features.

Great info. Thanks!
One followup--when you say Xposed doesn't work, do you mean you tried the newest Nougat version that just got released? Or it never worked, not even on M?

What I meant was Xposed doesn't work on the current version of root using the eng.img. I have not tried using the NEW Xposed that is in THIS thread. I have looked at it but have not had a chance to run the zipped file and installing it. I know it works with MM as I had it working GREAT with MM and the eng.img with that version. I love Xposed and wish that was available for Nougat and N's root. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will be fully implemented soon.

I tried this 4 times and failed. The problem is it just keeps rebooting (about every 45 to 60 seconds) after I flash the eng boot img. Im never able to run adb commands. If I start from a clean slate I can't even make it past the setup screens to enable debugging.
I'm reaching out to you because you succeeded with the same model SM-G935U
So I'm just seeing if you have any insights. My phone should be the same as yours. Only difference is mine came with 7.0 preinstalled. Maybe an earlier firmware? But that doesn't make sense because people are, to my understanding, using the eng boot with recent firmware.
I'll repost in the root thread if I need to but thought I'd see if you have anything to offer. Thanks

I seem to remember the constant rebooting on the U-Firmware also. I too kept trying and it finally took. I think I would take the OTA from the server and try to install the eng.img with Odin. When you do this, does Odin give you any errors? Or does it succeed at the installation?
It has been a few months since I rooted the U-Firmware so not for sure what fixed the rooting process. Sorry I couldn't be more help...

Thanks. No Odin works perfectly whether I flash eng boot or stock.
I looked at the root guide for Sprint and the process is a lot more involved. I believe he boots to recovery twice and wipes cache plus factory reset twice. He also stresses to get the root.bat run quickly to avoid bootloop.
Might be worth a shot but the process of running Odin, getting back to stock and restoring all my data winds up being close to a few hours so It'd be very helpful to find someone with the same issue as me who was able to resolve it.
I've seen some mixed things about this, and would like some confirmation
I've seen some people say they've gotten it on the Tmobile version, but from what I can see, unless I have the Chinese model, I can't get TWRP, maybe they were using the Exynos version on tmobile, but they identified by tmobile
So is it possible to get xposed on snapdragon US unlocked?
