I bought a chinese Huawei Mate 8 NXT-DL00. It is now unlocked, thanks to DC-unlocker:good:
It communicates with adb, and reboots in bootloader. For some reason adb will not flash TWRP 3.0.2.0. (or any other TWRP). Is there a known TWRP for DL00 chinese, or is it the same as AL-10?
is FRP unlocked?
No, FRP is not unlocked now, but I have unlocked in on DC before. After reboot it shows locked message in bootloader.
I see now that you mention it that it's possible to have the FRP stay unlocked. Is that necessary to flash twrp and SU?

In "Developer options", I do not have the "Enable OEM unlock" option. Does that mean my chinese phone does not have FRP?

The Chinese model does not have this option to Enable OEM unlock, and need not, in the Chinese versions google has less activity, which protects and blocks the device are the options of Huawei. In your case, only if you have installed the system in another model, international for example, then yes there would be this option, but it would not work. I did this idiocy, and I was blocked FRP, only the DC unlocker could release the lock. Anyway, it is not original firmware of another model, which is the version of your system? If you are in DL00C17B320 or above this, you need to downgrade to EMUI 4.0. In versions above it as the 320 for example, the system does not accept commands via fastboot. Only commands that do NOT change anything. And yes, everything works in AL10, DL00 serves in, you can install without fear ARE the same model, the difference is just the operator.
AL10 = chinese version, unlocked
TL00, DL00, CL00 = chinese versions, locked to chinese carriers

Forgive me for the delay, I only saw it now. I do not think so, does your mistake look like something else, the bootloader, it's unlocked?

Hi all
I searched this, but I question here,
1 - When you unroot , put stock and update an ota, it blocks the bootloader?
2 - and the when unlocked, format all to factory?
3 - In what moment the bootloader is blocked? only when first unlock is done?
Thanks in advance, I have an honor 7 and I Know how it works, but this honor 8 L09?
1. probably
2. u can prevent factory reset if unlocked earlier
3. idk what the question means

Hi. bought an al-10 from china which apparently is flashed. There are a few things not working on phone so apart from trying to get help from seller, i have attempted the flashing myself. i have gone thru a few threads and watched TK vid on flashing twrp and rooting and roni on unlocking bootloader. now, considering the device is flashed i understand the bootloader is still unlocked (in fastboot says phone unlocked). in dev options there is no OEM unlocking option. i cannot get lock state through the code in dialler. when i try to flash twrp, sending recovery OKAY, writing recovery FAILED <remote: command not allowed> so cannot really get to rooting stage
Thank you for the time.

Thank you.
Hi all
I'm stuck installing TWRP. I found several posts about it, but I'm not sure if they will be working for my version. I have a A2017G on B06. So:
I tried backing up stock boot and recovery with axon7backup, but the files are way bigger and (of course) have a different MD5sum as the ones found in the stock update of B06 ZTE Germany provides. Is "axon7backup" supported for A2017G B06? If so, can you provide me a link of "axon7root" or is the one for A2017G B03 working?
Can I use twrp-3.0.2-2-a2017u.img for A2017G?
If found somewhere "oem unlock" or "flashing unlock" should work in fastboot made. Fastboot finds the device, but both commands result in "FAILED (remote: unknown command)". OEM unlock is enabled in development settings. So I guess this doesn't work for A2017G B06, but I can't seem to find what is.
Sorry for the newbie questions. Hope anyway is willing to help me out. Thnx!
If I am not mistaken, only the US model has the opportunity to get the bootloader unlocked, but don't quote me on that. With the US models, you have to submit an unlock request in order to even try to unlock the booloader.
Hello Guys,
I am trying to relock the bootloader of MiA1 but if I type command- "fastboot oem unlock" then my mobile cause stuck on bootloop. The same thing also happens with AIO Tool.
So please help me if anyone knows how to relock bootloader again? And also let me know whether unlocking bootloader affect warranty or not?
I know one method to lock bootloader that is, you can install stock ROM by mi flash tool but I need to install magisk and that require to unlock bootloader and if I unlocked once then unable to relock again.
The command in fastboot is fastboot oem lock
Have you done some modifications to the stock boot.img file, such as using magisk or something else?

Not sure if I understood correctly, but it seems that you want to have Magisk + TWRP + locked bootloader. That is simply not possible. For locked bootloader you must have stock ROM (no root, in fact absolutely no modification).

Bootloader lock is like a door.
If its open you can put nice things like magisk, root, modification like custom rom and kernel.
Now if you try to relock it it won't lock until and unless you take all the modifications out.
Hope this helps.
If you need technical information just let me know
flash stock boot.img and then probably you will be able to lock bootloader. I have done the same way.

With Nougat i flashed stock image selecting "save user data" and i had bootloader relocked without losing data. Root and twrp were gone. I don't know if it is so with Oreo.
So you need TWRP and Magisk root but want a locked bootloader? That just isn't a possible combination.
To install TWRP, you need unlocked bootloader.
If you need root and TWRP, you need to leave the bootloader unlocked.
You can't have both worlds bro. If you unlock and install Magisk and other stuff, you simply can't relock bootloader. That's why you get bootloop

Some people might say yes some might say no.
It depends on manufacturer.
OEMs don't explicitly say that it won't void your warranty.
So its grey area.
I am going to email Xiaomi about this and update this thread when i get reply.
Had various experiences with unlocked bootloader. So better to follow safe path.
Edit: Called xiaomi helpline two times.
1st said it will void warranty
2nd said it won't.
Emailed them.
I chatted with a support representative and they said that unlocking bootloader won't void the warranty

That's just what he said it to you. I got two responses.
Support representatives aren't authorised to send you sms or mail.
If there's an issue with your device (Unlocked BL) and you took it to service center. They might say out of warranty due to bootloader unlocking and what would be your reply to that?
Support representatives said it won't void warranty.
You can't back it up with anything since you dont have any proof of that conversation.
So unless it is written somewhere by xiaomi. Words are just words.
Is it possible to unlock the bootloader, root, make some minor modifications (activation of camera api, copying fm radio apk to system folder, etc), unroot, and finally relock (flashing stock boot.img before, of course) ?
I want to have it unrooted because of bank payments, banks apps and streaming TV apps, but I would like to have proper camera and fm radio... Is it possible??

Short answer:no.
Long answer: locked bootloader must have stock system and boot partition. Stock boot image will boot only unmodified system partition. However you can have bank and streaming apps with Magisk - use systemless modifications and magisk hide feature.

Hi, I have Asia-Pacific version of the Huawei Mediapad M3 (BTV-W09C209B005). I'm trying to flash TWRP to gain root access, but I'm encountering problems in the preliminary stage. I've searched for similar problems in the forum, but couldn't find a solution that works for me.
So here are the steps I've done:
1. I received the official bootloader code from Huawei.
2. I used ADB and Fastboot to unlock the bootloader, but I noticed something peculiar: the screen says
Phone UNLOCKED
FRP UNLOCKED
I am the first owner of the tablet, so I was surprised to see that it was already unlocked. In any case, I tried the fastboot oem unlock command, and it returned this error:
FAILED (remote: password wrong)
3. I tried to proceed to TWRP flash on the assumption that the phone was already unlocked. But I get this error:
sending 'recovery' (23794 KB)....
OKAY [ 0.740s]
writing 'recovery'...
FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)
finished, total time: 0.740s
4. I tried relocking the bootloader, as per several XDA threads, before unlocking again. But I once again encounter an error:
FAILED (remote: stat not match)
I already contacted Huawei to make sure that the unlock code they sent me was correct, but I doubt that it'd be wrong because they probably just paste it after generating it in the system.
Any ideas how to proceed?
Interesting, first off if you want to check and see if you phone is BL is unlocked go to Settings, Developer Options and see if your OEM unlocking is grayed or doesn't move..if it doesn't move or grayed out then it's unlocked.. if it moves the it not unlocked.. check that your fastboot /adb are set up correctly. Though the easiest way to this ( unlocking the BL and flashng TWRP) would be to get Huawei Multi-Tool v8 by Team MT and use it,, ( grab the one in the Honor 8, as I know it does work) and make sure you ave the correct TWRP for your tablet..

Thanks for pointing me the Huawei multi-tool. So I tried that, and as suspected, the device is still locked. I am able to toggle the OEM unlocking and the tool says so through the lock status (oem lock-state info LOCKED). I proceeded unlocking with the tool, but I received the same error: FAILED (remote: password wrong)
The unlock code doesn't seem to be the problem because the tool displayed the corresponding serial number and it was a match. So there's something preventing me from unlocking the bootloader--it's probably the same reason why the fastboot says "PHONE Unlocked" even though it actually isn't. Again, I can't do the relock trick because the device wouldn't accept the Huwei unlock code.
Thoughts?
Hmm, why do some of these seem to be so picky when it comes to unlocking.. The multi too will copy what ever code you but in, sorry for the questions just trying to help narrow it down.. in the developer section there are 3 things that need to be ticked,, OEM unlocking, USB debugging and and allow ADB debugging in charge only mode.. Maybe you software got out of wack.. read here ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/mediapad-m3/help/bricked-mediapad-m3-t3746893) as it may help.. Not sure if HiSuite can restore it.
OEM unlocking and USB debugging are "working" in the sense that I can send commands from the PC via USB. It's just that I can't properly unlock the phone. I updated the drivers to see if that's the problem, but I still encounter the same error. I basically couldn't move forward with the link you sent because the first step was to unlock the device and I couldn't get past that. When I try to unlock the error is still 'FAILED (remote: password wrong)'.
I've seen some threads from other Huawei devices that suggest rolling back the firmware, but this is the first time I'm trying to root this device. And it's still on Marshmallow, which is the version that came with the first release of the Mediapad M3, so basically there's nothing to roll back to.
Why not upgrade to 7 as that is where most of the newer threads are written for plus it will redo your boot loader... giving you a clean slate to work with..and that might be your issue..
I can't update to 7 because Huawei stopped providing updates for my region. I failed to mention that the reason why I'm trying to unlock the device is to change the region and upgrade to 7.
May I ask where you are?
From Southeast Asia, but the tablet was imported from China. I planned to convert it to the European version so I can at least upgrade to Nougat. I'm still stuck though.
So Huawei sent me a new unlock key and it works! Problem solved!

I have Lineage OS 14.1 on my phone and need to use Duo Mobile for 2 factor authentication. In spite of the fact that I have "unrooted" the system is still detecting that I a have tampered with my device. I will assume it's because the bootloader is unlocked.
I really, really don't want to wipe the phone and reconfigure all my apps (yes, it's easier than it used to be). Getting into fastboot and doing the fast relock commands is pretty clear to me, but how to get my device back to exactly where it is, but just with the bootloader locked?
Not possible.

To relock the bootloader you will need fastboot. None of the newer stock firmwares have fastboot asides from Chinese B19. You will need to EDL Flash B19 and use the Axon 7 Tool to relock the bootloader. After that, you can flash any Axon 7 firmware you'd like. Any A7 firmware works on any A7 model.
Make sure to replace the NONHLOS.bin in the files of the EDL package with the NONHLOS.bin from the Chinese firmware. This file is the modem, and so if you live in China, you will need to replace the US/EU modem file inside the package with the Chinese one.
It won't brick your phone, but it's not possible to relock the bootloader without wiping. I'd suggest a backup app such as Titanium Backup or something else (not too sure about non-root backup apps).

Thanks for replying. So I flashed the A2017_B15_FULL_EDL Android: 6.0.1 onto my a2017 axon 7. I replaced the NONHLOS.bin (modem) in the edl file with the Chinese modem which I took from A2017_B15_FULL_EDL Android: 6.0.1. I'm able to get network signal and works as expected.
I can't seem to lock the bootloader. Fastboot works on this firmware but the fastboot oem lock command does nothing, I keep getting failed.
Are you suggesting I flash stock firmware, one that has fastboot commands working, designed for a2017, lock the bootloader and then using a tool like djkuz Axon 7 EDL Tool flash a2017g firmware.
The reason why I need a2017g firmware is I'm tryna sell my axon at CEX and they won't accept it cos it has Chinese software. If it has European firmware with locked bootloader it'll pass their software check.
