In Samsung world, you can obtain drivers for devices without installing Kies.
Can we do the same in Huawei's world without HiSuite?

Hi guys.
About a month ago I realized that my device's usb port has a problem, PC shows this error "Usb device not recognized: The last usb device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and windows does not recognized it" when I connect my tablet via USB cable.
Anyway, it can not be repaired easily at the moment.
The stock rom is too laggy and i want to install Lineage OS 14 on it, but:
1. I haven't root access on my tablet
2. I haven't installed any custom recoveries yet
3. There is no way to connect my tablet to PC via USB
So i can't root my device with the following methods:
1. Flashing supersu.zip
2. Installing root app on the pc and root my device via usb
3. ADB and fastboot
Also apps like Kingroot that install on android devices does not supports devices running android 6.0.1.
I'm so confused, is there any other way to install custom recovery on my device with these conditions?
Can I flash supersu.zip with stock rom or with an app?
Can I rollback to lollipop and root device with kongroot? I also downloaded the firmware from asus official website.
Can I fastboot over bluetooth or wifi or any other wireless connections?
Please help me, it's so important to me!

Hello,
I have a problem with my Huawei P9 Lite. Build number is: VNS-L31C900B161
Whenever I try to flash twrp using adb I get the message
"writing 'recovery'...
FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)"
My bootloader is unlocked and I just flashed a new firmware. My main goal to to switch to yet another firmware since the one I'm on right now doesn't allow me to open the Play store.
I want to switch to C432 in order to be able to update through the stock recovery (C900 firmwares are nowhere to be found) and I read in another thread that I need to flash oem info using TWRP. If anyone knows another way I'd appreciate some directions.
Oem unlock aswell as USB debugging are enabled.
I'd greatly appreciate any help.
Hello! I have a very similar problem with my P8. Unfortunately so far no one has ever been able to help me. Previously I had 2x Huawei P8 and one P9.I modified all the different methods. I've had some time to learn but this case is beyond my skill.
In my case also the bootloader - unlocked (all known methods for verifying bootloader status show that it is unlocked). Because my phone is connected to a computer running Windows 10 64b tried the methods without the driver signatures (quieter I do not think that is the problem in this because other P8 unlocked on the same computer, the same ADB drivers etc ...) I've tried adb over wifi and even these dubious methods without using a PC. Nothing. The only response: "Command not allowed ". Maybe I will add that dedicated tools type SRK Tools , HWMultitool, WinDroid ToolKit They perform a normal TWRP boot procedure and show that the procedure was successful (!!!) .... and nothing. Black magic. So far in 3 different sites they could not explain it to me.Finally, I will add that this particular P8 is a copy that I got under warranty (previous P8 unfortunately fell but honestly gave me a whole new ... But without any box, Without anything, the phone itself ... Any such blockade made in Huawei?

I'm new to the rooting and flashing scene, and i decided to root my lg g6 to remove all the bloatware and stuff, but when i need the device id to put it on the lg development site i cant get it since the cmd window doesnt recognize my phone in fastboot and keeps returning the waiting for device message, i already updated all the drivers and reinstalled android studio and sdk tools, and still have that message, any help would be appreciated !
Drivers are not installed correctly. Uninstall current ones and use the all in one ADB and fastboot install drivers.

I suspect the flashtool ones are correct and up to date but just not installed correctly.
You must ensure they installed correctly especially on Windows 10 as in this video.
Individualised Sony Drivers are available here https://developer.sony.com/develop/drivers/
Be sure to Choose a MediaTek based device like the Sony Xperia XA/XA1 for example from the list if the L1 is not listed.
Most of the MediaTek ones appear to be 8.31MB in size and the latest was the XA1 Ultra December 2017.
The Fastboot driver is also listed if your having problems with that also.
I've been trying to unlock my Huawei P8 (not the lite version), so I could install a different ROM. So far I've spent 3 days, without success. Things I've tried:
Performed a factory reset
Downloaded platform-tools
Got ADB working
Verify that it doesn't work yet
Installed the latest Google ADB driver
Permanently allowed my PC to debug over USB
See my phone appear when doing adb devices -l
Got fastboot working
Verify it doesn't work yet
Installed the Android Bootloader driver recommended by DroidWin
See my phone appear when doing fastboot devices -l
Attempted installing TWRP
Downloaded TWRP image
Attempt flashing recovery with the TWRP image through fastboot
Get "permission denied" error because my phone is still locked
Attempted using DC-Unlocker
Downloaded DC-Unlocker
Set the USB mode on my phone to "Manufacturer" as instructed
Let DC-Unlocker auto-detect my phone
DC-Unlocker crashes, potentially because there's no virtual COM-ports on my machine
Attempted to install virtual COM-ports
Installed Huawei Hisuite 11 in order to have it install the drivers, but no drivers were installed and it wouldn't connect to my phone
Installed Huawei Hisuite 5 in order to have it install the drivers, but no drivers were installed even though it connected to my phone
Attempted to manually create the COM-ports as attempted by someone in the DC-Unlocker forums, without success
Attempted following the guide in this post
Tried the Kingroot APK, which failed to root my device
Tried the Kingroot PC software, which failed to root my device
Tried the Kingo Root APK, which failed to root my device
Tried the Kingo Root PC software, which failed to root my device
In summary, I haven't been able to root my phone, potentially because the build is too new. Anything else I can try? Anything I missed? All suggestions welcome.
