So how does one attempt to flash something to the turbo? I see people saying it will brick the phone - is this an automatic assumption that its possible to fully flash a firmware to the droid turbo (brick or not)

its not an automatic assumption. However, i gotta admit, id be tempted to flash xt1250, not xt1225, on my turbo. im trying to make things easier, though. #unlockthedroids
Hey guys,
So I didn't actually know that Motorola had unlocked this version of Moto X 1st Gen. I'm happy. I think I will be installing some custom ROMs.

You mean they allow unlocking on their website for non-dev versions? I'm on xt1060 and just tried to unlock to no avail.

Yes. I'm on xt 1052 and I thought I'd give it a try and it gave me an unlock code. Non Dev version.

You luckily have an unlocked bootloader too.
Question... I just got my turbo 2 today and logged in, set it to see developers options in it, and it has the option to disable locked bootloader... Does this truly not disable it?

Nope, as discussed in other threads, that's in the OS for the Nexus devices and doesn't apply to ours.

I have the moto G4 play from Verizon. Fully updated. I was wandering if there is away to unlock the bootloader without using a pc as I do not have one.
