Hi
I have a rooted galaxy 3 gt-i5801. I am using the latest ROM XWJPF the european version. I used font changer and it worked perfectly. BUt i accidentally changed the screen density to 140 where my default was 120. I managed to change it back to 120 by the app lcd density lite. But everytime switch off my phone its changes to 140. Is there a way to restore the default settings. Except for flashing i know that flashing would wokr just perfect.

Once u change it back to normal, change it to 120 using font changer only
That should solve your problem

i suggest...change to 120 and den uninstall font changer and see...
If you have rooted G3, open /system/build.prop and change lcddensity to 120 and save the file.

Sent from my GT-I5800 using XDA App
Well, everybody now if you change the dpi of our G3s.. the Quick circle Features come to be nonaligned..
i will share you the method that it works for me..!
Your phone must to be Rooted!
ok.. Follow the following Steps:
1. Get Rooted
2. Install some Dpi changer, i use "texdroider_dpi" ---> change the Value to 560 dpi! ""i like this setting"
3. Install Xposed Framework
4. Download ""App Setting"" from Xposed And Activate it
5. Enter into the app setting and search for ""com.lge.clock" --> click on this, Swipe to on --> and Change to 640Dpi & check the box "Apply res to Widgets" ---> Click on SAVE!
6. In the same app, search for another app like "com.android.keyguard"" --> click on this, Swipe to on --> and Change to 640Dpi & check the box "Apply res to Widgets" ---> Click on SAVE!
7. Reboot the Phone to apply the changes!
And voila, you must to get fixed the Quick Circle Feature.!
Enjoy it..!
if you like this Post dont forget to say thanks you.. :good:
Note: This information i already found reading a lot of post.. on website! i just organize everything to easy way to do it!
Its working!!!
Sorry i voted for not working. (Forget to tick "apply res to widgets")
But is not working for smart notice
I got my phone yesterday and also thought the default DPI was too 'large' I changed mine to 550 using the same app and it seems perfect . I'm running paranoid for the d850 incredibly smooth ROM no issues
A solution for Android 5.0 without Xposed ? thanks
doesn't work for me. rooted stock with DPI changed to 560
Guys just don't forget to check the box "Apply res to Widgets" when changing dpi!
Thank you it really works!

just do the same to com.lge.concierge and com.lge.camera to fix camera ui.
and do it for com.yoavst.quickapps , i didn't tested it on lower dpi
So guys, I finally managed to get fix for quick toggles bar and notification bar after changing DPI .
changing DPI will make notification bar and quick settings toggle bar look weird , distorted and not usable .
below is the screen shot which explains what i meant !
Now i am still not able to solve the shutdown pull down menu , but rest all works . ( anyway i use advanced reboot options app for these , as stock doesn't provide ).
Instructions :
1. Firstly u need root and xposed
2. download EASY DPI changer app
3. change DPI to whatever u want and reboot
4. now go to xposed
5. download app settings module
6. enable the module and reboot
7. open app settings
8. search for System UI
9. enable its settings
10. now add 480 DPI value instead of 0 in first column
11. save its settings
12. reboot
DONE !!
Now u can make per app basis DPI change , so customize as per your preference. changing DPI makes app icons smaller and makes H2 OS launcher apps misaligned .then if you try to change H2 OS launcher DPI , it makes system apps look normal but not downloaded apps, SO i recommend any third party launcher like Nova.
BUT MOST IMPORTANT THING : BOTH NOTIFICATION AND QUICK TOGGLE BAR WORK FLAWLESSLY .
Special Thanks @RajGopi ( xposed module Idea )
you can change your DPI by just deleting the # before lcd_density row
p.s. just read the post again and understand what you mean, good job.

BTW, big thanks @kunalshah912. The DPI problem for me in H2OS is finally solved. ?
Hi guys, my first post on the forum here.
I do some research about changing resolution on my device Asus Zenfone Max Z010D S410 running on Stock Rom but all of them didnt work, so I want to ask you guys about some method to change screen resolution to lower. How to to it?
I think lower screen resolution can give some better performance thanks for reading.
Most screen resolution apps in the playstore require root, as well as all known methods of doing so. Custom roms like Lineage OS, Resurrection Remix, etc. have the option to change screen density in the display settings. If you are rooted, the easiest way is to go to the system folder in root, edit the text in build.prop using root explorer, then edit or add this line anywhere in the text: "ro.sf.lcd_density=320" 320 is the default dpi for the zenfone max. Decrease the value to make the screen items smaller. Increments of 10 are suggested. Make sure to do a TWRP backup first so that you can revert to your previous configuration in case something goes wrong.

Guys as we all know when we root our eui we get stuck with zoom sheeting on every app.
But I have found out a fix.
First things first tools required:
1:terminal emulator
2:build prop editor / root file manager
Fix:
Go ahead and open terminal emulator.
Enter the following code
Su
And click enter
wm density ###
### us where you input the amount of DPI you want 420 is normal DPI
-1st part done!
Now open build prop editor
Next Look for "ro.sf.lcd_density=###"
Change ### to previous value which you have set in terminal emulator.
Reboot!
Done!
Now you may think I might have done this in some DPI app but it will make more problems than solving it . believe me!
Special thanks my friend: snehashish
For providing me the fix
Hit thanks if you like my work!
Cheers:highfive:
Guys you can also use this to properly change DPI in eui and miui pro without font or clock glitches.:good:

The first part works. The second part does not: there is no ro.sf.lcd_density setting in the build.prop. And the settings app still reports the display as zoomed.

You wil fund the line ro.sf.lcd_density in all ROM except eUI, in eUI you can search for persist.ro.sf.lcd_density
Or similar to this one but that line start with persist
after doing this trick in miui pro rom i am continuously getting an error that system stopped

You must have messed somewhere
I tried the fix and didnt get any errors, but it still randomly switches from zoom mode to normal when opening apps. I really only notice it in gmail and chrome.
Guess changing the DPI has resulted in zoomed in pictures when cropping, cropping happens right as the markers indicate but the crop preview is zoomed in which makes it impossible to edit pictures. Is there a solution/hack for this?
