Solved: What to check if your unlocked bootloader became "permanently locked" again.
Hi,
My bootloader was suddenly locked again after
I had an unlocked single sim 6553, running E6533_32.1.A.1.185_R5C
The phone had survived several reboots and behaved well as a rooted phone.
As the phone was intended for my wife, I then did a factory reset and followed the wizard to copy her settings from her old phone and set it up,
I wanted to try out a battery saving app "2 Battery" with root access, but found that super-su wasn't there any more (assumed removed during factory reset).
Powered off phone at 30% battery intending to reboot into TWRP.
Phone would only boot into flash mode. I tried all possible button combinations and also tried fully charging. Phone was completely stuck.
As flash mode was allowed, I used FlashTool to re-flash all of E6533_32.1.A.1.185_R5C, using same image as before
Tried reflashing the patched kernel (as above) using fastboot, but got
"downloading 'boot.img'...
OKAY [ 0.523s]
booting...
FAILED (status read failed (No such device))"
Looking at the service menu security setting screen, I saw that the BL remote status was "Locked" with Allow unlock = "No"
I tried loading different roms, without wiping, all with same result and was about to wipe the phone...
Then I read in a BL unlock thread that you can't unlock the BL if "Find My Xperia" is ON!
So I turned it OFF and Hey Presto!
Status is now unlocked again!
If anyone else has similar problems, I advise to check this setting first. I could save you a lot of time and trouble!!
Only with "bootloader unlock allowed" before, mine is "allow : no" and still no even deactive my xperia... , can't root

Try switching find my xperia off
ive ran into a big problem. i had my OP2 rooted and loaded with CM12. Recently i wanted to revert back to stock to receive all the updates for the phone and in the process of reversing everything, i've managed to lose everything as i was expecting when i was initially going to. Now the bootloader will not unlock with using "fastboot oem unlock". The phone restarts out of fastboot to the 1+ logo then black screen or just sits in a constant boot loop.
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
It's sad no one answered your post u know I'm going thru the same problem
Done everything like enable OEM unlock and USB Debugging in developer settings?
I was on android device manager and i clicked the button that said "enable lock and erase". After about a second, the buttons were enabled. Now, when i go into developer settings on the phone, OEM unlocking is turned off. Should I worry? I am running Pure Nexus (0802 build). The phone is still on and fully functional, and I have not rebooted it since. I have tried multiple times to re-enable oem unlocking in developer settings, it asks for my pin and after i put it in it stays off. Maybe my custom rom doesn't even have the code in it to mess with anything like that because it knows it is running on an unlocked bootloader? I went into google settings on the phone and unchecked the box that says enable erase and lock and now i am back to not being able to do it in android device manager.
That has nothing to do with it... with your bootloader unlocked that setting is disabled, that's normal. If you bootloader is unlocked, why would you need to enable "OEM Unlocking", it has no function now.
So.
P9 Lite VNS-L23
FRP and Phone shows as locked on the bootloader screen.
Three button recovery doesn't work, just vibrates twice and then shows the huawei logo and sticks there.
Bootloader is locked and oem unlocking wasn't enabled prior to the attempted update which led to the brick in the first place.
I have all the necessary unlock codes and information but i can't get this phone to boot for anything.
Battery shows up as 1% and the led flashes three times before cutting off when unplugged but runs when connected to an outlet
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Can you/did you retry unlocking bootloader again (fastboot or via SRKtool - easy way)? Or relock and then unlock again?
Then you could fastboot boot <recovery_twrp.img> and install stock ROM after that.

I did try but developer options was never enabled and oem unlocking wasn't either so no fastboot commands will go through hence the predicament i'm in right now
Please can someone help me, it's weird because in the Developer Menu, I still have the OEM unlock and I can turn it on and off, but I can't do the TWRP flash. .
