I'm new to getting root on Android so I don't know all the lingo. What I know is that I installed the XInstaller module in attempts to install MIcoG Core. Not sure which one ****ed me here, but the description did say new support for 6.0 and i'm on 6.0.1, so it was probably XInstaller. I do have Liveboot from Chainfire so all I see is yellow text scrolling, but every once in a while there's white and red (if that helps at all). Thank for any help in advance.
Fixed it with another tutorial then just deleted modules.list.

I have looked everywhere for an answer to this and haven't been able to find anything. I want to be able to run linux ontop of android 7.0 on my rooted nexus 6p but all methods that i know of require loop device support. I downloaded an app from the play store called loop device checker to check if it was possible and it says that my device does not support loop. I am running the latest EX Kernel. I tried it on the stock and franco kernel as well with no luck. Does anyone know anything about this? One thing i was hoping i could do is edit the EX kernel to add loop support but i dont have any idea how i would go about doing this. If anyone knows of a way to edit the kernel to add this and could give me steps that would be really helpful.
Hi everyone, let's make it clear, i'm not english nor is english my native language so pardon me for my mistakes.
I'd like to get your help on installing xposed on my samsung galaxy s5 neo which is rooted with auto root chainfire. Everything works great with the root.
But the problem is that i want to install the xposed framework. I installed the xposed installer but they told me that don't have the framework installed, so i downloaded every xposed framework for my architecture which is "arm" and thanks to twrp recovery I can flash those (.zip) that look like that "xposed-v87-sdk23-arm.zip " (sdk23)"xposed-v76-sdk23-arm.zip "(sdk23) ect... but when I flash one and reboot my phone it just bootloop but not on the samsung logo, my screen actually turned black and the light on the top left started switching from cyan to dark blue. I thought that it was just rebooting but i waited at least 20 minutes but nothing happened so i uninstalled the framework with "xposed-uninstaller-20150831-arm.zip ".
And could reaccess my phone and it was booting normally. But i can't get any xposed framework to work ! Each time, even with different version (like v87,v76,v83 ect..) (sdk23) i always get that black screening with the light changing color as if it was loading or something when i reboot the phone. So if you guys have any way to fix it I would be very thankful.
Feel free to ask me questions if you need some more details!
Short: Don’t install Gapps using aroma installer your device will be bricked.
Long:
Whatever written here is 100% IMO,i am very long android user from Gb-kitkat then ios 9-11 then Now android oreo
All along i left android on kitkat, was using ios till now, so when i planned to use android i saw so many changes in android which was too good & very good android phones avail at Low price...
But later things got sketchy from then,i started realising how android was then & now
Then
Boaltware always have bunch of crap apps
Now
Boaltware always have bunch of crap apps+to manny google apps just too many
Then
Rooting can be easily perfromed, without unlocking bootloader
Now
Rooting Must be done by unlocking bootloader, especially budget device have less devs & support on rooting
Then
Apps devs wont much care about rooted devices
Now
Some app devs block using their app if its rooted
Then
Installing tweak\ports is not so easy,Twrp flash zip if you get error you are f***ed up with boot loop
Now
Installing tweak\ports is so easy and removing also soo easy
Here what happend to my device
-Unlocked bootloader via offical method....i was unaware of unoffical method which is soo dumb
-installed Twrp
-custom rom
-root
Everything was working perfectly fine
But later found if we need google features to work correctly we need open gapps
Gave try on lite everything was fine
Then found gapps aroma installer has more custom option
So gave a try
Twrp
Reflash custom rom
Aroma Gapps installer
After selecting desired google apps left all other option untouched, clicked on install device display blinked twice
From then never got a display

Tried every method no luck, later took service center & fixed it,which was time consuming almost two days went fr fixing
I have no clue what happed to device by just using a gapps aroma installer

Hello there!
I recently came out on a post about Dual Boot your android device.
This seems really handy to me so i was willing to try it.
I rooted my S7 Edge, i have Magisk installed and the Dual Boot Patcher.
I tried tons of roms like: DOTOS, RR, LineageOS, Ice Projects and so on.
Everytime when i try to flash the zip i patched it gives me an error.
But every time another error.
For example with Dot.OS i got:
Failed to copy /raw/data/,system.img.tmp to /raw/system/multiboot/dual/system
But when i try for example LineageOS the app just stops working.
Also i tried some other roms which gave an error about the system check. If my device was compatbale with the ROM.
I saw alot of issues about that online so i tried all those fixes but nothing seems to help.
I tried to delete the Asserts line from the updater-script. How ever only 1 rom i downloaded got these lines in the file.
I am really stuck and have no idea what to do now.
Is this because of my phone? Do i need to install another APP or anything to fix this issue?
I really wanna install this Dual Boot. And i saw many people successfully flashing on S7 Edge. So its pretty strange it doesnt work for me...
If there is some one with a solution or maybe someone that wanna take a look with me to fix my issue woukd be highly apprecieted!
Also i dont mind to pay a few bucks to a dev or anyone with more knowledge to take a look and try to fix this issue with me if no one else can!
Thank you in advance! Please let me know if you need more information about these issues and please tell me which info.
As i had no idea what to all post here to make it easier to locate the issue.
Thank you all!
Hi guys, hope someone will be able to help with this.
I have been trying to downgrade the andoid version to 7.1.1 so that I can install nethunter. The downgrade works fine and I am able to boot into 7.1.1, set up developer mode and enable usb debugging, but everytime I reboot the phone it gets stuck on the boot logo. Strangely when I carry out system updates to update to 8.0 the system works fine and I can restart over and over again without any problem
Hope someone has had the same problem and found a solution for this.

Did you look over at the nethunter thread and tried the very detailed description of a working Nethunter setup and look up the necessary files you need at the end are a couple.

If the issue persists can I take look at the log..

PS
It is even more convenient with the revisit kernel by re4son, which you can use with LineageOS, if you want..
