[Issue] Samsung Galaxy j500FN multiple problems - Samsung Galaxy J5 Questions & Answers

Hi everybody!
This forum is my last try to repair my Samsung Galaxy J5-J500FN
I will try to explain all the issues, but my english is not perfect, sorry
I have reseted my phone yesterday using the Volume/Menu/Power buttons like we can see in the Internet. Everything was going right, except the fact that Google asked me for an email address during the new installation. I lost this email so i tried to bypass it using an OTG USB as we can see on YouTube videos.
At this moment, I just broke the phone, because now there are several issues that even a full hard reset can't fix.
My Samsung J5:
overheats (a lot, i promise)
don't charge anymore (there is the thunder in the battery icon, but it doesn't charge anymore)
[Edit] : Thuder don't appear when phone is off, it just appears when phone is on, in the miniicon.
when charge cable is plugged, touchscreen doesn't work
when charge cable is plugged, a little light appears in the flash light (not full light, but something like a very little light)
the phone is ultra-slow
battery is going very low fast (something like 50 > 0 in a few minutes)
I'm sure it's a software problem, because all my hardware is clean. I tried the battery in my other J5 and i've got no problem.
I've already tried to reset again, but no difference.
It's like i put a malware/virus in my phone using my OTG/USB wire and i can't remove it by a simple hard/reset or cache reset.
And i can't access to Settings, because my phone is blocked during reinstall
I don't have any root access (can't install TWRP or other (FRP lock))
If you have piece of advice or a solution, it wouuld be really great for me, thank you!!
Boulledogue

If you have FRP Lock then its best for you to download latest Samsung Galaxy J5 stock firmware and flash using latest Odin for Windows. You can download the firmware for your device at SamMobile, just google it.
Next time you should unlock OEM in development settings to prevent future problems with FRP.
Hope I Helped

Hello to all! I'm the current developer for Samsung Galaxy J5.
You have framework/kernel/userspace issues my friend!
The reason that your device behaves that way is that you loaded it with too many applications, and you are a very heavy user of a device.
Always flash a fresh ROM from SamMobile if you have such issues and want to keep bloated stock, or switch to CM which is pure Android source.
For heating problems:
Refer to my post in another similar Q&A HERE!
You are free to question anything that I can help you with, and push the thanks button on the right corner if I am helpful. This is helping me to rise up on the community here!

Galaxy S2 refuses to charge and start

Hi folks,
So here's the deal: my Samsung Galaxy S2 suddenly refused to charge and became very hot. I turned it off, took out the battery and it won't accept any new juice.
After I turned it off, it won't even start. So I have a battery that cannot be charged, and a Galaxy S2 that refuses to start. When connected, a battery icon with a triangle is displayed. Any ideas?
Should I try to get a new battery or is there any trick for this? I'd rather not send it away.
Cheers
It's pretty similar to this issue:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1114016
No one knows, huh? That doesn't bode well...
This is identical to my problem. To restart your phone. Take the battery out. Plug the phone in, wait a few seconds then put the battery back in. Imediately, press and hold the power button. The usb charging circuit is damaged. It needs a repair but will probably be replaced. A few of us had this problem.

Thanks for your reply! If that's the case, it's the first phone I've ever had since 1998 that has broken down.
I tried the method of starting it that you suggested, but it didn't work. I guess I have to send it back. Even though it's a great phone in other regards, I won't be buying a Samsung again.
Hm, it suddenly decided to start again for some reason and now I can charge the device while it's turned off. But when I try to charge it when it's turned on, it just becomes super hot and loses power instead of gaining it.
Can it be a software issue? It's really weird, since my SGS2 can be charged while it's turned off but not when booted.
Cheers
Hi there i have the same problem with mine too, do you flash any rom in it or kernel?
I guess its a problem with the kernel or rom you have flashed, mine have the same problem, but you can put it charging in the usb cable in the computer and let it stay there for a whyle, then you have to try to boot it up by using the 3 keys (power+home+vol up) it will boot in recovery mode then you ask it to reeboot and install an updated kernel or reflash the rom, while the device is on, do not put it off, because if you do it you will have the same problem to put it on again, but when its on it charges normally.
I have changed mine for a new one but the problem i am sure it was the things i flashed it. I was using another kernel to install and root the device and again put the original stock kernel in the device to get rid of the yellow triangle, but that came up with that problem. I even dowloaded root explorer in order to reset the battery status bin (you have to be rooted to do this) and reboot the phone but with no avail. The other you have to do this is install CWM MANAGER V1.80 MY KERNEL CF-ROOT 4.0 MY ANDROID VERSION 2.3.3 BASEBAND i9100UHKE2 and now note this the stock kernel was the uhke4 but the kernel i put it it is [email protected]#2 COMPILATION NUMBER: GINGERBREAD.UHKE4
Note: i dont know if it will work for you, i am using a stock rom from samsung. If you do not flash anything its better to return the device or even you have flashed it buy a usb jig and reset the counter and find for the repair, they have to fix that for you.
I hope that have provided you some help.
best regards
Happend to me after installing an over clock thing i uninstalled it and it worked fine
thats what i have said but try to update the kernel and try it mine was uhke4 and now im using xwke7 rooted and worked like a charm all working perfect now, just the problem with the yellow triangle on boot, besides that nothing else even it improved battery life and gps works even better .
hope i have been usefull.
@OP- Go to Service center. Don't waste your time by doing this and that. I am having the same problem, though freak me did some experiment with it. You will get replacement/repaired as it's inside warranty very much.
And don't try any freak method with the new one.
Regards.
Man, better sending your phone to service center before damaging it more.

Have you got the replacement?????????????
Thanks for all the replies. Like I mentioned earlier, I'd rather not send my Galaxy S2 away to a service center, even though there obviously is something wrong with it. I'd be without it for weeks and my S2 is like the Ring for Gollum
I can still charge it now when the device is turned off. But whenever I try to charge it while it's turned on, it just becomes super hot and loses power. I'm starting to think that the battery is damaged, and not the actual device.
Anyway, I just rooted it... Couldn't resist, so I bet I can't even send it for service now without trying to unroot the bugger

so if we take it that anything thats not needed is a waste of time ? like being here ? well, that first line about service center just make me think . Why would the OP post here, because he's not going to a service center..looks like it. it could have been he would though. I just dont like that advice myself. here, they wouldn't do nuttin for me if i brought the phone.
I knew a few that a few years back had phones for repair, they don't replace them, they do some awful repair, and it doesnt work afterwards. second, if after using a phone a whole lot I wouldn't trust them providers with it for weeks . What I mean is for some, its like sending a diary for inspection and approval. Not being VIP nor secret, but ya pwn biznizis ya pwn bizniz.
there must be something to it with the software/firmware, as mentioned a bit below

well, I tried cyanogenmod, and whatever kernel/modem/baseband etc... so! it is like version ki8+ki4+ki3 if that makes any sense . brand new sgs2 gt-i9100 int. version in white. battery ran down to 6%, microUSB thru PC or charger didnt do nuttin, then i turned it off, and looks like its charing. must be a BUG!!
gotta fix that. or get a bigger battery..and then fix that
any1 else having problems with cyanogenmod ? probably im running a wrong kernel, or a wrong 'something'.
does cf-root conflict with rom manager, if so, what to do anyway ? what rom/kernel version should one use with cyanogenmod 7.1.0 RC1 ? how many 'roms' are prone for this no-charge-issue ? time for another rom maybe? cm7rc1 report version 2.3.7
I can also confirm that the phone does get a little warmer during the no-charge-issue. Would want to get one of those colored alu covers, but not sure it would do much better in coming cold winter.
whatever is causing the issue, thats really stupid! what kind of problem to have..put that on the messenger machine 'my phone has gone off to charging at the moment, it'll be back later'.
questions is - what to flash ?
My Samsung Galaxy S stopped responding so had a replacement sent over - Orange replaced it with a S2 - however I struggled with it for hours before ordering a second replacement - charged on first go then wouldn't charge again - so again fiddled about for ages. Eventually took SD card out and now it works fine bloody annoying.
2 phone in 2 weeks the yellow triangle
The first SGS2 I got the second time I went to charge it the Yellow Triangle with the Astrix symbol came up with in 2 weeks the batter was over heating and only holding a charge for 4 hours. I exchanged for a new SGS2 and it has been 3 days the same Yellow Triangle with astrix has come up. I am going to get my money back and use my old phone which is unfortunate cause I really like the SGS2. What is the issue with this? is this really a connection issue?

Take the phone back and get a replacement as it a very good handset.
Samsung Say's
This Yellow Triangle with the exclamation point in it is suppose to show up when the battery is completely dead and only when completely dead until the phone has enough juice to be turned on then it goes away. It should not be related to any other problem with the phone. If you get the yellow triangle when you still have power to the phone then you need to take it in. This will lead to over heating the battery and trust me the phone gets extremely hot. Then you will not be able to charge the phone.
If the battery is hot take it in.
If the Yellow triangle only shows up when the battery in completely dead and then goes away a little after you charge it your phone is fine.
This is what Samsung and it's tech support said to me.

Random Power Off & Boot Loop Galaxy S4 GT-I9505

Hi,
Not sure what is happening to my phone. I have had stock 4.2.2 rooted with CF auto root for months and had no problems. A few weeks ago my phone started to randomly shut down, not properly just complete power off in an instant. It would then start to reboot and get to the Samsung S4 logo screen before powering off again and trying to reboot and then gets stuck in a constant loop. At first I was able to just reinstall CF root with Odin and it would start up OK. I could also get it to start by re-installing Philz recovery.
Now though, that doesn't work so this morning I installed JB 4.3 I9505XXUEMK8-PRE-ROOTED-KNOX-FREE-ODEX-FULL.tar.MD5 and it says that it is rooted and everything seems to be OK but after an hour or so it has started to randomly shut down again. If I attempt to go into recovery (stock) and clear the cache partition it will reboot normally and run for a while until I use an app and do it again. Am I doing something wrong here or is my phone just knackered?

Maybe is coz the RAM is overloaded. Take a look in:
- Press HOME button for 2 secs
- U will see 3 icons in the bottom. Click on the "cheese"
- Tab "RAM"
- If ur phone use more of 1 GB of RAM for run ur apps maybe will be time of delete bloatware
I had the same problem in GT-I9500, I had to get it repaired in a service center.
There was a problem with mother board to charger port connection..
Hope it helps you!

Thanks. Probably not as I've been told that warrantee will be void now as I've flashed whilst having Knox installed which I understand to be irreversable

If u wanna try to recover some RAM u can delete some bloatware that u dont use. Tc with what u delete. I let u some info about if u wanna try -> HERE
I have this problem, I swear it is because of the dodgy battery. (I have the BD battery)
When I plug it in to charge all works again properly.
Last night my battery was showing in the high 60's the phone went off. When I put charger in the battery was at 3%!
Very annoying, going to take to Geek Squad tonight and see if they wil lreplace battery. Guy here at work has same phone, different battery derial number and no problems at all.
Hopefully they will change the battery, I don't have any paperwork with me but the phone is obviously within the 1 year warrenty.

Interesting. I have noticed a couple of times when I look at the battery stats that it has drained from say 90% to 3% in less than 1min, just a verticle line. When I plug it in to charge it says that it's at 90% or whatever it was. Other times it needs charging and is almost dead. It's as though it has shorted out. I wonder if that is the problem here.

Thanks for that. It's quite a list. I'll go through it and remove the ones i think i can do without and see how it goes.
Same Issue
I have the same problem with my I9505
- It shuts down randomly (sometimes you see a few seconds in advance that your connection to the mobile antennas disconnects), when you look at it, in the middle of a phonecall, ... whenever it's nog plugged in to the power of external battery
- It's almost impossible to get it powered on again (gets stuck in a loop of rebooting: most times at the Samsung logo or after it's on for a few seconds), unless you connect your charger that is connected to the powergrid or external battery
- sometimes it resets the phonelanguage to default (so in stead of for example Dutch, everything is in English again)
I just cleared the cache and removed some programs...
Fingers crossed
--> I'll give an update if anything changes

I've tried that as well. Didn't work. The problem you describe is exactly the problem I have. I have ordered another battery but I don't think it's that. I'll let you know if it is. I hadn't noticed that it always boots OK if it is plugged into the mains. Wish I knew what was causing the problems.
Random Shutdown and boot loop
So I think I am finally getting somewhere. I took this screenshot straight after it shut down and got stuck in a boot loop. So I plugged it into the mains and it started OK. The battery just gives up when i stress the device with a hungry app or when booting which causes a heavy drain on the on the power even when its got a healthy charge. Got a new battery on order. Take a look at the screenshot. You can see the battery instantaneously drops to zero charge until it's re-booted on the mains.

in the list I forgot to mention that the known wifi's are also wiped. --> you have to connect to them again...
I too am having this exact problem; I'm glad to hear it is not only me, not that it helps any of us.
I posted in another thread, but the symptoms everyone here are describing are exactly what I am seeing:
- Sudden battery drop from anything (it's happened to me before about 5 minutes after unplugging from the wall socket) to zero; then phone goes into a loop unless I plug it back into the mains socket
- When plugging into the mains socket with this issue, sometimes the battery is empty and sometimes it shoots straight back up to where it was
- Plants Vs Zombies 2 is the sure-fire way for me to reproduce this issue
- examined logs (although not sure if the right one) using CatLog; nothing obvious (in fact the last line on one of the logs is litterally cut halfway through)
- Wifi connection details lost occasionally
I have reflashed about 4 other (4.3) ROMs (and I tried a 4.4 GE one too) and they all seem to do the same; I am wondering if it is something to do with the non-Knox modems required to flash the 4.3 ROMs as I don't think I had this problem before updating to 4.3. I don't have the time or patience to revert back to a 4.2 ROM to test this though.
I can go for a couple of days without this happening, but fire up PvZ2 and here we go again.
I too have a new battery on order (allegedly genuine from a well-known auction site), so I will update this thread when that arrives to see if it makes any difference.
I don't like this post for one reason.... it means that the problem I am facing won't solve with a format and a new fresh flash... :crying:
I was spending some time on XDA searching for a good stable firmware to flash because I am having your exactly same issues on my phone... I just tought my phone got a bit messy because I have 130 apps installed and a lot of stuff on it.. so I was just thinking of solving all my problems with a new rom... but then I found this 3d...
So you are telling me that my problem won't get solved so easely? How am I going to deal with a Phone that randomly shuts up??? I need my phone and over the last week it got always worse.. first it shut up at about 5pm.. (at ca 15% charge) then at 3pm and 50% charge... today it shut up at 11am and 80% charge... soon I won't be able to use my phone at all!!
I'm happy I backed up all my data today, but it still doesn't solve my problem since I really need my phone... :crying:
This evening I'm going to flash anyway... let's see what happens..
PS I own a GT-I9505 with 4.2.2 stock rom (root)
Random Shutdown and boot loop
Sorry to hear there's a few more out there with the same problem that I am having. AhHm... Sorry, WAS having. I tried re-flashing all sorts of ROMS from 4.2.2 to Echoe KitKat 4.4, flashed CF Root, reinstalled philz touch recovery god knows how many times all to no avail. I now know that it is nothing to do with your ROM or phone setup. It's Samsungs crappy battery. As soon as I put in my new battery problems solved. I have been running multi-window apps whilst having FB on in the background and watching a film all at the same time. If this was gonna crash it would have done by now.
Problem solved. Don't buy the cheap SPB £9.99 one on ebay it has lots of bad reviews. I got this one with no problems:

I'm glad you solved.. this means there could be a solution to my problem... in any case the fact that alla batteries here seem to fail in the same week is really strange!!
And the thing I hate most is that a 500€ phone shouldn't be dying after just some months!
After having spent some time googling around.. I found a solution... well, not exactly a solution... let's say I found the core of the problem...
I found some very interesting posts on the misfuncion on all Samsung S4 Batteries Made and Produced in China with SN starting with BD....
And guess what? my battery corresponds!!
If you look at the battery you will notice that it is a little "bumped" and not perfectly flat...
Here in Italy many users went to samsung customer service and got the battery replaced!
Tomorrow I will check to see if I can get a new battery... for now I'm happy to know exactly what to do in order to get my phone working again!

Yeah I found that out tonight also. I called samsung earlier today and they said if it is less than 2 years old they will repair it and I should send it to them. I have flashed so many ROMS since I purchased it last year and one or two with Knox which as we know registers that it has had a custom download which voids the warrantee so I thought it would be a waste of time sending it to them. Also I need my phone for work so it was easier to purchase a new battery.

Hi,
Do you have a link to the info? was it on an official samsung site?

A3000 won't start or flash

This morning my A3000 started up then it shut down. Now when connected to a charger it only shows the LCD backlight no other operation. Tried to flash it but it won't stay on for more than 3 seconds, my XP laptop sees it then it disappears . Tried the reset button, tried disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes, next step is the hammer unless you can help it :fingers-crossed: only joking I would be lost without my A3000.
I know it's really annoying in such posts to say "Same problem here"..
but there is nothing I can do about it, I really have the same problem...! :S
even more, ! don't have an NVram backup so I lost my chance for formatting..

Hi, I had an idea, I have checked the battery voltage which is reading 3.03v (should be 3.7v) and has very low current so I have ordered a new battery today. I am hoping it is just that it can't start due to lack of power.

That will most likely work, I think mine would even be lower than that. but isn't there a way to charge it to that level?
Try to uninstall with wipe (ccleaner etc)+reboot & reinstall your driver from ur computer without connecting ur tab.
Then run spflashtool by download or upgrade mode (anyway which work) for a minute wait time.
The proper quick drivers & latest stock rom can be found at @azam436 thread on page 1-4, check it out.
If u ever flash stock rom by spflashtool, your nvram should be automatically backed up & will restored (cmiimw). Good luck.

All that has been tried of course, we are hardcore users
I tend to believe in @RayA3000 theory, waiting for his follow up about changing the battery, giving that my battery has gone really weak before the accident that I need to charge two times a day or just leave it connected to charger so I can be ready to go any time..

EUREKA - my new battery arrived today and my A3000 started up as usual, I'm chuffed
I have worked with batteries for years (we do camera repairs) and have found some batteries can just loose the will to live, no current. At £17.00 it was a cheap fix.

Ordro SW16 3G

Hello!
Does anybody know details or have experience with the Ordro SW16 3G?
Clone of imacwear M7?
Thanks
Omate/Pearl derivative.
certainly worth the 78 dollars
HI guys,girls
i just receiced the ordo phonewatch today and played with it for a few hours and everything works fine
it has a small screen and have rather big fingers but i still managed to type some messages and i think you have to practice a bit and get used to it
it works.
i called my father to test the phone part and is working very well , speaking with normal voice is clear to hear on the other side and the sound reproduction is quite decent and loud enough to
engage in normal conversation like with a normal fullsize smartphone
the software is sometimes leggy and also the screen is also no so responsive maybe it is because of my fingers i have a lot of callus and with casual
fingers it will work better
the installed software for hartmonitor works with sofware and the camera that did not work at all i had a hartrate of 260 superman??
It can be very usefull and handy and can be a lifesaver in a critical situation that`s for sure.
They claim that the watch is really dust and waterproof and i can say it is well build, i did not submerged the watch in a bowl of water to try it out,but i am confident that the watch will survive a shower
If u want to use this watch as a workhorse on daily basis this watch is certainly not for you and not recommended, it is a nice gadget and for the 78 dollars i payed for is worth the money
you are able to make decent phonecalls and will be always available without carrying a phone and can ideal for sports or other acitivity`s and situations where carying a full size phone is not so conveniant

Just got the ORDRO SW16 from Gearbest. Here's some first impressions:
1. Well built, feels good on the wrist, screen is decent and battery life (on WiFi/BT, don't have a SIM) is good as well.
2. ROOT is difficult to obtain. MTKDroidTools fails, Kingroot, Framaroot and Towelroot all fails. It wasn't until I tried Kingo Root is that Root was attained.
3. BE VERY CAREFUL when using that cradle. You can probably damage the watch by placing it on the cradle slightly tilted when it's plugged in. To elaborate, I cradled the watch and I put it at an angle, misaligning the cradle pins for an eighth of a second. Power probably went wrong way into the watch and caused a sudden shutoff. After reboot, the watch no longer recognizes the PC it is connected to, and my Windows 7 Laptop kept saying "USB Device Malfunctioned." I gave up on it, thinking I fried the USB chip, but it wasn't until 24 hours later that the USB port worked again! It was a scare. Make sure to cradle the watch properly first, then plug in the USB cord. Then unplug the cradle, before taking off the watch to prevent accidents.
4. It comes with Play Store and Google Play Services.
5. The Magnetic Compass is rather finicky and you have to hold it in weird angles to work. The GPS Antenna also acts weirdly and takes a while to get positioning.
6. Encryption is supported! You can Encrypt the phone storage, but you somehow can't encrypt the MicroSD Card from what I see. If there's an ADB Command to enable SD Card Encryption, can anyone post here?
I've been messing around with this watch for a few days now.
I am able to install TWRP and downgrade to Android 4.2 (to avoid 4.4 bugs).
I also managed to install SuperSU and Root Explorer but this does not work very well. Mostly because the screen is too small and the SuperSU Grant/Deny Prompts are obscured by the screen. Even after a workaround, Root Explorer is also limited since the screen isn't big enough to show the buttons at the bottom so you can't assign file permissions.
I will be attempting to mount the SD Card as Internal Storage, then encrypting the watch. Hopefully the "Internal Storage" (aka. SD Card) would also be encrypted as well.
Maybe I should write details how I did this or dump my 4.2 ROM for others to try? I still have not found a fix for the stuck compass needle.
Update.
I'm convinced the compass is defective. I've loaded the official ORDRO Rom, the iMacWear 4.2 ROM, iMacWear 4.4 ROM, some generic clone ROM (x01) and tried root and other variables in between.
None makes the internal compass work, it remains stuck. If you jiggle the watch hard enough or you tilt it in specific ways, you'd get small jumps of the compass working before getting stuck.
Right now I am going to try to reload the original ORDRO ROM to check functionality, then I will attempt to flash the Truesmart ROM. I've read that this is a bad idea, but at this point I am willing to try anything as I got the hang of recovering from bad flashes.
FINAL Update.
Truesmart ROM Freezes on startup. Reverted to Stock Firmware. Compass still stuck.
I think that's it for this experiment. I've wasted too much time trying to see what ROM would unstick the sensor. At this point I am going to return it since it's technically defective.

Hello, I'm sorry but I no longer have the original backup, and no longer have the watch.
its ok i am using the m7 custom firmware now ,maybe one day the original rom will be available online someday
thanks for the fast reply
kind regards roland
I know this is an old thread, but....
I was wondering if anyone has been able to install Google+ on this with any other ROM other than the factory?
I have Google+ working, using the location sharing so I know where my son is . I was getting an error about missing shared libraries before.
I first made a backup using MTK Droid Tools: http://www.chinaphonearena.com/foru...up-MTK6592-MTK6589-MTK6577-and-all-MTK-Phones
I then made flashed the recovery following this guide: http://www.gizbeat.com/5786/how-to-make-create-twrp-mt6592-mt6582-mt6572-mt6589-mt6595/
I cautiously ignored the oversized recovery error, it still worked. Afterwards I used the Power Menu app to reboot into recovery and flashed the kk gapps. Google Plus worked fine after that.
Hello. Does anyone know if the Ordro SW16 can be linked with a cell phone and receive notifications when calls and texts come in? Can you make a call from watch using Bluetooth? Thanks.
Hello. I have the same qüestion. Have you solved the problem for linking with a cell phone?.
Thanks.

I have restored it from the factory and it has not been solved. The charger works well, the problem is that some of the smartwatch makes the battery is consumed and I do not know what it is. Can anybody help me?

My H990DS is stuck in Firmware Update (910K B50)

Hi, my phone is H990DS and is stuck in Firmware Update screen with error 910K B50.
I tried to flash first "H990ds10i" firmware and after the H990ds10c_00_OPEN_SG_DS_OP_1214.kdz firmware creating proper LG.dll files but my phone doesn't restart and it is stuck on Firmware Update screen.
I also tried to use LG Flash Tool 2014 but the program crashes all times..
How can I fix my phone?
Do you know what is my problem?
edit: LG Flash Tool 2014 doesn't close anymore but to about 10% in bar progress says me to contact the administrator
I don' t know if is it the worth to use ADB but I don't know anything about this..
Please help me...
I succeeded to use the Lg Flash Tool 2014 but I get the same Lg Up's outcome..

I have the same problem and I had tried nearly every thing but no benefit (unlock bootloader.. rooting .. dirtysanta...upgrading the android by LGup)
but finally I found the solution >> just by applying a spray or perfume on the site of charging plug and it work every time

Do you say for truth? Even if you use the battery of phone? I'll try it too....
Edit: well done my friend! Now that I've just arrived on my house I've tried to spray a parfume on charging plug and when I've plugged the charger I saw battery icon, then "Erasing" and now I'm in Android is upgrading!
I can't believe it!
Thank you a lot my friend and when you come in Italy you've a good pizza paid!

yes it is true >> it works for me >> I tried it with and without the removal of the battery >> try to power the phone directly after the application of the spray (while the site of the insertion of the charging plug still wet)

The issue is solved only partially because if you restart the phone it shows Firmware Update screen and only when you spray alcool into plug charger and you try many times plugging the charger that you can boot the phone fine.
Anyway I get many errors and I can't create sms and WhatsApp backups...
Anyway I think that it's a hardware failure...

Just to clarify, you sprayed perfume on the USB-C Charging port?
EDIT: Holy crap it worked. I sprayed perfume on the USB-C port and it worked.
man you literally are a savior !!!.. i had this problem and i searched every article there is on internet about firmware stuck screen, i watched every single video on youtube but nothing worked i installed every lg software there is on my pc but it wouldn't let me connect to my computer. but your spray perfume trick worked like a charm man. i am sincerely thankful to you man.

What causes this to work? I just tried this and it worked
How do you even figure something like this out? Insane.
First of all i didnt belive it at all but after flashing and reading 2days give it a try. Procedure is simple put usb type c cable in some alchohole connect chager in wall and connect phone and voila erasing and restarting thanks everybody on this trade.
This is one of the strangest technical things ever happened to me and I'm an engineer - the spraying works! After many hours of trying to solve the problem in whatever way offered or conceived I said what the hell let's spary. I suspect that maybe the spraying shortcuts the connectors or adjacent circuit for a short time and makes some effect otherwise I have no logical explanation to the fact that it works.

I wonder how did you find about this. Not having the issue, just interested.
Lol! I have an LG tablet that was stuck on 910k b0 firmware update screen. Tried 3 shots of hand sanitizer spray, did the shut down with POWER + Volume down button for 5 seconds, plugged back the power, and now it is charging properly. Either the connection was dirty, either the battery was so dead, i dont care, the spray worked... I thought it was a joke but i was so desperate that i tried it. Thanks for posting that solution !
Just made an account on this random ass website (I've actually seen it before but I have no care to be here...) to say thanks and that this trick worked for me.
I left my phone outside in the cold and I came back to this exact error. In WTF mode i searched it on google and found this post. This worked. Not exactly sure what's going on here lmao. My battery is dead though I am charging it now, I suspect this is part of the reason why.
I am a regular person and this random trick actually worked. What are you smoking LG?????
