Galaxy s7 not showing download progress? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions & Answers

I've set it on priority. And it was working for a little bit then just quit showing the progress. Anything I can do? It kinda bugs me.

[Q] Lockscreen notification lag.

So I got a white Note 4 yesterday (the N910U, which comes with the Exynos inside) and I love it. It's fast, snappy and powerful and I've had almost absolutely no problems with it so far.
There is, however, one thing that I've noticed, and would like any suggestions on.
Whenever I get a text message/SMS, the lockscreen will sometimes suddenly become really laggy. Pulling the status bar down, clicking on the message notification and any unlock effect will lag pretty horrendously.
I've tried replicating this by sending texts to myself, and most of the time the lag is there while sometimes it isn't.
If there's no message on the lockscreen though there's no lag no matter what I do to it. This only happens when I have a text message and the notification preview shows up on the lockscreen.
Any suggestions other than rooting? I don't want to root the device as it's brand new and has warranty (and I'll probably need that). It's weird because there's absolutely no lag anywhere else in the device even if I throw everything I can at it. This is the only place where the phone actually lags, and because I text quite a bit I'm hoping there's some kind of solution before Lollipop gets rolled out.
Bump. Anyone...?

I can't help you with this specific "lag" of the notification screen. What I do know is that there are (a lot of?) users who are having all kinds of lag on their Note 4. I'm one of them. Check if you have the latest firmware. In my case the latest firmware (december 2014) "cured" lag here and there....not all, but a lot.

I have the latest firmware for my region - ANK5.
It's the only place I have lag throughout the whole device... so I wonder if it's a case of "your mileage may vary". Hoping it'll be fixed with future updates though - thanks for the answer anyway.

S7 Edge Auto Brightness Issue

Well got the game mode thing fixed where the screen Dims out while playing games. Now the other thing is the auto brightness of the phone itself. When you have auto brightness off the screen still doesn't stay on maximum brightness. The s6 and s6 edge had this same issue and I see they carried it over onto the s7 edge lol... anyone have a non-rootable fix? Anything is always appreciated as always.
I'd imagine lux could handle this.
That would be be near impossible to fix non-root. And none of us has made anything even if you had root.
Maybe someone else will prove me wrong
Who knows.
Enjoy your S7 in the meantime
So annoying.
I have the same problem and I even uploaded a video I shot today but can't post it because I don't have 10 posts. Put this in your address bar to view:

S8 slow and unresponsive

Hey guys,
I don't have this phone, but asking for a coworker. His s8 suddenly just started becoming very slow and unresponsive this morning. He said the only thing he did was try to change his wallpaper and a Samsung wallpaper (or something similar, don't have the actual name of the app but it seems to be baked in by Samsung) app showed up in his app drawer. Just wondering if anyone else experienced something like this and had a solution other than wiping it.
Some more info, he just got an update but hasn't installed it yet. Not sure if this is getting Oreo already or if it's just the September security patch. I checked battery stats and it doesn't seem like there is a rogue app causing it to slow down, but I couldn't find ram usage for the life of me on the phone since I'm not familiar with Samsung's skin. Also tried restarting and letting it fully power off, waiting a few mins and then booting back up.
My guess it's samsung being samsung (the reason I don't buy them anymore but for all I know they don't break after an extended period of time anymore), but I've never seen a phone deteriorate that fast.
Any help is appreciated.
Edit: it's not rooted and the Verizon variant if that makes a difference

Game Tuner issue

Hello, i did a couple of searches and did not find any solution for my problem.
my game tuner is not opening (it freezes on the opening screen) and keeps forever! it happened after i rooted my phone, so game tuner does need knox?
it worked on my s6 with no problems, but my s7 edge.
if anyone could give a hand i would really appreciate!

Nope it doesn't need Knox. What it does need tho is game optimization service, check your system apps, maybe its disabled.

Samsung S10+ One UI has lots of bugs

Anyone experiencing this?
The bugs that I faced so far:
- waze not responding after switching between apps. Once not responding, I have to close waze completely then open it again but I might need to wait few mins before it would start correctly
- just today the camera suddenly not responding. I have tried to close the apps but it would still shows blank screen. Then I restart the device then it was back to normal
- game rise of civilization would gave blank white screen from time to time after switching apps
- system UI not responding
I was coming from iOS, then change to vivo v9 before I use Samsung.
While the screen and design is a beauty, but even vivo had no bugs like Samsung.
Anyone face similar issues? Anyone know how to overcome this?

Never noticed such bugs on my device. Don't know about the game though because I didn't try it. Are you rooted ? or using some theming apps like Substratum ? You should try booting your phone in safe mode first to see if some app is causing problems. Last time when my Samsung phone's UI stopped working, the culprit was wrong theme applied from Substratum. So, check it first in safe mode, and if it still occurs in safe mode, do a factory reset or flash stock firmware using odin.
I have had none of those bugs.
Never experienced any of those "bugs" either.
Also, No bugs here...
Never had a bug here
No such bugs.

No bugs here. Not even in beta versions using s8 ans s9. I suggest factory reset. Maybe download the latest odin firmware for your carrier and install that. This is the first thread i've seen with people having multiple concerns with One UI bugs.
The only bug I am getting is with the Spotify app. Ever since installing Galaxy Wearables and using Galaxy ear buds the Spotify app is really flakey. It hangs a lot of the time and I have to restart the device to get it to work. Has anyone else had this happen on their S10 plus?
Did not face any of those bugs at all
And did not try this game
No bugs here
I have a lot of apps on my phone, some since honeycomb and no problems either.
My 975U1 has been rock solid from day 1.
No bugs on my phone. But there are plenty roaches in my workplace
No bugs here.
No bugs. This is the least buggy phone I have ever had. No complaints. Coming from pixels and 6t
Not rooted... I will try the safe mode suggestion though...

Spotify works fine for me. On the phone and on Android Auto. Either uninstall and reinstall or go to apps settings and clear cache and data. Settings/Apps/Spotify/storage/ Clear cache then clear data buttons. Restart and try it out again.
