hello, I have samsung S4 I9000 and I should love to unroot and flash a new rom. Can anyone point me the way to do that?
many thanks ,
Carl
Flashing stock firmware will unroot it automatically.
You cannot unroot and flash a new custom ROM. Unless you want to go back to stock and upgrade to latest stock update.

Hi,
I use an A501 Iconia Tab and flashed a custom ics by tegraowners. Now I'd like to go back to the latest stock firmware. However, I don't know how to do that.
Is there a program like ODIN for Samsung with which I can simply flash the latest stock firmware?
Every help would be appreciated!
Thanks!
Anyone?
There is a complete ota ics rom in dev forum. Complete stock. Flash able zip.
Hey
I Just Download The 4.3 stock touch wiz rom and i couldent download roms After i tried to root re root and download different recovery but i cant Download any rom Can some one help i hate touch wiz
i got back to stock rom because of warranty
If you took the time to read, you would know that downgrade isn't possible if you flash a Knox enabled bootloader.
If you want to 4.2.2 flash a custom rom.
Hi guys i am on the old bootloading using omega 13.2 BTU / 4.3 / EMJ5
i am trading in my S4 today for a S5 and i need to deroot it and reflash stock.
can someone tell me what firmware i need to flash to make it stock again i dont want nox cause if i change my mind i want to be able to reroot again in the future incase i change my mind today....
can someone point me to a fast download rom that i can flash in ODIN
thankyou.
All 4.4 and 4.3 stock official firmwares have Knox in them, so you should not flash them at all if you want to avoid Knox!
You can use recovery, and flash any other 'stock' like rom in the development section which does not have Knox (Omega, Wanam etc...)
Just flash an old 4.2.2 firmware stock version you can find downloads on sammobile. Use Triangle Away to reset counters as well.

I have the Verizon Galaxy Note 3 and I just wanted to make sure of something before I did it. Better safe than sorry, right?
I am presently on 4.3 MJE, but I want to go back to the 4.2.2 firmware it original came with.
I've downloaded the original firmware for this. Can I just flash it back using ODIN? The same way I would if my device was rooted and I just simply flashed back and original firmware.
Thanks
Hi,
On my S5 (SM-G900FQ) , there is original Samsung ROM (4.4.2) , rooted but with default Recovery.
I want to update to new official rom (Lolipop) and then re-root.
What is the most easiest and convenient way to achieve this ?
I can update to Lolipop rom through Odin. But then how can I get back root easily ? (without installing CWM if possible)
If I have to install CWM, which version should I use ?
Thanks.
I'd appreciate any help. There are lots of threads talking about root'ing but I couldn't find the one which works for Lolipop official ROM.
