Hello guys, i hope wrote on right threads.
The question is easy , if for example i have a backup of Note 4 samsung (i found the directory of Samsung Smart Switch) can i restore on a S7 edge?
Maybe not all but contacts, sms and other stuff?
I'm pretty sure that the data is backed up and restored from cloud. Local copy might not work due to encryption, but I am not too sure about it.

Hi everyone, thanks for this wonderful community.
I recently purchased Samsung's Galaxy Note 3 on Verizon in the USA. Because I used to use the original Galaxy Nexus and was pleased with the "pure google experience" and the Nexus 5 doesn't work on Verizon's network, I rooted my Note 3 and want to learn how to completely backup with Titanium Backup Pro ( I purchased it ) My goal is this, If I decide to gain "pure google experience" by deleting all of the non google apps and then decide to restore it to it's original state, how can I be sure it will be just like I bought it from Verizon? I have been researching this issue as I have successfully rooted my device. ( everything works like it suppose to, Samsung Hub, Verizon Cloud, ect, ect.) Just not sure what or how to back it up. Thanks.
The easiest way to be sure it is completely back to stock when you need it to be would be to use Odin to restore. There are threads about it on here that describe how to use Odin to restore the phone to a completely stock state.

Titanium backup let's you freeze the bloatware you don't want. Then in the future if you find yourself wanting that app you can just defrost the app. It's better than deleting apps because that could lead to other apps malfunctioning. As far as backups in Titanium it's very simple to do.
Also if you are going to install custom roms then install Safestrap 3.65 stable version and make a backup of your stock rom.
It also allows you to run roms on additional rom slots while maintaining your stock rom in a safe slot.
Hi,
I have a SAmsung Galaxy S5 SM-900F (the european/international LTE version)
and i can't make calls or send messages, checked my IMEI and it was wrong, not the same as the one in the back of the phone.
So the EFS partition is messed up, any help please to restore the original IMEI?

Sorry to hear about your difficulties. If you have a backup, then that will resolve your issue. Or if your phone is under warranty, then a warranty claim will aid you.
However, as a quick search would have shown you, this forum doesn't allow discussions about manipulating IMEI numbers as that is often abused. Google will locate the information you need on some other site.

I guess you bought it second hand for a very `good` price, if so it seems you got scammed.
no luck for me then
is anyone kind to PM me with the steps to repair it, if it's allowed in the forums of course.
anyway i'm trying different methods found in google for other galaxy phones.
s7 edge android 7 imei repair possible yet ? sorry im very fledgling thank you

i repaired mine once only as i backed up the efs and saved it on my pc i restored it and solved my issue. Ive made that my own law, always backup important partitions before i go threw a list of roms as i just cannot stick with the same 1 for more than a week.
which rom u install thank u
So by complete freak accident I copied over a TWRP backup of my mom's Galaxy S6 which was running an S8+ port ROM, and I restored it to my S8+ by accident - TWRP restored that backup to my S8+ and obviously I was unable to boot, but also my EFS & baseband was ruined because it tried to restore the Galaxy S6 EFS and baseband to my S8+ :crying: :crying: so now after flashing back a normal Galaxy S8+ ROM I can't make any calls/etc as expected.
I do have an EFS backup of my phone but that backup is stored in a computer which is in another country, and I won't have access to it for another 3 months...
Anyways, I was hoping if there was anyone that could help me repair my S8+ IMEI. I only have $5 USD in my Paypal that I could pay, I know its not much but I would really appreciate any help with this. I also have some balance in an SMM panel that I could give as additional compensation if someone is interested in that too. Thanks
EDIT: Nevermind, fixed by @ZeroXO
Thanks and best regards

Imei are cert based on s8s. I'm not gonna give any sites. But imei repair is a Google search not here. Since you damaged the cert based imei possibly it will cost a lot more than 5 USD. Going rates I've seen are about 100 or so USD. So of some one could get you a copy of that efs sent to you your gold of not I would find a backup til you can repair it

Hello, I had a similar issue with a galaxy S8, I contacted Samsung, they told me to use the "galaxy-s-unlock" app, which requires Busybox. And for me it worked ! Maybe you can try on the s8 sd

some thing wrong with sharing images ,
but the hardware modem is present , just missing the certificate
I have. Managed to enable imei , and root the device , stuck at imei status ng , vocie service : emergency calls only
Any help
The only way I have been able to get working so far via flashing of efs, imei write with paid tool and patch certificate via same paid tool. I am sure mentioning that tool here would definitely breach the forum rules.
