I need help with the "Repeat" Options. There is a button in the top right hand corner and I know if a keep pressing it it is cycling through the various repeat options: "Repeat One Song" - "Repeat Whole Album"
Does anyone KNOW what each one does? It's unclear just from the symbols so a key would be great.
I ask because I have yet to find a setting that will make the player go to the next album.
To clarify, when an album ends I want it to just go to whatever the next album is!

Repeat One Song means it will repeat the currently playing song.
Repeat Album means it will repeat what ever is currently in the playlist.
Thanks Assassin, it would be easier to explain what I meant with some screen shots.
When you hit the Repeat button it cycles through 4 different options.
What I wold like to know is what exactly each of the four are/does.
In particular, which ones allows the unit to go from the last song in one album to the first song in the next album.
Whichever option I choose it either repeats the album or just stops!

Anyone having the problem of not able to move to different sites of a zoomed picture in the album??
Meaning when i zoom in and i wan to look at other areas of the picture that is out of range of my screen, i cant "click n drag" to move to another site.
Also for the default music tab for tf3d under "all songs", i cannot tab on my screen and scroll down to see other songs. It kept getting stuck at the first few songs.
What ROM are you using (and is it stock)? when you try to do 'click and drag,' are you clicking and holding down on the screen? In order to pan elsewhere you must press and hold your finger to the screen until a rectangle appears in the upper left corner with another rectangle in it.
As for the TF3D music problem, never seen that, sorry.
OH!! So thats how u use the photo viewer! haha thx alot dude! But the music player problem remain unsolved. zzz. Im using htc's rom and not any 3rd party rom btw.
I haven't seen/heard of your TF3D music player error....but are you sure you're in All music and not playlist?
yeah im sure im in the playlist. Im tinking it might be a corruption from software installation. But so many wont know is which caused it.

I got that problem too. Scrolling on "all songs" tab is broken, I can only see the first eight tracks. 766 tracks total, official ROM 1.14.479.3 (25874) WWE. Soft reset doesn't help. I didn't try hard reset.
i think i have found a bug in the music player
after a soft reset or first initialisation the following is available
in portrait mode you can scroll through the demo songs by album artwork vertically and play tracks till your hearts content BUT pause the track and go to landscape mode then click on an album cover and select the track on the left then go back to portrait and all you get is the one cover playing the selected track (you still with me ?)
now pause that track and you have lost the vertical scrolling mode until you do a soft or hard reset.
anyone else have this bug ???
If I understood you correctly, I don't think that's a bug.
The vertical and horizontal browsing modes are different.
Vertical (portrait) mode skips between the tracks that are currently in the 'now playing' list. If it contains tracks from multiple albums, you'll see the different covers of the tracks that are coming up.
Horizontal (landscape) mode flips between all the albums in your library. If you tap on an album, you see the tracks it contains; if you click one of those tracks, it starts playing. Your 'now playing' list then loads all the tracks of that one album and nothing more. Therefore, returning to portrait mode, you'll only be able to flip through the tracks of that one album.
Since the demo music typically has only one track per album, your 'now playing' list will consist of only one song. That's why vertical 'scrolling' seems to stop working: you can't scroll through a list that has only one item.
To put it simply: vertical 'scrolling' is like pushing the 'next' or 'previous track' button on your remote; horizontal 'scrolling' is like going through your cd collection to find something else to listen to.
your answer seems logical
however every demo i have seen has showed the vertical scrolling of albums,
i was kinda hoping i was doing something daft as i quite like the vertical scrolling of album covers.
ohh well if its not a feature i have wasted some time uninstalling programs and resetting registry keys back to standard that i had altered, thinking one of these may have caused it in the first place ( DOH !)
ok will start again in earnest setting the device the way i like it
Well... if you load all your music into the 'now playing' list, you can kinda flip through albums track by track. Especially if each album has only one track like those sample songs. Just open your library, slide to the 'tracks' tab and tap on any song.
I got a HD2 yesterday and found the same thing with the music area in HTC Sense in vertical mode and thought it might be a bug but this does make sense and works exactly as explained
My music still stops playing after a 30 seconds or so though and I have no idea why
i know these are going to be some silly questions, but i can find the answer anywhere :$
In the phone's default music player ( the music tab or howerver u call it ), if i press Library-> All songs i can see some songs being listed twice. That means that if i listen to one of these songs and i press next, the exact same song will play. I use the latest Windows Media Player to import the song into the phone, saving the songs into the storage card, and the MUSIC folder in the device path is empty. btw, is there a way to make the music continue playing after all the tracks are over? Its getting annoying having to chose the first track every time.
Also, i have this 480x800 picture that i want to set as wallpaper on the Home screen/tab. I press Menu (on the Home screen) -> Home Wallpaper -> Weather Wallpaper and i choose the picture. If i check the Home Screen again, the wallpaper *is* the one i chose but it looks zoomed in, making it look bad since u can see some blury pixels :S
can someone help with these?
How do I get back to my music player home screen from the now playing screen? The music player home screen being the screen where I can select music album/artist/song/playlists etc. When I'm at the now playing screen I click on the small music list icon on the bottom right which takes me to the last used screen, i.e the music album list or playlists. BUT, when I click the back arrow on the top left, it takes me back to the now playing screen?? How to I go back to the main music home menu?
The only way I've found is I have to click the options button then 'End', which closes the music player. Then it comes back. However I've not found a way to get to the home screen without closing the app
I think I might have just missed something. Any help would be appreciated. THanks.
In the playing now screen hit the back option (on the phone bottom right ) this takes you back to albums/artist etc option .

If you press the 'mood' button (furthest right just below the album art ) then you get a menu at the top with artist, album etc

The title pretty much sums up the issue... I am under the impression that when the main screen is off, and the second screen is on, you can do certain things like control music playback, which I do.
When I am in the car I have my phone connected to the car via bluetooth. My passengers ought to be able to use my phone's second screen to play, pause and skip tracks. But it seems that the default second screen (notifications, date, time and battery level) always shows. So swiping left or right is always needed to find the music controls. If music is already playing, should the music controls automatically become active on the second screen?
When I am in the office on my own I sometimes play music on my phone's speaker. Like in the car, when music is playing, should the music controls come to the front so I have access to them right away? I'm doing this today, and I've noticed that I have to swipe left or right to get to the music controls, but they do not stay. The default screen (notifications, date, time and battery level) takes over after approx. 5 seconds. This is frustrating!
Go into the second screen settings, long press "show second screen when phone is off", now from the list make sure music player is checked and drag it to the top so it's the first screen that is shown. You can do the same when the screen is on.
Edit: never mind it seems that the notification panel takes priority with the screen off.
I had the same annoyance with the v10, wish they would fix it.
It should function like it does when the screen is on, if you set the music player to the top when the screen turns on it immediately appears I wonder why they castrated the screen when off? I would think they would mirror the function of it while it is on.

Hi. I planned to post before you had made those edits, cos what you have described is different to what I see...
I'm using the V20 H990DS, and upon going into Settings > Second Screen, I have three options, "Show when main screen on", "Show when main screen off" and then "More". First two are enabled, but there's no difference between tapping them or long pressing. Can you confirm if a long press is necessary? When I go into "Show when main screen off" I do not get a list like you describe. Instead I get "Default screen" and "Quick Tools". And then a "Daily timeout". Ignoring the "Daily timeout" for now, going into "Default screen" gives only two options... "Date & time" or ""Signature".
Maybe I should do a system update... I'm running Android 7.0, Android security patch level is 1 Nov 2016, Kernel is 3.18.31, build no. is NRD90M, and Software version is V10b-TWN-XX. There IS an update available, however if anyone else reading this is on a newer version than this and still has the same "bug" I have regarding the second screen not staying on the music controls, what is the point for me?
Its not a bug. Its not supposed to stay on music. There is no option to keep it on music.
Well, that's why I put it in quotation marks. It's not a bug per se, but it is annoying we don't have the option to keep it on that screen.
You actually just have to tap the entry to get the list of options you can put on the second screen, tap "show when the main screen is on", the listing on the "show when the main screen is off" unfortunately is extremely limited.
I wish they'd update the options in the screen off screen to match the on options. The signature option is lame in my opinion and should be replaced with something more functional.

I agree with you 100%. The signature is not practical at all. It's the sort of feature you might find on a Nokia 3310.
