I recently updated my Galaxy S5 to Marshmallow. Everything went well except the volume for system sounds, alarms and text alerts is very low. I have wiped cache from the recovery menu but the issue persists. My phone is NOT rooted.
I don't know what else to do. I hope someone has an idea.

Hey, so when ever I make a call (I can dial but when I hit call) my phone will lock up, then the screen goes black, shuts off and turns back on. It happens when I answer or reject incoming calls as well. This only started happening when I updated my S5 to lolipop, I unrooted, and when back to the S5 stock kitkat ROM, full factory reset before going to lolipop, phone calls worked fine rooted and unrooted in KitKat, so it makes me think it's a lolipop issue. Since running into the problem I've tried, going back to kitkat and upgrading again, factory resetting from within lolipop, wiped caches, and such, and I just can't get it to work. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. It can't be hardware related since calls work fine on kitkat right?
So, I bought an unlocked and used Verizon s5 from eBay running lolipop 5.0 and my friend rooted it with king-root via Odin so I could remove some installed bloatware other then that it was a stock rom. It was fine for a month approx the Verizon pushed a voice mail app/message update and now my s5 randomly reboots, gets caught in boot loops and earlier was getting "system process inst responding", and battery power changes from charged to low levels.
I have taken my sd card, taken out and reinserted the battery (only have one so cannot try a new one), wiped cache for recovery menu and even factory reset the install king-root app one touch root. any help would be appreciated.
Random reboots normally mean kernel errors same as blue screen of death on windows so I would recommend reinstall official lollipop firmware via odin then Reroot
Hi.
I have updates my S5 to newest android.
A few times every day it reboots itself when pressing the power button to unlock the screen.
I have cleared cache and done factory reset many times.
No encryption, no pincode.
How can I fix this problem!!
Same here..
i`ve allready reflashed my phone twice with Kies...
Now i`m searching a way to downgrade it to the previous version.
Ugh :/
I have contacted Samsung support
Ejected SD-card, cleared cache and did a factory reset. Everything works perfect. Seems like android 6 or/and an app was causing the issue?
I am having an issue with the notification panel ever since I upgraded my phone to Marshmallow. The problem is that when I change the quick settings buttons around, after a short while, it would just reset it's self. I haven't had issues with this while my phone wasn't rooted. I am not using a custom ROM. I did however had to download a ROM from SamMobile because I have soft bricked my phone once or twice. So, all I did to root my phone was to put TWRP on it as a custom recovery and flash SuperSU. Thanks for any help you can give me.
Hello everyone
It has been a while since I last started anything here.
I have had a few problems with my galaxy note 3, it freezes, sensors go crazy from time to time, things like that, but most of them I have been able to resolve or work around.
Now I have a new one that I was not able to resolve despite going for the last resort fixes. I have a galaxy gear 2 (not s2, just 2) that has this media control app. After using it, I found out that the app stops working a few hours after the device boots up. Right now all I know is this:
1. Everything works fine once system had a few minutes to load after start.
2. After unknown amount of time, the phone stops responding to gear, bluetooth headphones and cord headphones media control attempts.
3. Bug persisted after I flashed a new ROM and then rooted and used TWRP to get back my data partition (nothing else). Than I wiped cache and dalvik and booted up.
4. Currently trying to do the same but without rooting to see if that helps.
My phone before any attempts:
SM-N9005
4.4.2 Kitkat root stock ROM
TWRP
Ultimate kernel
Xposed framework (a few youtube modules xtorch and wanam)
I would appreciate any advice you have for me. I will update this if not rooting fixes the issue. If it does not I will root and reinstall xposed and others
UPDATE: Even no root no xposed system did not help. Flashing back my TWRP backup.
Wipe phone flash stock rom and test first .
I probably will, just not right now, it takes quite a long time to get phone into working order after a flash with no backup. Also if it helped I would have to wipe my gear too because of how pairing system works...
