Rooted my tab 4 8.0 but the screen is blank - Galaxy Tab 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I just rooted my tablet and it looked like everything was fine but when my tablet restarted, the screen is blank and I keep getting error messages about various apps that have stopped. I also am able to access the top screen menu. Can anyone help me out?
Thanks in advance!

SMS problem after phone crash

Hi everyone,
I'm wondering if someone might be able to help me out with a problem I'm having.
I'm running the latest Energy Rom, which I've had no problems with until this morning.
I wrote a reply to a text message, hit send, and the phone froze. Literally would not do anything, so I had to remove the battery.
When I turned the phone back on, I went to the messages tab to check if the text had sent. I tapped All Messages, but nothing happened. I tapped it again, and still nothing.
I clicked on the current message on the previous screen, which then come up with a message saying 'Message recovering'. After that, I went back to the home screen, back to the messages tab and tried All Messages again. It now brings all the messages up, but for approximately 1-2 seconds, and then closes and goes back to the Sense text preview screen on the messages tab. I've tried it several times, restarted, etc, but it still only let's me view it for a second or two. I've tried quickly clicking to change the folder (i.e to sent items), but it does the same.
I have just spent ages getting this phone up and running the way I like it, and I really do not want to have to do a hard reset!
Any help would be very much appreciated!

Unfortunately setup wizard has stopped

At boot, my N10 is now coming up with the message "unfortunately setup wizard has stopped". All that works is the pull down settings, and I can see all the setting and apps listed there. There is no navigation bar on the bottom. It was working OK for the past couple of months.
This is a stock Nexus 10 without any root or modifications to the OS.
How do I fix it and get the tablet back working?

[Q] 'Sending' message keeps appearing on my screen

Hey I was hoping someone could help me out and at least tell me if this is normal. I just purchased the nexus 4 and the word 'sending' keeps being displayed at the bottom of my screen. Is this normal? Can I turn it off?
Thanks in advance.
Did you try restarting the phone? If all else fails do a Factory reset.
NOTE this will wipe all your data.

"renable" popups that i cant explain

my sm-g900v keeps popping up renable balloons at the bottom of the screen. ive searched high and low trying to find out why with no result. it starts with "RENABLE 1" and goes to "RENABLE 20". Should i be worried, is it normal, and can i get it off? the device is rooted running Optimal Rom 15-2, baseband OE1, android 5.0. thanks in advance. for whatever reason my old account wont recognize so i started this one and it will not let me post pics.

help! black screen instead of lock screen - nothing works

hi all,
since a day i have an extremely annoying issue with the note3 (sm-9005)
first, when it boots - it takes ca.10 minutes. stuck on the samsung animated logo.
then the black screen appears with the status bar (which i can drag down). normally i should have a lock screen appearing. but it just remains black. and in the status bar i have a message " you can now safely remove sd card" and "tap to enter knox". nothing happens when tapping those two...
can i play back an update from the SD card so that FW renews and i don't have to so factory reset and reinstall everything?
(ps. when connecting phone to a pc it shows no disks inside the phone so that if it still was locked...)
thanks in advance!
What do you mean by an update ???

well same thing as one would do using kies, only somehow without kies. i saw in the recover boot an option "apply update from external storage" and was wondering what file could i use for that?
i have SWC region on my device...
Answer is no via above.
Firmware update is via Kies or Odin .
Alternative is custom rom via custom recovery .

UPD: after some searching i was able to unlock the device through samsung's findmomybile. however, half of the apps are missing, most of the ones which are not missing do not work, etc...
i guess not much left but factory reset. hopefully these are not corrupt internal storage problems.

Did anyone come up with a solution to this other than findmymobile? I have had the same problem with my Note 3, e.g. taking 5-10 mins to load up from power off, the dreaded black screen with the power / wifi / etc icons shown on the top. My Note 3 was password protected as well, meaning I can't get into it even with Kies. I have the latest stock firmware installed.
I hadn't installed any apps to my phone before it died, however I do recall a security update being installed earlier in the day (this looked like an official Android one).
Any ideas? I went along to a Samsung Service Centre for help and they had told me that they had seen at least 5 cases of this on a Note 3 over the last two days.

I did not receive any response from anyone from anywhere. So I tried on myself and started manipulating every corner. I tried bluetooth and I could backup my contacts. It was the first victory.
I restarted into safemode by holding down the Down Volume for about 10 minutes! I wanted to try calling via pc via bluetooth. Just as a blind try. Meanwhile I saw a Knox notofication I had seen before so I just clicked carelessly. Vow!! The Knox Lock Screen was there blinking behind some error messages. I tried my lock pattern but nothing happended. I tried more and more, I was thinking this may corrupt the LCD! because it was blinking and went on off rapidly.
I saw that a counter is reducing. 20 attempts left.. 19 attempt... I worked hard till 4 or 3 then some message popup saying knox may be uninstalled. I said who cares? and went on. finally knox was uninstalled. I continued manipulating other available corners of the Note 3 and after a while I restarted and vow!! It was like back to life!
I came here writing for those who are out there seeking every corner of the web for a liitle bit of information.
I backed up my stuff and did a factory reset. It seems fine now.
I suggest manipulating every possible sequence of events. It will pop up some error and then the answer may rise!
best wishes
in my case i unlocked it with findmymobile, backed up stuff to SD card and did factory reset without much further thinking.
phone works fine until today
