I have a I9500 rooted 5.0.1 stock firmware. I have recently disassembled my phone watching a you tube tutorial carefully to check/clean the proximity sensor and found that it was dead. After that I have been facing horizontal lines on display when I zoom in or while watching videos especially when the white screen comes in the background, the lines are more visible. The lines are visible if carefully seen. Any help? I never faced such thing previously. Please help.

I got a secondhand T-Mobile MDA and while the screen works fine - the touchscreen works, there's no cracks or anything - everything is colored wrong...
It's like if you suddenly decreased the color depth on your desktop version of windows... everything goes to a washed out version of the proper color. In addition, there's kind of... lighter stripes that flicker across the screen when it's displaying colors.
Since I can't really explain it that well, I took a video of it. It's a little flash video like you find on YouTube... I also have a raw MPEG of it here for people that don't have Flash.
That's the default Windows Mobile theme in the video... the blue is washed out, and you can see the stripes flickering on the right as I move the slide up and down. While there's little "arc" of discoloration across the top some times, the stripes are usually the major discoloration on the screen.
There seems to be little problems when displaying things with a primarily white background except for washed out colors. The little water damage stripe under the SIM is still there and white.
Is this fixable? How much is it gonna cost me?
Anybody have any ideas? Would a new LCD fix this?
Maybe it's a flex?
Can't tell much from Your video
i also have this problem... it just happens when i slide my phone up...
Hi everyone i have one problem.
I have zopo c2, chinese mtk6589 device with 5" full hd display. Few days ago i dropped it and it landed directly on front screen. Vertical white lines started to appear and everything was covered with ghosts as i was swiping or opening apps. Today i spotted there are no more vertical lines but my screen is still kinda of blurry. Should i replace LCD or is it possible that some cable disconnected or maybe something else? Any help is appreciated.
EDIT: Vertical lines and ghosting returned when i charged battery
Yep. squares, allot of them.
i had this issue since day one with kitkat, lollipop didn't help.
i can't view or edit .doc or .pdf if it has squares on it, also some website's. Just watching a picture with squares (like in attachment) make it lag or unresponsive until i turnoff the screen and then rotate it, whene i rotate the phone the issue will disappear.
Worth noting that on sun light i can see vertical lines of the digitizer. like in this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2590622
My theory is that when the squares line up with the digitizer lines it make it unresponsive...
also the same issue as this video, it's a very rare issue whene the screen is unresponsive on the top right if it's flat on a table. but when i touch it anywhere it becomes responsive again

if anyone have the same issue, or can help me solve mine, is welcomed with his suggestion.
Hey what's up!
I have a problem I do not know if it has been asked before (I certainly have searched and have not found anything).
The fact is that since last week has appeared a tiny speck in the upper right corner of the screen and gradually has been extended, as you can see in the picture.

A part of changing the LCD, do you know any solution? I tried the video colors and it seems that instead of improving, it has worsened.
Thanks!

It shouldn't be full screen. The black bars are intentional. The screen is 19.5:9. You're taking pictures in 16:9. If Lens and others show full screen, then they are either cropping after, or the images aren't being taking in 16:9 ratio.
