Just got my S7 Edge and noticed that the letter a on the keyboard is rather unresponsive at times. I'm danish so I have three extra letters which pushes the a out into the "edge side".
Pressing the q button just above shows no issue.

Hi guys...
I'm using the T-Mobile MDA Touch Plus and encountered this problem today. When I want to write the body of a new text message in XT9 mode, usually when you hold the slide out keypad's key down say "the 6 key", the number 6 is inserted into the message.
Well today, that stopped and I don't know why. Using the slide out keypad to type alphabets work fine but no matter how long i hold the keys down, the number are no longer inserting.
I also discovered that when I hold the *XT9 key down, the menu which usually appears on the right soft button area no longer appears too.
Any experts care to help me out here?
The soft keyboard on screen works fine though and usualy the slide out keypad to dial numbers to make a phone call works fine too. So i doubt its the hardware at fault...
so ive had this problem before and i miraculously fixed it some how,
so ive done a little googling and seen that im not the only one with this problem, while the phones in portrait, returning from standby the down button seems to be pressed as it scrolls through the today screen insanely, but as soon as i press the up button it stops the scrolling. although the down button it self on the front doesnt work.
now in landscape mode with the keyboard, what would be the down button in portrait is scrolling to the left continuously until i press what would be the up button in portrait but is the right key on the directional pad.
i guess this is a important key factor here...the up, down, left, right arrows are working just fine on the keyboard
its not so annoying that i have to press the up button once to stop the scrolling, i mean i can live without the down button for now til i get a different phone, but as soon as i hit the power button to put the phone into stand by this "scrolling" restarts, so as soon as i hit the power button phone starts scrolling, and it takes, many many attempts for the phone to go into stand by due to this annoying glitch, im not sure if its a registry problem as to i cant find the down button in the registry
i cant seem to fix it like i have previously, i fixed it twice previously, some how.....
if anyone has solved the problem to the wing scrolling down problem, help me out here...
Has anyone noticed that the black home button (located at the bottom edge of the screen, 2nd from the left) isn't as responsive as the other 3? I have Haptic feedback enabled and when I spam the button at the home screen, it doesn't vibrate as much as the other 3.
this has been posted previous times already did you even search? you need to take your phone back and get a new one its defective lots of people are having that problem
Nope, didn't think that it was a prevailing problem. Thanks for the info tho. Will be at the store tomorrow.
Hi everyone, my new S7 edge (1 day old) is having an issue with it's home button, if the button is pressed and there is some directional force towards the left (any right handed user does this), the button sticks for about half a second then pops back up with a loud click.
Does anyone know a quick fix for this issue?
Cheers

Return it would be the best option... It will end up driving you nuts... My first S7 edge had a home button that had to be pressed right in the middle... If I didn't push in the middle it wouldn't register....
Galaxy S7 edge
Hi Guys,
I have a galaxy s7 edge which is almost two months old now.
Recently I noticed that the home button especially the left side of it , when you click it , it doesn't register until it is pressed a little hard.
This ain't the issue with the middle of the button or right side.
I purchased the phone from UAE on a vacation and hence it doesn't have any warranty in my country.
Is it normal or is this an issue?
I'm having this issue as well. Mostly when I press the home button the left side gently it doesn't register.
Everything else is great with the phone though so not sure if it's worth me returning it with warranty though...
