miui officially supports only his own mi devices.. all other devices are supperted by the porting team.. try to read some threads in the english miui forum and you'll figure out lots of information

Respected Developers there is a phone known as motorolla G4 play which has the same chipset snapdragon 410 and they have ported and successfully booted android O.

There is also a lengthy. rather heated discussion elsewhere but I didn't find it right now. Having said that, sooner or later it might happen. To make it "sooner", a good way is to dig in and see if there is a wasy to help in the process.

Cmon dude! Why nobody gets that Mi A1 may have the same hardware as Mi 5X but the LTE is what many people prefer over 5X! Also its always good to have a choice from the variety of ROMs!
5X got A1s ROM nearly after month!
