HI all,
I tend to buy a Redmi 2, however I wonder about vibration. Someone said that the vibration is too weak, but the reports seem old a little bit (with MIUI v6, I guest).
So could I ask if the vibration problem is fixed in currently firmware (MIUI V7 or CM13)? Or is it totally hardware problem and unfixable?
Many thanks
Redmi 2 has appreciable vibration strength( I am using at 50%,on a CM based ROM )
It have 3 vibration Intensity mode .. Light , Medium and Strong ..
But I think they ought to provide somewhere mid between Light and Medium , cause Medium feels more and light feels low .. allowing us to set Custom Value will be appreciated, that reminds me you can use Kernel Adiutor to Set the Value of vibration Intensity as much as you want ...

My light sensor does not work so my auto brightness has been no existent. I want to know if this is a known issue with Custom roms for 4.5.9.1 and the ambient light sensor. I am currently running R9 V5. Thank you.
Dont really know. My auto brightness gets stuck on high when i go from bright place to dark sometimes. Ive been leaving it on low for now. I have a friend who is anxiously waiting to dig into the kernel when gets his laptop running. I advise to leave it on low for now and manually put on high when used in sun. Im on a custom stock rom anxiously awaiting cyan7 and hoping little quirks such as this get ironed out or fixed.
I voided my warranty.
I guess the first question is whether this happened to you on a stock rom for 2.3.4. If not, then the problem may be your build.
I have a tab 10.1 3G version. and i have tried both stock iCS and CM9and CM10 wen they came out. and i have observed few things.
the brightness of the screen is much more higher at the least slider level than in the CM9 or CM10. wat i mean to say is at the least brightness the stock ICS is much more brighter. any particular reason for tat?
thanks in advance.

I have tried ganbarou which is based on CM9 and also noticed this. While the lower brightness may be saving power I didn't really like the auto brightness settings, it was too dark and unreadable in many situations(basically any situation except dark room). So, my guess is Samsung limited the brightness to a reasonable values.
That's what I don't like in most custom roms, the devs are trying to squeeze the **** out of the devices, making them achieve amazing things but also making them pretty unpleasant for general use.
I'd prefer not to stress my eyes, instead of having +30mins of battery life.
cheers
The increased brightness range is better. The lower brightness is good for night time reading.
Today was Sunday, and I spent almost all day behind my phone, trying to figure out what's the problem. I flashed Perseus, was very very happy with it, then came an incoming call, and it seemed the ringtone volume is lower than before. Before I was on stock kernel. Then I did some testings and read some stuffs. I tweaked S Tweaks and increased the Speaker amp to +10 . The volume definitely increased but not up to that mark in comparison to stock Kernel and 4X + Moderate gain under X Loud in Viper. Then I was scared, still I increased it up to +16, which is max in S Tweaks, and then it somehow matched that tiny increase I did in Viper with Stock kernel. I kept playing with the Bands, nothing. Then I flashed Adam kernel, same! I am now back with Stock kernel, with that little Viper gain, which is literally so loud that I tend to turn it down, but I would really like to know what's wrong! I have never used Stock kernel for more than a week after purchasing a new phone, I didn't need to use frankly. Siyah with S2, Red Pill with Note 2 and all, they were perfect, with the additional features, and keeping the important features unchanged. What's happening now? What's wrong? I would like an elaboration on this.

Hi mate don't know about your kernel problem but you can flash this might help

Just wondering if it is only my device or others too. On my device, I have noticed that any stock rom or rom based on the 4.2.2 stock (for example Maladus rom) has a higher maximum brightness and more accurate color in comparison to any CM11 rom or rom based off the AOSP (including AOKP).
I have flashed multiple roms and all the roms based upon AOSP have the same effect; a warmer, less accurate color and a less maximum brightness whereas the stock rom or roms based upon the stock seem to be much brighter at say 80 or 90% brightness. In my case it feels as if the contrast or gamma has been bumped to a much higher value. Has anyone else ran into this issue?

Don't know about brightness, but color accuracy seems to be the same on both AOSP and stock.
It is somewhat warm but not too much, it really annoyed me at the beginning but I learned to live with it, it is not that bad
It might seems to be a stupid question. But with the stock pie rom the brightness level is lower than it was in Oreo which makes it almost unusable in direct sunlight. Does the custom roms use a different brightness level or not?
