I was trying to flash a custom ROM in my Lenovo A6000. I rooted the phone with KingRoot. Then using Rashr I flashed the twrp img. I went to recovery and then I made a backup using TWRP's Backup option. I rebooted the phone and again went to recovery Then tapping the Wipe option I went toAdvanced Wipe where I checked the boxes next to Data, System, Cache, Dalvik. After that I went to the Install option where I chose the ROM.zip file from the sd card. The installation failed, I tried to install again but it failed again ( I must have had a bad copy of the file ). Since I had already wiped the system I went to the Restore option, chose the backed up file to restore. The restore was successful. But when I tapped the Reboot button after a couple of seconds the device screen went off and the phone kept on vibrating continuously after short intervals. I tried pressing the POWER button for a long time--> keeps on vibrating. I tried going to recovery by pressing the hardware keys--> still keeps on vibrating. I tried connecting to the computer after taking out the battery and replacing it. NOthing seems to work. It keeps showing the same problem. Please Help...

First of all " don't panic ", its nothing. First remove your battery and then insert it. Now press "VOL UP + VOL DOWN + POWER KEY" together and leave the " POWER KEY " once the lenovo logo shows up. You'll enter into recovery. Now, wipe the cache, dalvik and reboot. If still doesn't boot, then wipe data, android secure too (not system). This will surely do.
And, mention the error you faced while installing the new ROM, like Error 6 or anything. If you were on stock kk earlier, then to flash Lollipop ROMs, you'll have to flash stock LP ROM first.

I had tried that too. But the only response I get are those continuous vibrations. The screen does not light up at all. No, its not a display problem. I can't do anything with the phone, can't enter recovery. The only response to whatever I do plug in power supply, press the power key, press the key combination to go into recovery, plug into laptop and such are those vibrations.

No. I can't. As I said, the only response I get from the phone is those vibrations. No matter what I do.

Same problem with me, I was browsing facebook and suddenly my phone's screen blacks out. I can access recovery ,my device is detected by PC normally and can access all files, but display blacks out and I cannot see anything.
If I boot phone normally, It starts vibrating periodically. Maybe, because of Bootloops.
(Funny thing is, I can feel everything but cannot see anything on my phone)
Which version of Android was before?

Did you installed the Qualcomm drivers mentioned in that post..? And was your device listed in Device Manager on pc, as "Qualcomm Predloader stuff..."... ??
I've experienced the same problem. I simply headed to the service centre ang got my display changed for free.(as under warranty)
Sent from my Lenovo A6000 Plus
in my experience, if your PC can recognize the device as qualcom.. you should go with the file.
if your device still vibrating countinuosly.. you should do test point
if test point not working. please go to lennove service center.
I also faced that problem when doing an ota update of MiUi and the I had to change the motherboard . Since it was under warranty I got it replaced for free.
did you got any solution

They will.
No need to go to customer care.
Power off the phone .
Press vol down and power button and it will boot into boot loader
Connect the USB cable .
Go to ed300's post and download the tarp recovery for lollipop and KitKat.
If the base ROM on which u have flashed the new ROM was KitKat use the KitKat twrp.
Else use the lollipop twrp.
Extract the required zip file.
After connecting the USB after that click on the file named Flash . after its completed click on Boot file .after that's also done again click the Flash file .
After that it will show (waiting for device )
And the phone will boot to the recovery mode and u can flash the ED300's ROM I prefer CM12.1
Good luck.
I have hard bricked my Lenovo A6000 Plus, no fastboot, no recovery, not detected by pc either, just phone is vibrating continuously after pressing the power button. I have seen some tutorials of other Phone brands of how to test point their motherboards, Plz help me to give command or test pin my motherboard chipset as well, I don't know where it is located exactly. Thanks.
Greetings.
A few hours ago I wanted to install a ROM (Don't even remember which rom it was, so that's great) onto my phone.
I do what everyone should do and open up google and search for a tutorial.
Step 1 was something like "The most important thing you need to do is make sure you have a backup in case your phone soft bricks", so of course that I made a backup.
I download twrp manager, give it permissions and go to backup.
I leave the defaults checked thinking that it's probably good as it is and press backup. After a minute or so I notice that it won't boot up.
So I press the power button. It starts, nothing is wrong, after the loading screen however everything stops.
Everything from the UI app to the bluetooth app, to facebook twitter and youtube. Literally, "unfortunately *EVERYTHING* has stopped"
Even holding down the power button and pressing "emergency" mode brings up a message saying "emergencymodesomething has stopped"
I try getting to the boot menu, holding down power, home and volume up, I see the samsung screen and remove my finger from the volume up button, after a few seconds screen goes black, not responding.
From what I've seen in the "everything has stopped" type of power up, connecting it to my phone through USB does not seem to give any results.
Anything I can do that does not include buying a new phone, or anything at all for that matter?
Oh forgot to say it is a samsung galaxy A5, not the one with the fingerprint and whatever but an older version.
Trying to do a factory reset with adb won't work because it says "device unauthorized"

Hi
Yesterday I got my axon 7 and it worked perfect.
Now I was wanted to change the language
So I downloaded as file that in my language
And I tried to install him .
And it worked by the adb software when the axon connected to the computer
So I went to the application in my phone and changed it to my language after USB debugging and developer option is worked
Then the phone was changed to my language and crashed
Now the axon just show the start logo and stuck in restart loop. so I tried to do few thing through your forum , but nothing helped ..
I also cleared the cache through recovery mode but it also didn't help
Its like the axon can't upload the operating system
Thanks a lot for who will help me here.
Also if it possible to send money through PayPal
And if it's legal I will send 30$ to the first that will help me solve this problem
Can you share the link to the file you downloaded ?
Is it compatible with the version of your phone ?
If you can enter in recovery it's enough to save it.

Yea the reason it happened is because I installed wrong adb language on my axon through USB debugging and external app
Now it possible to get into recovery
I just don't know what to do next
I tried few things but I always keep getting errors
You can try to install TWRP.
You will have a lot of option.
There is no option to restor the phone in the official recovery ?

The name of the driver was London marshesll something

And it gives me error massage
I would be more then happy to give someone 30$ now..
Just that my axon will work
Did you root your phone, or just use ADB to sideload a file? If it's wasn't rooted/unlocked, then a factory reset should take care of it, as nothing done via ADB in that setup would impact the system partitions.
If you used the unofficial bootloader unlocking, then you'll have to follow other people's restore guides.
As @TeutonJon78 mention, a factory reset will do the job youan boot to stock recovery using adb
Code:
adb reboot recovery
Or doing it manually,
- Completely Power off your device
- Press and HOLD Volume UP and Power button.
- once you boot to recovery just use your volume buttons to navigate FACTORY RESET.
- Reboot System
holding up and down at the same time. get to fastboot mode it says secure boot: enabled and device state: locked. then i entered to recovery mode, and press on "wipe data/factory reset" (said it was successfully finished). then i pressed on "reboot system now". still its stuck on the zte logo

I will be honest man. I bricked mine too. Everybody has a step by step guide that they say works. I followed them step by step. They did not work. I have an RMA open on my phone and fedex is taking it to ZTE. Use the warranty. Until Zte puts online the full factory images for us to use there is no real way to fix these things.

Were you playing around with the rooting/unofficial bootloader? It should be very hard to actually brick the device without doing those things, and nothing a factory reset shouldn't fix.
If one's playing around with unofficial modifications, then they should take all precautions to make sure to know how to recover the device before hand. There's still a lot of moving pieces between potentially faulty TWRP bugs and no image file.

Did you let it sit for awhile? First runs after a factory reset can take up to even 10 minutes to boot fully. If it still doesn't work again, check if the recovery menu has another option like wipe cache/davlik, which maybe also needs to run if they have a bug in the recovery code about resetting data. If you hadn't touch anything using the tools on this forum, and none of the factory reset/wipe data/wipe cache stuff helps, then you probably have a faulty phone. Just sideloading an app shouldn't be able to corrupt a locked system partition.
The OP of this thread hasn't yet clarified if he was just sideloading files on a normal system (which should be totally fixable unless his phone has an actual flash problem) or if he had been tinkering with other things first.

Which guide did you follow? A Factory reset form within the stock software or stock recovery shouldn't cause that problem at all, as it should only be wiping data, cache, Davlik, and potentially the "media" portion of the internal storage.

Hi Guys,
Long story short, I got the root to work at first, but I was having issues with PlayStore as I couldn't install most of the apps. Then I tried wipe data and restored TWRP backup which didn't fix the problem and lost SuperSU. I tried to reflash SuperSU and failed. Lastly, I did a factory reset via the OS's settings menu and my phone would never boot into System again. I tried using LGUP tool to flash the TOT tool, but it doesn't find my device. My phone is now officially softbricked. Any help is appreciated. I will donate if that is needed
Thanks

I haven't run into this on my V20, but a couple times on my V10 when i'd softbricked my device and couldn't seem to revive it (even with ToT or KDZ files on LGUP) i was able to recover with LG bridge. Basically you go to the third tab titled "software update" but instead of selecting software update, select the "update error recovery" link at the bottom right. It takes awhile but i think it downloads and restores files (or maybe partitions) that other recovery methods don't. Give it a try and let us know if it worked.

Tried running the "EasyRecowvery.cmd" and it loads fine. I go into twrp and do the format data and then attempt to run any of the options and I get a "This Device doesn't look like a T-Mobile V20. Proceed anyway? I stop and can't get anything. But when it initially ran it said SUCCESS when locating adb .exe and found the device as well omni_h918.
No matter what it continues to go into TWRP. ANY ANY ANY additional help would be great. I want to return this device to T-Mobile before my 14 days is up. Please help out if you can.

I had this issue on my Verizon variant the other day and I tried everything I could think of. I flashed roms, restored backups, redid the dirtysanta method several times, flashed the boot images in fastboot, and nothing worked. What finally did work (can't make any promises but this worked for me): steps below
*restore your full stock backup (if you have one)
*after the backup is restored, in TWRP, go to mount, and mount the system. Check the box and press the mount USB storage button
*power off device
*use the button combo to boot into TWRP. It's volume down + power, as soon as you see the LG logo let go of power for a breif moment and press and hold it until a white screen comes up. Choose yes for the next two options. This will bring you back into TWRP.
*now go back to mount and check system, and press the mount button, and reboot system.
This got me out of TWRP and booting normally. I haven't had an issue since.

Hi Guys,
Long story short, I got the root to work at first, but I was having issues with PlayStore as I couldn't install most of the apps.
Thanks

You, sir, are a lifesaver. I jumped through all the same hoops as you and was actually starting to panic a little, as the last time I got into a similar string of unsuccessful fixes, I managed to hard brick my Note 2. This worked like a charm on my Verizon variant (the backup part was seemingly unnecessary, as my backup was toast by this point). You definitely have my thanks!

Awesome. I was getting a little worried myself when I was stuck in TWRP because I was trying everything I could think of.
I didn't think the backup part was necessary but it's one of those things where you mention everything you did just in case.

I had some trouble following this at first but it indeed worked.
My v20 was stuck in TWRP (3.0.2-1) after forgetfully hitting OK on the System Update, it was running H91810q and was previously rooted.
I first backed up my phone in TWRP to my SD card and then copied that to my laptop.
In TWRP: Mount > System, I have 3 buttons on the bottom: 'Mount USB Storage', 'Select Storage', and 'Disable MTP'. If I choose 'Mount USB Storage' it goes to the next screen and the only button is Unmount. I cannot get it to shutdown without pulling the battery.
What is missing here is to press Unmount go back to the main TWRP menu, then Reboot > Power Off.
I held Power+VolumeDown, released Power while still holding volume down and I got the white Factory data reset screen. I choose Yes on the next two options to perform the factory reset.
Then it restarted and went back into TWRP. I choose Mount, selected System, pressed Mount USB Storage, then Unmount, Reboot, System.
It booted and took a while since I also flashed the H91810t rom to do an upgrade at the same time from here:

Interesting all my apps, and settings were still on the phone.
THANK YOU FOR SAVING MY PHONE, TIME AND $ !!!

Glad you got it working. As far as the issue with the instructions that could be down to a change in the newer versions of TWRP. I posted this 16 months ago and many new versions of TWRP have come out since. I remember trying to be extremely accurate in my instructions but it is possible I screwed up. Been too long ago and I can't remember now.
First it started right into Odin Mode. After holding Volume Down and Power to exit it, the screen went black (as expected). However, afterwards it won't boot up again. Tried normal boot, recovery and download. Removed the battery and put it again, didn't work. Also tried various cables and outlets. Tried the sequence for download mode (holding Power + Volume Down + Home, then pressing Volume Up - even if it didn't show anything on screen) and connected it to my PC. The computer played the sound as if a device was connected, then after some seconds Windows said that the USB device was not recognized. Odin did not recognize it either. Samsung 300K tool doesn't work as well. Do you have any suggestions, please? It's quite urgent.
Try installing official device drivers Inform us after that what's happening. Thank you

I can't. It's not booting at all. Never rooted it or changed its ROM.
You mean it doesn't even show download mood or recovery mood?

Yes, not even the charging battery logo when it is powered on. Tried using an USB Jig, fails as well.

I'm sorry to say that.. It's a hardware related issue... U need to take it to service center to repair Thank you
I've flashed marshmallow stock on stock lollipop via Odin but after completion J500H boots and immediately resets or off after first boot screen appears. so please help that why this problem is here???
Also please tell that custom ROM can be installed on the J500H or not ( bootloops and restart issue immediately)
Is it possible to flash again? If yes...
Then first wipe delvik cache then flash again, before flashing make sure to untick auto reboot on odin's log option... After flashing done don't reboot immediately first wipe delvik cache then restart...
If it doesn't allow you to flash then u need to take it to service center...
Yes it's possible to install custom rom using Odin but sometimes it fails if usb debugging is not enabled! You can search on Google for that or any thread here.
