Phone is stuck in bootloader - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a Verizon Note 3 which I bought a while ago. I have never rooted or otherwise messed with anything like that on this phone, it's all completely stock in that regard. In the process of trying to fix and recover my phone, I did the powered off version where, while your phone is off, you hold the home button and the volume up button and then hit the power button to get the little recovery boot menu. While in that menu I accidentally click on the "reboot to bootloader" option and now my phone is stuck on a screen that says "Downloading... Do not turn off target !!" I have been stuck in the screen for quite a while now with no change and I don't know what to do since it tells me not to turn off the phone and I am scared it will mess up my phone if I do. Is there anything I can do to fix this without killing my phone somehow?
Edit: My phone was fully updated as far as I know to lollipop.

Just power it off/remove battery. No problem because you did not flash anything.

[Q] Download mode boot loop

Hi, I'm hoping someone can advise on a strange issue I have with my phone. If I power down the phone then it powers back up in download mode. If I take out the battery then put it back in, the phone will automatically power up in download mode.
While in download mode, if I hold the power down for 5 seconds to shut down the phone then quickly hold vol down + home + power then the phone loads to the "Warning!! a custom OS can cause critical problems in phone and installed applications" screen. From here, I can press vol down to "Cancel (restart phone)", after which the phone boots normally and everything appears to be fine. All the buttons work perfectly and there doesn't appear to be anything else wrong at all. However, powering down will again cause the phone to go into download mode.
The phone was previously rooted, but while trying to repair the issue I have flashed a stock firmware and tried a factory reset. This doesn't appear to have changed anything though.
In download mode the Binary Status is now Samsung Official and the System Status is Official too (which I'm hoping means I won't be refused a warranty repair). I think the phone may have got a little damp at the Reading festival last weekend, but I find it strange that nothing else appears to be wrong with the device apart from this weird boot loop.
Any suggestions to try something before I take it back to the shop would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

[Q] Please help, phone works normally, but, getting Stuck on fastboot and recovery

Dear experts,
Phone model: Karbonn A9+
Rom: Custom Rom Hyperion Skyfall
When I hold the power button, the phone turns on and off, No problems with that.
However, when I press volume Up+Power, I get a green screen saying FASTBOOT at the top left corner and that’s it. Nothing happens from that point.
when I press volume Up+Power, I get a green screen and holding the buttons past that I get a red screen saying RECOVERY at the top left corner and that’s it. Nothing happens from that point.
However, when I press volume down+Power, I get a black screen saying ENTRY QPST DOWNLOAD at the top and that’s it. Nothing happens from that point.
I have to remove the battery to turn my phone off.
Moreover, I tried a factory reset erasing internal and external storage, after erasing when the phone is rebooted and gets stuck in the start-up screen. I removed the battery and powered on the mobile ,no problem at all the phone turns on but not resettted.
What I did?
Tried to install latest CWM through recovery, updated it but I pressed something instead of restart your device.
What should I do to make everything work again? I am a noob in Android, please be extra patient and illustrative
Many thanks in advance

Cannot boot even into download mode after changing Fast Dormancy setting

Hi,
I thought I could enter the Hidden Menu and change the Fast Dormancy setting into disabled, so I did it and wanted to reboot my phone. The phone turned off, and was doing its boot up procedure, while it started behaving abnormally. The LG logo popped up for about 5 seconds (so it didn't leave the bootloader), turned off for 10 seconds and then again the whole process repeated. I thought that was a bootloop, so I turned it off, entered Factory Reset menu, chose appropriate options and waited for the reset, but the phone didn't perform the action. Then I tried to get into download mode, but to no avail - the phone kept going with bootloop. I'm still struggling to do this; the only menu I could get into was the Factory Reset one.
Could anyone help me get my phone back into function?
D802, 20G stock
Thanks in advance!
That's weird. I always disable fast dormancy after a reset or a new rom flash and I've never had any issues.
What comes instead of download mode? If nothing, Are you sure you're doing it correctly?
Press and hold the power button for 10-15 seconds.
Plug the phone into the cable, then press and hold volume up and plug the cable into the computer. That should trigger download mode.
Thank you for your help.
I know that's weird, I've entered Download mode numerous times using the combination that you provided and can't do it this time. The strangest thing actually is that the factory reset menu does show up (though it does nothing), while Download mode does not - it seems to be actually unaffected by using the combination and is still stuck in a bootloop. I have no idea what steps should I take in order to recover my phone.
I forgot to mention that the phone wasn't even rooted then, which makes it even more mysterious...
Ouch! Well what comes up when you enter download mode? Fastboot? Black screen?
If you're still covered by warranty take it for a replacement. I doubt fast dormancy alone has messed up your device. If it truly has, then try booting the phone without a sim card.
Normally when I insert the USB cable with vol up button pressed, the LG logo shows up, then the notification of Download mode and finally the Software Update screen. But this time, only the LG logo shows for about 5 seconds, as if I normally booted it using Power button and does not get me into neither Download nor Fastboot mode.
Well, I took a look at other options in this hidden menu, but still, could it brick that hard even then?
I doubt whether I'm still eligible for a replacement, as the device had been rooted already (though it's not at the moment). The whole process also takes quite a lot of time, which is why I wanted to avoid it. Is there any method to bring it back to life?
I wanted to revive my phone using the method linked with flashing the whole partitions onto my phone, but Ubuntu didn't even notice that any drive was connected...
Am I doing something wrong? I mean e.g. is the combo Vol Up + cable still the same in D80220G? Is there any other way of accessing the phone through my computer? Can I somehow stop this bootloop from continuously happening? Doesn't the fact that I can get into Factory Reset menu help in any way?
Thanks for your help in adavnce!

Galaxy S4 i9500 Bootloop without Recovery Mode

Hi,
The problem I have is really very common to most Samsung Galaxy users, but I haven't found any solution to my particular problem. Well, basically my Samsung Galaxy won't get out of bootloop. It just won't go beyond Samsung Galaxy SIV I9500 screen. The phone never did this before this. The phone did, however, rebooted occasionally by itself when running normally.
My phone is rooted, but it runs the official version of Lollipop for Galaxy S4. I had to factory reset my phone one day, and I decided it to reset from the Recovery Mode. After successfully resetting the phone, it booted as usual. Soon after it suddenly turned off, and went into this complete bootloop and would not stop until I remove the battery. Whenever I insert the battery back in, the phone starts by itself, without me pressing any button, and goes in the bootloop again. I can only enter the Download Mode that too for a couple of seconds. When entering the download mode I don't have to press the power button.
Is there any solution to this? I am assuming that my power button suddenly failed. The power button is definitely not stuck. I have opened the entire phone and cleaned the motherboard, and rechecked, it still showed the same problem.
Really appreciate any kind of help.
Hardware issue. Lightly tap the side of the S4 against a table and see if that temporarily frees up the button. Regardless of the end result, you'll need to replace the power button.
Hi,
No need power button to boot in recovery.
Just hold Home+Volume up should do the trick.
@Yoanf_26: How do you expect the phone to get into recovery without turning it on? Volume up and Power are all that's needed to get into recovery. It's the Home button that is optional.
Try a different battery (ask a friend or something if possible). I had similar issues on an i9100 lately. It could only boot to download/recovery mode and was even producing write errors. Looked like brickbug first but was bad battery indeed. It starts slowly with weird behavior and you think you've just messed the rom and just need to reset but it gets worse and worse until you're stuck with download mode only. If you have a spare battery in range its worth a try for sure.

Hello.
I already to start my S4 without power button must just with Volume up and home.
I test with Volume up with power, and my S4 start to recovery.
Differents methods are good to start to recovery. May not for all S4
Guess what? You have a faulty power button, because being able to start the device in any mode without the power button is simply not possible. I tried it just now. Also, if Samsung themselves require the power button to enter recovery or download mode it's illogical to not need it on what is (broadly) the same device.
My power button is good. I test with a custom recovery.
May be not possible with stock. I don't test with stock.
I'm not running stock anything on my I9505. TWRP 2.8.7.0 and CM 12.1 Optimized (currently) installed here. To access Download Mode requires Volume - and Power (Home optional). Accessing Recovery requires Volume + and Power (Home optional, again). Safe Mode requires pressing Volume - and Power, and holding down Volume - throughout the boot process.
As you can see, all functions require power. The fact yours doesn't is not normal.
Maybe, but my S4 is good.
If you think so, who am I to try and persuade you otherwise? When you do encounter an issue with that button, just think back to this thread rather than making a post about it. That way we can both avoid the inevitable "I told you so" that will come out of my mouth.

HTC U Ultra stuck in reboot. HELP!!!

Hey guys,
So here it goes. Phone was getting really slow, so I did a factory reset on it. Worked pretty fine for a few days and then suddenly yesterday phone started freezing while starting. Just get to see the HTC Logo but thats it. I have not unlocked the bootloader since I never felt the need to root my phone.
I have absolutely ZERO experience in rooting a phone or flashing the ROM. Please provide me a dummy's guide to fix the darn thing and get it running back up.
P.S:- I have the 4GB/64GB version

hi,
press and hold volume down + power key until the phone start into fastboot mode
then chose with volume up/down the "reboot to bootloader" press power button, then a white screen with colorfull font appers
then chose "boot recovery mode" in the same way as before and press power button, then a screen with a red exclamtion mark appears,
now press and hold power button + press volume up key several times, a screen appers,
now chose "WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET" and press power key,
after this has finished maybe there is a reboot option, chose it and press power button
this should bring your phone back to life
if not, or your phone makes noise or huanging, press and hold volume down + power key until the phone goes into fastboot there you can power down
if your phone does not boot normal then your phone need to send into service...
