Hide apps in MM? - Verizon Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone know how I can hide unused apps in the app drawer on marshmallow like I can in lollipop?

Nova Launcher
Could change your home launcher to Nova Launcher from the Google Play Store.IT gives you the option to hide in the nova settings. Home launcher has way more customization than stock launcher. I prefer the pro version which gives me the option to use the gestures for certain apps. Click thanks if this helps!!

[Q] Hide Apps from the App Drawer?

In Launcher Pro (or any other launcher with a 3D App Drawer that doesn't suck), can apps be hidden? I don't mean apps like bloatware apps, I mean apps that I don't want others to see. Can they be hidden?
GO Launcher EX can do it. It's free and my preferred launcher app, but some people don't like it.

Launcher Actions on GO Launcher EX?

I've been using GO Launcher as my primary launcher for my NC. Sometimes, I switch to ADW Launcher EX to use Launcher Actions. You know in ADW you have this option to add a customizable button/icon in your homescreen to execute basic launcher actions such as the ff: Open App Drawer (must-have), Show/Hide Notification Bar, Show/Hide Dock Bar, Show/Hide Status Bar, Switch to Homescreen 1, 2, 3...etc. (my favorite!). These feature is not available in GO Launcher yet, and I've contacted the Go Dev Team about adding it in their future releases (hopefully). In the meantime, do you guys know of any workaround? I want to be able to have it in GO Launcher.

What so special about the GO Launcher that you have to use?
Why not using ADW Launcher, which has features that you like?
What has ADW Launcher missed?

I guess it's because GO Launcher is very user-friendly, and it has a nice interface.

Remove the google search bar without root nor custom launcher

Hello.
Is there any way i can remove the google search bar from the home screen of the yotaphone 2 without root and with stock launcher ? (any to "simply" uninstall it)
Thanks
I'd like also and don't want to root. I used Novalaucher to remove google search, but there were problems. Many things had disappeared! So, I came back to Google launcher
I'd also like to know if this is possible. I'd rather not have it on my home screen.
I also hate it. Maybe installing some other different launcher?
There's an option in nova launcher for this but I haven't tried it on the yota. It works on every other device I've tried though.

I've installed Nova launcher, removed the google bar and changed the menu color to AMOLED-friendly black. No issues by now

Things did not disappeared, when you change launcher, and Nova Launcher is a Launcher, all the widgets and so on are removed from the screens, you have to activate your widgets on the new launcher, you apps and widgets are still there, you just have to configure them on the new Launcher.
Nova Launcher is actually one of the best launchers, you can actually make a backup of your widgets and icons arrangements with it, Arrow launcher is also very interesting.
Keep in mind, when you change launcher you widgets locations icons, etc are reseted, so if you want to try a new launcher, you have to backup the launcher settings, Nova Launcher and Arrow Launcher has a backup function built in, Google Now launcher does not, you can use Titanium BackUp Manager to make a backup of any app and it's settings, including Google Now Launcher, but for that you would need Root.

HELP: Hide Navbar on S8 Touchwiz doesn't work after installing Nova Launcher

So I stupidly installed Nova Launcher just to try it out. Discovered the inability to hide the navbar on my homescreen problem (seriously teslacoil? not cool).
Spent ages searching for a way to get back to where I was.
Installed Nova Laucher Beta 5.4 beta 3 which allows it to be hidden whilst using nova laucher but still isn't hidden if I go back to touchwiz! I can see the hide button inside apps and it's working (navbar disappears, just swipe up yo see it) everywhere but the homescreen.
VERY frustrating. Anyone know of a fix for this?
I just want touchwiz back the way it was with the navbar hidden on the homescreen
EDIT: Just to be clear - Navbar was hidden on the homescreen using Touchwiz before I installed Nova Launcher. Isn't now.
Latest beta Nova launcher supports hiding the navbar.
Install it then go to settings > look & feel > notification bar. You will see it there.
Can't help you with touchwiz as I've literally never used it

Gestures and third party launchers

I'm thinking of getting the 6T but have a few queries.
I like the gestures but do they only work on the stock launcher or do they work ok in nova launcher for example? I tried the mate 20 pro and the gestures didn't work well unless the stock launcher was used.
How much customisation is in the stock launcher? Can app names be edited or flow into 2 lines? Can you make folders, what size grids are available etc?
And finally can you change the shelf to be the Google feed instead?
I'm using the gestures with Nova. No issues. T-Mobile 6t
The gestures are OS level, not launcher level. I'm also using Nova with my own custom launcher gestures and I've had no issues with inputting either sets of gestures.
Gestures are working with nova, but not as good as stock:
-on stock, when you go home, animation shrinks into an app icon
-on nova application shrinks to the center of the screen. Also homescreen icons are present on this animation, while nova appears when it is over. I hope, they will fix it.
