Is anyone having an issue downloading music from Google Play Music? I always download my music for when I am on the go, however, when I try to download my music it doesn't recognize I am hooked up to wifi even though I am. Any suggestions?

When i connect GT to PC after few minutes some music auto plays when connected to PC. And when i drop down the menu bar (Wifi, bluetooth, GPS etc...Bar) then the music stop playing anyone noticed that. This music is not in my music library. What i think is it's a system music which plays after GT connected to PC for several minutes. Need to know did it happen to someone else?
Yeah. Same thing happened to me after I rooted and went back and forth from stock to custom FW. It doesn't happen any more though. Are you jailbroken?
Yes jailbreak/rooted but music was playingeven before jailbreak
Do you have the winamp app? Same thing happened to me when I had it on my vibrant, it's a setting you can turn off

Hi there,
i am using my Nexus 4 with newest Android and Play Music. I uploaded my music and stream works nicely with pc and Android app. However, following problems occur:
1. Ratings from Android app are not synched to Play Music online. No matter whether i rate a track offline or while streaming via wifi at home, the rating does not show up in my internet library.
2. i activated the option to save music in cache when wifi is active and the device is plugged in. this does not work, the app only saves about 2 GB of tracks on my device when streaming via wifi. even when i leave my device plugged in and wifi activated for a whole night, the app does not save mor songs. i would like the app to constantly change the music on my device and use the whole 12 gb of free memory, so i have fresh music every day in my car. for example i listen to album a and b. later at home i want the app to delete the tracks from my device to download new tracks. i thought, that the setting i activated was just for this?
anyone hast the same problems?
The scenario:
I am streaming music to my bluetooth enabled stereo and I want to check out a video on YouTube or play a game at the same time.
What happens is that music stops playing and the sound goes out to the bluetooth.
What I want is to be able to stream music to bluetooth in the background, while the sound from youtube or games/ notifications goes to the phone speaker.
Is there a way to choose what sound goes where?
I know this is possible in windows, but surly this powerful device must be able to do the same?
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Try Power Amp, I saw it has a media routing option!

That's what I am using for music, and I want music to go through the bluetooth, so that part is all good.
But I want everything else to go through the phone speaker, and still let the music continue to play through bluetooth.

That is definitely "by design" in all Samsung phones (so as to not miss notifications). In my previous phone - i9300 - the fix was to use a custom kernel with that option.
My car (2014 Toyota) has a2dp media streaming from my note 3. it works fine but one thing is driving me nuts. If I am not streaming music or radio from my phone it just plays samsung installed musack on its own. in the absense of me streaming something it just streams on its own. I do not want this to happen. how can I figure out what app is streaming on its own and prevent it. Sometimes I only want the bluetooth to stream google maps.

Check which apps are running when you stream. I use poweramp for my music and just froze the other music apps using titanium backup. You can do this if you are rooted.
If not you can find where the stock music is stored and delete it so it has nothing to play.

I can't use Spotify Connect to login with the latest Spotify TV app on my Nexus Player. Is that a bug or something's wrong with my device?
Thanks.
