Hi,
I've recently bought a Cube i9 from Gearbest. Unfortunately it has an annoying "feature" - windows menu pops up when it wants, especially when I'm holding the tablet in my hands (not touching windows button). It also happens sometimes when I'm not touching the tablet at all, although much less often.
I'm afraid that the touch screen is defective, because when I'm disabling the "HID compliant device", the menu keeps popping up. It stops when I disable the touch screen (duh).
I also applied an update posted by Wootever here, but it did not help.
Anybody has any ideas?
As an alternative, is there a way to disable haptic feedback? Anything, that would stop the stupid vibrating?
Unfortunately I haven't seen any such bios setting...
Hey guys
I searched almost all the stores for Cube i9 touchscreen part but found nothing
Anyone knows somewhere?

Hi there,
I have an HTC Niki (hence posting here ) Security unlocked WM6 ROM on it. I love the phone, but I have a few annoyances, one was the 2 key defaulting to "c" and not "a" but I got that fixed.
Now my top annoyance is the HTC Action Screen when I slide open the device... I want it removed! AH! It's so annoying, I never use it! I know there is a checkbox to turn it off and have an even less useful WM screen... can I not just have nothing happen when I open the phone? Does anyone know how to stop it firing up a screen when I open it?
Also, my rom seems to wait ages or never turn off the touch screen buttons in call... are there any reg keys/settings I can tweak to set this to say 15/20 seconds into a call?
Thanks,
Mark
THIS post solved the 1st issue... now I'm just down to the touch screen during calls... 2/3!
I seem to have lost the vibration feature on my buttons. All tabs are checked. Not recovered even after a hard reset. Probably a pre-hard reset app I'd loaded affected this.
Does anyone know of a reg tweak or another fix?
Thanks for the help
Simon
Does your phone vibrates when called?
Hi - thanks for taking an interest. The problem seems to have corrected itself.
I had to re-load .net CF 3.5. Don't know if that had an effect but after the hard reset and a couple of soft resets the buttons vibrate again.
Thanks again

Sky740, did you experience this problem again? I have not installed any other ROMs but noticed it after I installed some other software, including hd tweak, advanced config, mobilmagic button stuff and .net framework 3.5. Did you use any of these items/think they anything to do with it? I hope my problem goes away with my first Upgraded ROM. I saw another thread with the same problem, he was about to send back for warranty, but maybe I talked him out of it. Any information helps,
Thanks!
HI Guys,
Did you manage to figure out what is causing this? I have just got my HD and have the same problem...the 'haptic' vibration from the buttons doesn't seem to work. it has been like this from out of the box and i have not added any additional progs (only got it unlocked from Orange!!). the vibration works for incoming calls so it doesn't seem to be an issue with the hardware.
Any advice would be appreciated!!

well
well, haptic feedback you mean, any button you press, on touchscreen and all? The only buttons that are suppose to have feedback without touch response application installed is the home, back, phone answer and hangup buttons at the bottom. There is a setting for those vibrate items. Try settings, personal, buttons, virtual button, see the vibration check mark? Does the Teeter game have vibration feedback on yours? If these things make a difference for you, you probably don't have a hardware issue, but if your getting any vibrate, should just be settings. Some of us on here are having major vibration hardware dysfunctions, just awful
Thanks for the response!!
Sorry to hear 'bout the major vib issues
I have tried all the 'virtual buttons' settings and the touch flo settings but i dont get any response from any buttons. i tried TEETER but there's no response from that either, but again i get vibration when I'm called.
Just thought someone may have noticed a 'glitch' somewhere, cause i initially noticed that if you apply a phonelock pin on set-up, it disables the use of the end-key to lock the phone..and i thought it may have been a software glitch or something....
New to the phone and win mob so soz if these are noob q's

hi there
i got a "small" problem with my touch hd. since im carrying the phone in my pocket, i installed "slide2unlock" to prevent the screen from unlocking itself in my pocket...
thing is - i got numerous complaints from people on my contact list, that i called them (sometimes multiple times in a row) without beeing on the phone... seemed to me that the screen unlocked (by accidently touching/pressing the botton on the top in my pocket) and the now unlocked phone started to do funny stuff like calling people...
problem is, that even with s2u installed AND active, my phone keeps calling people. one time, i held the phone in my hand, started the music player, locked the screen via the top button - and the next moment the screen lit up again (without me touching anything "touchable" like the side- oder top buttons - the screen was locked anyways) and my phone started to call a contact from my contact list.
there seems to be no real schema in what people are called. seems like the phone picks randomly one of my contacts on my list and calles him right away.
how do i stop this? im out of ideas here and this thing is really getting on my (and others) nerves...
According to your through description the problem might be even an exotic thing for WM - a virus. Try Kaspersky mobile
Have you installed any custom phone/dialer applications? Also any scripting applications like mortscript and a badly written script causing it... Also are you using AEButton plus. If so then may be a bug in one of those, still difficult to understand.
Otherwise looks like a real malware something not usually known in WM world

it "might" be the stylus....
the default in s2u2 is to ulnlock on stylus removal if your stylus get caught in you pocket
and pulls far enough out it'll unlock
but anyway check the unock options out in the s2u2 settings
beter yet stick a reply in the s2u2 post and see if anyone else hase a silmilar problem
TC,
Or uninstall that screen-lock application and see if the problem still occurs. If it still occurs, you now know it's nothing to do with the App and perhaps indicates a bigger issue.
Cheers.
Stupid question, but are you locking your screen by pressing and holding the Hang Up key in the bottom right corner?
I find the only way to fully lock the screen to stop the kind of activation you are talking about is to press and hold Hang Up key to lock it.
Then pull out the stylus to unlock, or press the Answer Key followed by the then-displayed unlock key.
Hi,
I have exactly the same issue.
My version of s2u2 is 1.62.
I just changed the option in s2u2 to avoid the phone to turn on when removing the stilus...I will wait and see
Hi,
Even after I have changed the option in s2u2 to avoid the phone to turn on when removing the stilus it seams my phone is still makes some unwanted callings...
Any idea???
Ive noticed that when the phone rings in my pocket and I attempt to pick it up, I often accidentally hang up since I touch the END-key on the way up from the pocket.
Ideally it should only be possible to answer the phone by sweeping finger across screen, but it turns out that also hardware keys are active once it wakes up on incoming call.
Anyone having same problems as me?
Is there a fix for it?
Thanks!
Here's InCall Lock - a program I made for my HD but it should work on any WM5+ device including HD2. Requires .Net 3.5.
Just tried this and couldnt get it to work :-(
Settings/Menu/All Settings/Lock/Display and choice Windows Classic.
not working
seams like all the programs available don t work with the leo, any solution please?
also deeply annoyed by this. Normally S2U2 was doing this on my HD, but even that fails with HD2
I prefer using the touch feedback sound when tapping on my screen. Now, the only thing that drives me a bit crazy is that whenever I touch the back button or the recent app button, I hear some kind of double popping sound instead of one clear pop. Funnily, it only happens on these two buttons, no where else. Tapping something on the screen is no problem. Even tapping the home button sounds normal.
By the way, I'm using the European model with the latest Nougat firmware.
I want to know if this problem is just on my device or if other people also hear this? Is there a quick fix maybe? Did it happen before in older firmwares? (I recently got this phone and I updated it straight to the latest version...)

I always use my device on vibrator and found out that the vibrator will vibrate twice sometimes when touching the buttons. What the hecc
This would mean that the actual problem is the detection of touches. I'd love to be a dev just to see how they implemented things like that one
ZTE made a lot of these hard coded stuff here and there... notif led, vibrator strength...
