will galaxy young uptade to kitkat ? wiil it get a new uptade by samsung? if yes . when will get

please people stop creatiing threads like this - im getting bored it now
There may be ics builds now the drivers have been released
asking for ETA and demands are against xda rules and is just annoying
who knows what will happen in 5yrs time but I expect people will have new phones by then!
Best thing people can do is stop posting things like when we have xyz and I cant wait bla bla bla and just wait for the people who are compiling ics/cm9 to do it
It will be ready when its ready and not before

hey! it is impossible to have kitkat on out Y
Reasons:
1. It requires 512mb of ram. Y have only 300mb.
2. The rom is much bigger than to our Y.

just buy new device if you want kitkat

if u want use cyanocream v4.. :silly:

you can use purekat xtreme rom
its currently on development forum

You can run kitkat in devices less than 512mb. Example: Galaxy Mini, Ace, Gio and Fit.

But it is a custom one and based on some aosp and cm's. If ever it have the updates for the Y but not the kitkat ones. It still gb.

sir, that is what i am talking about.... i'm enjoying my KK-cyanogenmod based rom. so let you think that samsung will release their software upgrade that is KK on our Y's. so expect the gb update on our Y's and i am not expecting upgrade from samsung anymore....

LOL no. We are still struggling with LP device specific bugs (this might sound rude but some "devs" break things while attempting to "fix" and never fix the broken things back maybe cuz they have no idea what they did).

You could use Stock without bugs if you want. I'm using AOSP 5.1.1 and i didn't face any bug

I AM using stock only, 23.26.8. I gave up on custom ROMs. One bug is fixed, another 5 magically come up. Sorcery!

I agree, maybe with android m i could "not care" about the bugs. Only if there is not oficial android m

CM 13 has some issues(Speaker) and 12.1 has some performance issues too and the developer have not updated them for almost 3 months and he cancelled the project so yeah no devs

does anyone knows why Dev jackeagle stopped the project?
and is it fair?

There are 3 roms currently on j510fn port which one is

Krako is the only that has r3 kernel all the others have r2

I did not like one of the three rums. The best cast is A5UX v8.1 . 7.1.1 the worst android

the best is RR oreo which didnt released yet for j5
i hope someone do it better than developing same port rom for same j5 with same kernel

Best rom is krako v2, the most optimised and fastest with good battery rom. And if u are on j500f the sim fix will be uploaded tomorrow.

i tested krako and shivas Rom, I can tell that they're both very good, but krako is on v2 and has a exclusive version of leviathan kernel, so IN MY OPINION, it's better. but I'm using shivas Rom because krako does not have data on my j500m.

On v1 data was working but on v2 were missing some libs for ril (becuz it was made especially for j500fn so thats why) that are very important for j500f and j500m so this is why there was that bug.
But now is fixed because of that fix.

Well there is one flashable zip u can try to make any rom go edition.
And android go came with oreo and since we dont have oreo till now so no go edition rom .

sudeep are proceeding now on oreo but it has a bug yet like ril etc. so for now it
cant out yet so wait till is stable

You have to wait very long time . the develpment of oreo for grand 2 has just started . GO Edition will arrive very late ( when developers want )
