Storage Manager
Based on original Windows CE Storage Manager.
Install CAB file and go to Settings->System->Storage Manager
This program allow you to manage your stores and partitions.
You can format and dismount store.
You can create new/delete/mount/dismount partitions in store.
If your partition have FAT file system, you can also format, run scandisk and defragmentator.
On format tool you can select cluster size.
Scandisk can find errors in your SD, CF card.
I didn't test it, because all my attempts to create a lost clusters on SD 32mb failed
If someone know how/can test it, please do it.
Defragementator is very slow, but it works, at least on my 32 mb SD card.
I try to defragment 1 Gb SD and wait during a hour, but it didn't finish it.
I don't recommend to do experiments with your system stores and partitions.
You can create several partitions on your SD, CF card and it works!
I create a four partitions on my SD 32mb card and it works!
I have SD Card, SD Card2, SD Card3 and SD Card4 now.
You should careful use this tool.
Hi,
Seems a very useful tool. Thanks for developing it. I'm installing now.
WB
thanx seems to be very useful
Would be interested to know if we could take a 4gb card which does not work on PPC 6700 and make 2 2gb partitions, would this work anyone???
interesting, gonna check this out.

I don't know, because I haven't 4 GB card.
Somebody should try it.
YO DUDE!!!!
This app ROCKS!!!!
Been having so much trouble with my 4gb SD (infact two 4gb SD cards, both would go corrupt if I loaded more than 2gb on them), but I tried your app, and now I have two 2gb partitions (well 1.95gb actually, but it'll do me nicely!!).
Finally, I can now watch the rest of heroes at work!!!
LOL
Thanks again

do you test it well?
try to fill both partitions by files and check it.
You should be sure that it works, otherwise you can have problems in future.
Yeah, have been testing the integrity of the partitions and the first one is fine, but the second one is still being silly, and Im still getting corrupt files on the 2nd one.
Not really sure what to do now!!!
(
Might try and create 3 partions, one 2gb, and two 1gb ones. Lets see what happens then!!
RR
Ok, just tried the 3 partition idea and.......it didn't work!!!
Was unable to create a third, so instead I have one 2gb and one 1.5 gb, as the cards total capacity is supposed to be 3.98 gb, but I thought I'd reduce it a little (Im sure I won't miss 400mb).
So just testing the second partition now, will report back with results.....
RR
oh...
I think, driver can't translate large offsets.
my pocket (Dell x51v) already have SDHC driver, isn't it?
I can try to extract it using my ROM Extractor, correct relocations and send to you for testing.
Possible it will work, so wait.
Great utility. Just what I need.
But I'm trying to run it on my 2GB card and it stops about half-way through. Any idea? Before it stopped it recovered about a dozen files (xxxxxx.chk). I've tried re-running it but it always halts at the same point
Recently I had removed a great amount of pictures off of my phone via pc. But now when I goto the picture app I get no previews(thumb nails) I went in the folder labeled album thumbnails and deleted everything there also deleted the dcim contents and wiped my phione and I still can't get any previews. I'm usling jf 1.3 adp1 but this seems more a general question...
any idea how to restore the thumbnails or has anybody had this problem yet?
I had the same thing happen to me. I read somewhere on one of these threads that you need to reformat the memory card.
So backup all of the information on the memory card, reformat it, and then add everything back to the memory card.
It's a pain but not seeing the thumbnails really got on my nerves.
hope this works for you.
yeah that is the easiest or sure fix was trying to avoid having to dump 8gigs then recopy it. also i formated my card for the rc29 "root" restore i didnt pay attention does anybody know if there is issues regarding pics and apps when either or FAT table are in use?
Update: When i got home and was copying my SDcard contents to my hd an error popped up... "corrupt file" blah blah blah. and i was able to delete the corrupted image and vola everything is working correctly again. Wow One single corrupted image can cause it to error on every single thumbnail???? wheres the God *** error handling ???? lmao. On a side note I use Astro and I had one other corrupted backup (apk) and it caused Astros backup/restore to fail. Is there Any Error Handling in Android? Shouldnt they all just throw an exception behind the scenes and pass over?
I apologize if this isn't in the correct forum. I wasn't sure since it's dealing with two dif os's.
Anyways, my question is Can I access files on the android jellybean partition from inside of wp7? I would like to be able to play movies, look at pics in wp7 that are in the android partition.
Also, what about vice versa? One last question. Wp7 seems to run very quickly, but Android seems to run pretty slowly. I assume its because it's running from the SD card. Is there any way that can be sped up to run at normal (fast) speed?
--- edit:
is it possible to put android on the nand, and wp7 on the sd so that the android os would be faster?
So.
Yes, you can access files from FAT partition on WP7. Few file explorers allow you to do that, just have a look at them and check if Storage Card folder works. They also allow you to watch videos, view images and play music, but forget about playlist support, subtitles or anything complicated. We don't have software to do that yet.
Vice versa is not possible since WP7 uses its own file system which Android can't see nor use.
Android will always run slower because it's an unoptimized piece of sh- I mean software. But you can try ROMs which take advantage of EXT4 partitions using NativeSD method - these are noticeable faster, no more waiting for minutes for apps to launch. You can also overclock CPU and use higher read ahead value for SD card (SD Speed Increase from Market).
Putting Android on NAND and WP7 on SD is not yet possible. It might be when Magldr 2.0 will be released (and it won't be really that anyway), but we don't know when.
thank you
thanks for the detailed and thorough explanation. i see that you are also using a dual boot. how slow/fast does your paranoidjellybean operate? i'm going to look into ext 4 and cpu boosts. i guess i will have to reinstall/delete everything in my android partition to do an ext 4? and i guess if i go ext 4 wp7 won't be able to read it? i'm going to look into it. i will update this with whatever info i find.

I'm going to try and use the roms you name in your signature area that you are using, and see if it works any better. what sd card are you using? I'm using a micro center micro sd class 6 16gb one. i'm getting a 8000ffff error in this wp7 rom when trying to get something from marketplace, and the droid is too slow. going to try the ext method for the droid. (can't dl apps on droid either!) so i will post what happens here.
---- edit
ok, i'm thoroughly confused by these instructions (somewhat vague in parts ) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1869673 Is there a video tutorial where it is shown what to do step by step to get a native sd setup for a dual booth with android sd and wp7? Do I just do it the same way I did before (install wp7, then reset / repartition, but instead of using fat32 i make a fat32 (how big) and an ext4 (or 2?) and which comes first (the fat or the ext) ? Afterwards, ALL partitions are primary?
i found this info for installing ext4. but do i create the ext4 BEFORE or AFTER i install WP7 ?
I'd say Paranoid JB is pretty fast using NativeSD (EXT) method. You will need to create an EXT partition first, but keep a FAT partition, because on EXT the ROM will keep only its own data and apps, the rest is still on FAT (just like now, but instead of data.ext and system.ext in ICS folder there is a partition just for those). Windows Phone 7 will not be able to read content of EXT partition, but it will not be needed, since there won't be anything worth looking at and all media files you will still keep on FAT. You will also have to make a backup of everything on your FAT partition because it will be lost, and fresh install will be necessary. You might want to backup your applications with Titanium Backup though.
For more information on partitioning please visit NativeSD thread.
I'm using a 8GB Transcend Class 4 card with 4GB FAT, 1GB EXT and rest (2.4GB) WP7FS. I don't have any errors with downloading apps on neither WP7 nor Android. Are you sure you entered that special code for Marketplace and logged into Google account on Droid?
furthermore
actually, i installed the hd20 rom you're using and had no problems with marketplace. at this point i have hd20 wp7 set up, activated, and working. i'm just trying to understand some of the more advanced information in the forums about setting up the ext4. i found some very technical instructions (edit: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=534714 ) for setting up an ext2 with gparted via dos then upgrading it to ext4. i don't know if that will mess up the wp7 partition, and if i should have done this before i installed wp7.
i had already read the nativesd thread, and the extended threads from it. i'm afraid i'm just not knowledgeable enough currently to fill in the gaps of information i find in a lot of the instructions. but i'm not giving up.

this has gotten way off the original topic so I've started a new thread with a diferent topic here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=31356468#post31356468
Hi all, so to start with, as the title says im constantly running out of space on the FN model 2015, so ive dived into the forum looking for help. First thing i tried was the sd card hack to combine my 64gb sdcard with the 8gb internal. Harra! it worked, but then i still run outa space as it dosen't seam to to use the sdcard space as i had hoped. It's like it just copys some of the data from the apps to the SD card like normal but without having to go into the each app and selecting external sdcard. Kinda thought no probs I'll download a custom rom with no samsung apps and with a min gapp giving me as much storage space i could get. I can't see one, starting to think there isnt one. So my question is, is it hard for me to take my backup of my stock rom and strip what I can out bearing in mind I'm a bit of a noob and have to follow instructions from the clever ROM makers? not to bothered about increasing the speed and looks just the space. Would be able nice to update them without having to delete a few and re-install the ones I deleted. Any advice on what coarse to take would be great. Maybe theres a ROM I've mist I could use and give thanks for?
Cheers

Hi,
Instead of using Adoptable Storage, make 2 partitions on your SD, 1 FAT32 for photos, music, documents and another EXT4 for apps data. Use this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.co.pricealert.apps2sd , i tested it.
You can make 2 partitions using PC or with TWRP Recovery.

Thanks for your reply! I went down the apps2SD route in the end. Kinda mest it up a bit but have free'd up nearly 1gb of space so thanks, that's more than enough! %) I ended up partitioning the SDcard and linking all the apps I'm not interested in, excel,Skype,Samsung etc. Anyway what i didn't realise was that i had mest the other part of the partition up. Ended up re-formatting the SDcard in recovery back to normal and those apps I didn't want 90% of the data of those have now been wiped %)
I bought myself a new yoga plus LTE yesterday.
I've been working on the big file issue with larger files than 4gb on sdcard.
I fixed that issue by formatting the card as a internal drive and move all apps there.
The thing i dont like is that i lost all the 32GB on ghe original drive as that wont show up anymore as a usable space.
On my friends tab his internal and card got put togheter and he got one large drive containing both the card and the internal storage. (Lenovo tab 3 x50 i believe)
So my tablet seems slow, it hangs on Facebook and messenger and it disconnects wifi etc.
Its buggy...
So, i just recently had a Nvidia shield tablet and it was also slow, so i downloaded the stock rom and adb flashed it with recovery flash and it became superfast again.
I believe after updates some files gets overwritten and it causes problems.
Normal factory reset wont fix it either.
It needs reflashing..
So here is my questions.
I need stock recovery files, and then i also would like to root it so i can get to use my internal drive as internal and to have a Exfat sdcard to be recognized do i also need to know how to get there as well.
Im sure this tablet after full recovery with latest updates, a exfat support will be very nice.
I also maybe need TWRP to flash it with the files needed to get it to read exfat??
I don't wanna return it as i like it but it only needs exfat for me to be perfect.
Please help me out so i can collect all files with links and to have some tutorials of Wich to do first etc.
I will then make a good thread containing all these so we all can enjoy the best of this nice tablet that really gets killed by not recognizing exfat.
I mean i like to have 4K material and i dont wanna be limited by Lenovo beeing to poor to buy the exfat license.
Its been a Lenovo issue for many years i cant understand why they wont fix it.
My tablet is the YT-X703L
MANY THANKS ALL OF YOU BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!!

Regarding the slow down, flashing an image won't help you there because you will end up with exactly the same system that you have now. This is due to the block based updates. We all have exactly the same system and boot partitions. The only thing you can do is a factory reset
The exfat issue is big annoyance I agree. It's only half Lenovo's fault though. Microsoft is the bad guy here since they conspired to get the exfat file system set as the default file system for large SD cards and want royalties from the OEMs. I don't want Microsoft to get a single dime for something as trivial as a new file system without any special features.
What is Lenovo's fault is giving us old kernel sources that prevent us from easily building custom kernels that include exfat. There were FUSE based solutions for older Lenovo tablets that could potentially be updated to work for us but FUSE isn't ideal since it's slower than a kernel based solution.
