Once you factory reset your phone, the lock will be removed by default. If still your phone is in lock screen, try factory resetting your phone from the recovery mode.
Steps :
1) Power on your phone. Press and hold volume up+volume down button for 10 sec while your device switches on.
2) In the recovery mode, choose factory reset and follow the instructions.
Now your device will be completely factory retested and no more lock.
factory reset dont works for me.. i did it 4 times ..
aroma file manager needs root and a custom recovery to be installed first.. but i cant even do that becouse i dont have usb debugging.
any other idea guys?

I have set my pin number for security on my note however I cant remember what the pin is or should I say its not accepting what I thought I had put

So flash a stock firmware. You don't need to flash a custom rom.

managed to do it via samsung dive .. you can remotely unlock your screen via this method and it deletes the pin number
sorry didnt mean to sound funny about flashing a firmware .. never done it before .. think ill look how to do this now ive managed to get into the damn thing !
hello, i need help with my device ‘’is bricked’’, i never modify the any software. only thing I did was an official update to (marsmallow 6.0.1). from that moment when i turn off/on my divice he is in bootloop. my device turn on several times
from this time.. i tryed to install bootloader unlock apk. to change the android version to> (lollipop firmware). but don't unlock, close with error.
Now my phone is no longer turn on :crying::crying: :crying: i try factory reset. FINE but bootloop dont stop. i try change recovery > twrp3.0 FINE i try installing the lasted official firmware from OP. but bootloop dont stop. the internal memory i believe is good.
Can someone help me pleasee

Hi,
I just bought my first Android device today, a Redmi 3S. Unfortunately, I set a pattern on it and it no longer works, or I forgot the exact pattern.
How can I bypass the pattern to get back into my device? I do not mind losing my data and am okay with a factory reset. I just don't know how to do it.
I tried to go into the Mi Recovery Mode by pressing the Volume Up and Power Button, but when I try to go to the Recovery, it asks me to connect to the PC Suite and upon connecting it, it says I need to update my device in order to make it work with the PC Suite :/
When I try the fastboot mode, it gets stuck on the fastboot mode logo.
Please help.
Download a fastboot ROM and flash it in edl mode.

You can reset your phone from Mi Cloud or Android Device Manager. You will lose all your personal files.

After upgrade of sw reset was made and I needed to put password for fingerprint unlock, which I don't remember.
Is there a way to unlock it or at least backup data from phone? I don't want to make factory reset.
Phone is not rooter, so no recovery mode...
Also USB debugging is not enabled. This would also help if someone can help with that.

And you really pressed the volume up button and then connect it to the PC?
When coming from a custom rom it's highly recommended to wipe system, data, cache and format internal storage too.

yup, i'm positive im pressing the volume button, been tried with 2 different laptop, same.
and previously i have succeed unbrick my friend op3, and no issue at all. as i can remember the phone will not turn on rite? when connect to PC.
Update.
succeed, problem solved.
disassemble battery, phone until it wont turn on when connect to pc, lucky it work.
then unbrick using unbrick tools. next plan to change screen n fingerprint scanner.
im happy , bought op5 for a cheap price.
