Hello everyone:
Im on zui 1.6.x now, and i managed to upgrade to zui 2.0 with the help of a chinese board. I only know english and german, but google translate helped me. My problem is i really need root for adaway and titaniumbackup. I only found prerooted 1.6 versions and if i try to flash super su on zui 2.0 it causes a bootloop. Anyone know how to root zui 2.0 ?
Thanks a lot

Btw, you need root, twrp recovery, and miui rom.
So the ROM from the official website is not android 6.0? I thought it was different.
Nope, is kitkat 4.4.4.

Convert COS to ZUI

Hello,
Can someone please explain me how can I convert from CyanogenOS (stock ROM) to ZUI (official Chinese ROM)?
I found this tutorial: http://bbs.lenovomobile.cn/z1/t14879/ (used Google translate) but my question is can I follow that tutorial if I want to convert to that ROM from CyanogenOS? Also, this is I think 1.x version of ZUI, will it be possible to update to the latest (I think 2.3) OTA? Will I have to flash some other recovery or what?
Thank you!

Upgrade to MM Asus ZE550KL Z00LD

Goodmorning everyone,
sorry if i reopen an old discussion, but I find myself with a big one
problem on my smartphone Asus ZE550KL Z00LD;
I had problems installing the AOSP 6.7 custom ROM and thinking
, ignorantly, that it was a Marshmallow problem, i did the
downgrade to Lollipop, installing the StockBoot 1.16.40.763 and its
stock Rom Lollipop 1.16.40.763.
Now I find myself with Lollipop stock rom, bootloader unlocked (and therefore i can't
do no update to MM via OTA ...), and i can't install
no custom ROM from TWRP.
Can you tell me how I can update the ROM in Marshmallow and then
to install a custom ROM?
thanks a lot
and I can't install a custom room either

DM me ill give marshmallow firmware
flash it through twrp u are gud to go.
Resolved
OK thank you very much.
I solved it like this:
From Recovery Mode I updated this version WW_1.17.40.1531.
Then I installed an OTA update downloaded from a Russian site which allowed me to switch from the Lollipop version 1.17.40.1531 to the Marshmallow version 21.40.1220.1615.
Now it works perfectly both AOSP 6.7 Z00L and AOSP 5.8 Z00L
Thanks
Good weekend
