Hello. I have exactly the same problem. Huawei P8 GRA-L09 is activated and becomes the startup screen, or Android logo and the inscription on the bottom of the screen. Nothing works, no recovery or fastboot, (telephone connection via USB to your computer - no reaction, no wykywa it no ADB and Fastboot). Complete, the real brick. You can not even turn, stands on the home screen and the end.
My question is - if at all in such a situation, any chance to repair this phone? Of course, in a specialized workshop. I would like to know is if there is any chance?
Very please even one sentence on the subject of ordinary skill in the subject.
Thank you and best regards!

I accidentally wiped system partition before, but I managed to fix my phone by rebooting into fast boot (turn off your device, hold the volume up and volume down button and power button, when the device starts release the power button, you should now be on fastboot screen) and flashing system.img, boot.img and recovery.img from the update.app after unpacking it using Huawei update extractor, then I booted up normally but the UI was a bit weird so I downloaded latest marshmallow firmware from Huawei website and performed update via dialer method.

but how do you turn it off? when the power button is hold it reboots, it does not turn off?!

go to fastboot by pressing volume download and power or go to your twrp and reboot into bootloader
it will get to your bootloader aka fastboot and then just install system.img boot.img using fastboot

I tried that. More details are described here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p8/help/how-to-off-p8-gra-l09-stuck-boot-logo-t3630345

Try this:
Preparatory steps:
Format the Micro SD card (This operation is optional).
make sure that the Micro SD card is available with enough free space 4GB or more should be available.
make sure that the power of the battery is enough to run the Upgrade process. It is recommended that the power of the battery is more than 50%.
This operations will erase all user data. You should backup all important data on an external SD card
How To Fix Huawei P8 Stuck In A Boot Loop
Download Huawei P8 Firmware and extract this file
Copy the entire dload folder (with UPDATE.APP in it) to the root directory of the Micro SD card.
Make sure your handset is power off.
(If you can not turn off the phone and it constantly reboots, insert the prepared memory card as it is)
Insert the Micro SD card into the handset.
Press the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN key, and then press the POWER key to power on the phone and enter the Software Upgrade Mode.
When the progress bar stops, the phone will automatically power OFF.
Press POWER key to get the Device POWER ON.
P.S. Download Full Ota Update

Bad Update

Hello...i think that im in troubles here...
I install the Meticulus TWRP version on my P9 Lite...later i flash the last update.zip with he...
The process end with an error...and the phone reboot by himself from the recovery.
Starts the updating, finish the process and the phone boot...in the lockscreen says"enter the PIN code for security..."but the numbers of the lockscreen to write de PIN is missing...
And when i connect the phone to pc,(to put MM update.zip on he)doesn't show me the diferents data partitions (internal memory,sd card)...only says"generic a15"
What can i do? if there is something that can i do...
(sorry my bad english,i'm from Uruguay)
I Extract the sdcard...
I Put it into another phone...in the sd card...create a folder and call it"dload"...in that folder i put the UPPDATE.app file from the last Marshmallow update.
i Extract the sd card from that another phone and put it into the P9 Lite. I Shutdown the phone...and then press volume +,volume - and power at the same time till start. And now Doesnt pass the huawei logo.
to solve the bootloop after downgrading from N beta to M (b151), I had to
1- Shutdown my phone
2- Plug to my computer.
3- Press Volume down + PWR
4- Once in fastboot/rescue mode, open cmd window on my PC and type:
fastboot oem unlock (unlock code) .
5- Follow unlock procedure instructions and then the phone does a factory reset.
6- The phone reboots and it's done

Can't flash any recovery

I've unlocked the bootloader and flashed the Revolution Recovery B9, but I can't mount 'data' , so I modified the partition into F2FS and then formatted it. After that I couldn't enter to system, so I used three buttons to recovery the stock firmware. Now I can't reflash the TWRP and I can't add any goggle account.
What should I do?
Thanks before
What version p9 lite vns- ??
What do you want to install as firmware?
Info. If you wanted to be helped, helped too.
Hi,
have similar issue.
Bought P9Lite, originally on Vodafone UK/IE. VNS-L31C02B120.
Flashed B432 ROM which was OK, although changed to C900. Then I flashed something which was posted as UPDATE.APP. I thought it's an update, but then saw the size, was about 32MB. Since then it boots into Huawei eRecovery, which is uselless as it connect via Wi-Fi but does nothing. I can boot into fastboot/Recovery mode but thats it.
Tried flash Vodafone ROM but it stuck at 5%, no matter what I try to flash. The last when it booted still showed the Vodafone start up logo.
Any help appreciated...
Bootloader locked, no root.
1) Disconnect and power off.
2) Put a stock rom (UPDATE.APP) on SD card in folder dload and put it in the phone. If you have not, create folder "dload"
3) Hold down all 3 hardware buttons for cca. 10 second (Volume+ AND Volume- AND Power) until the phone enters EMUI system update mode and stars update from the SD card.
4) Phone will reboot and you have OS

P9 lite l31 Boot loop that I can't find any information about anywhere! Unique, yay.

I tried to update my wife's P9 lite to Nougat manually and initially succeeded in some way. The version I installed via the dload install method turned out to be some sort of Bluetooth disabled demo firmware (I can't remember the name of it).
I then tried to downgrade back to MM 6.0/EMUI 4.1 and now have a bricked phone. I can't actually turn it off!
Hard reset options do nothing.
Here is the current situation:
The phone is always on - the Huawei logo is displayed with 'powered by Google' at the foot of the screen.
Holding down the power button returns the phone to the same screen after a vibration and a brief moment of blackness.
Holding all three buttons results in a double vibration then back to the same screen.
Power and down vol leads to black screen, vibrate, back to logo screen.
Power and vol up is the same as vol down result.
I'm out of ideas. Nothing online mirrors these faults. I'm ashamed to admit defeat but it is as dead as I've seen any handset. I can't believe it won't even power down. I'm in the doghouse here. Wife is not happy!
Download any update eg b161, download trwp and connect your phone to PC then press power + vol down. U should land to fastboot then open adb/fastboot and type fastboot oem unlock "unlock code" then enter if u get unlocked then flash trwp by fastboot flash recovery trwp.img after that go to trwp and flash the update.zip u downloaded. Then reboot

Is my phone dead?

After I installed the stock recovery I got from a thread around here, my phone won't boot. It's stuck at the yellow your phone cannot be trusted bla bla and says Your device is booting now...
I cannot use volume down + power to access fastboot, volume up + power to access recovery, neither both volume buttons to acces the update.img on my sd card, it just boots the logo and then the screen above.
Any ideas, or I should start preparations for a funeral?

Try use Dc Phoenix method- 1 first ... You will need to buy 15 € credits but it's better thanhave a bricked phone! if that doesnt Work, search for Dc Phoenix method- 2 . It will flash your phone for FACTORY FIRMWARE . After that i returned to DC Phoenix and apliyed B160 firmware through method 1 again.

I looked a bit at the tutorials for the two methods, both of them involve booting the phone into fastboot, a thing I cannot do. If I manage to boot into bootloader, I'll fix the phone myself. I just don't have any idea how to do it if the button combinations only restart the phone and do nothing.
you can't enter fastboot via ADB ?

Which version of firmware u used? Was there MM or N. If you didnt flash some custom rom method with dload on sd card full stock firmware in format update.app and three butons power+volume down+volume up for full recovery must work. If Oeminfo corrupted during some unapropriate flasing then try toolkit for p9 lite. You can find it in our section. Regards
Thanks for all the advice. I left the phone to discharge and completely shutdown by itself, when I powered it up the problem was solved, I even had the operatign system running.
Bullet dodged.

Huawei P9 Lite Brick I Need Help

Hi guys,
Yesterday, I unlocked my Huawei P9 Lite with the given code from EMUI, then I installed TWRP (twrp-3.1.1-0-venus.img) and installed SuperSU. All went okay, i managed to delete useless system app, but I realized i did not pass Safetynet Check anymore (and since i'm a PoGo fan..), so I uninstalled SuperSU and tried with Magisk, same issue. I uninstalled both, and couldn't get back the clean safetynet check.
There, I tried to install a official ROM for VNS-L31 xxxx361, but I did it wrong and the whole thing crashed. Now i'm left with no OS, phone is bootlooping for ever. The only things I can access if TWRP and Fastboot mode. I tried to flash img from a huawei release, but i get this error that scare everyone i asked about : remote : sparse flash write failure.
I've no idea how to not trash my phone and go grab another one if I ever want to make a phone call again!
Please help!!
Kindly,
Antonin
I had similar problem but I had no recovery just eRecovery and fastboot (which didnt let me flash anything).
Download FULL rom from:
hwmt.ru/oth/HWFF/info/view.php?find_model=VNS
(sorry cant post links)
Make sure u choose right model and location.
Extract the update.app and put it on sdcard in folder named dload, insert that sdcard into the phone.
Boot to erecovery and shut down the phone from there, then turn on the phone with both volume buttons pressed and wait till the rom will be installed.
If you didnt success to boot with vol + and vol -, try to press power wait for vibration and quickly press both volume buttons and hold.
