The MCU version is 5.3.18-23-B32-E43101-160216 and it is a Quadcored-R16 1.6G Processor.
I tried rooting with kingaroot, but it didn't stick. Can someone point me in the direction of better rooting paths?
Nevermind. I found that Kingroot 4.5 works. Just takes a couple of tries. Hopefully it will stick for good!

Folks,

Decoding the MCU version gives me:

Can I flash this to Android 5.1 with the Malaysk package? Which one?
Any suggestions welcome.

Any luck IM LOOKING FOR THE SAME? Where did you get your 4.4.4 update from, CHEERS
Folks, I have seen a couple of requests for more info re my Xtrons unit recently.
Sorry for this late reply but I am travelling in my van and at the moment have done almost 10, 000km in the past 4 weeks. Presently on the very west coast of WA.
Sorry, but I simply can't recall where I got the upgrade - though I can say it worked fine though when Xtrons folk tried to help with an unrelated issue the solution involved reinstalling the original Android version. Sorry. I will TRY to find where I got it when I'm home again.
I must tell you though that I had months of trouble with the unit leading up to the reinstalling of the original O/S. THAT did not solve the problem. In the end, when I had to put a new battery in the car and do some underbonnet work the battery was out for 2 days. When I put it back in the head unit worked fine!
In the subsequent 6 weeks there has been one "no boot" instance.
Through the months if issues, no variation of resetting changed things. Installing the original code didn't work. It was only totally powering down the unit that worked.
FWIW and for ?reference.

I've currently got an Eonon GA5153F head unit in my car. It came with Android 4.4.4 KitKat installed. It's the stock ROM, despite resetting it a few times. Looking to try and upgrade it to 5.1.1 or newer if possible. Has anyone had any luck doing so?
The ROM that I'm looking to install is from: huifei (dot) fs-fileserver (dot) de
(Can't post links as I'm less than 10 posts in to xda-devs )
Specs:
Rockchip RK3188 Quad-core
800 x 480 px screen
1GB RAM
Let me know if you've managed it, else I'll just report back when I brick it eventually probably...
sorry to jump in

Hi all,
I have an Android head unit in my car running 6.0.1 Marshmallow, it's an Xtrons TCD629A.
About device returns:
Processor type - QuadCore-R16
Android version - 6.0.1
MCU version - 5.3.19-36-10-E50201-170215
System version - V7.3.1_20170505.204845_MLT1-DVD
DVD version - 2.13.15-1200xh-150417
Searching online it is very hard to find much information on this unit (I should have got an RK3188 based unit as there's a world of information about them).
So far I have tried: KingRoot, KingoRoot and One Click Root. None of which have provided root access after multiple attempts.
KingoRoot offers the most interesting result, it gets to 90% and pauses for a few minutes, then the screen flickers a bit and the unit restarts so it is obviously attempting something that doesn't agree with the unit, but at the same time isn't causing it any harm.
Does anybody have any advice which may help with rooting this device, or alternatively a pre-rooted restore image. In the case of flashing a pre-rooted image to the device, I am happy with anything from KitKat to Marshmallow.
Thank you in advance.
Xtrons TCD698A - have the same problem ?
Received TCD629A with no power harness, I don't mean to hijack this thread but are there another power harness that is compatible with this unit?
Where to download fw V7.3.1_20170505.204845_MLT1-DVD?

Would it work for a Xtrons TS702L at all?
Hello all! I am new to this part of XDA. I have been rooting and flashing custom ROMS on my phones for many years but I have just recently purchased an android head unit for my motorcycle. It works great but I have become interested in rooting my head unit. The information on the unit is below. This unit is branded as a Hizpo JBY-6201 but from what I have read the brand doesn't mean as much as the MCU Version.
Model - PX3 (1024x600 W)
Android Version - 7.1.2
MCU Version - MTCE_XRC_V2.75_1
Unsure which process works for rooting this device and how to enter recovery.
I know Malaysk is doing some custom work for these units and am wondering if it will work for mine.
Thanks!
Hi all
I might have bought the only android device in the entire China, that is un-root-able. :crying:
It is a ZOYOSKII fra Aliekspress with following info:
10,4" screen
Android 9 PIE
CPU Info: CPU:Intel X86_OCTA-CORE 1.8Ghz SC9853 4+64Gb
MCU Version: 2019.10.15 09:51:58 XHCN_53_l82_G23P48F64_Ver:1.0
It seems like the "new" intel processors is not the most used in the industri.
The only other i have seen, is the Joying devices, but i havent been able to find a root that i dear to use on this unit.
Can you help with a root-build for this or can i use some allready-existing root?
Thanks.
There is no "ready to use" rooted build for any SC9853 unit.
You need to use the way as described in the Joying thread and build your own rooted boot.img.

1st of all: You need to get in contact with your seller to get the OEM firmware.
2nd: Install the Joying Extra tools by @surfer63
3rd: continue with posting a screenshot from the extra tool
did you end up finding any information on this unit?
I bought one off of a friend that has the same information and I can't seem to get a few things working
Do you know the Security Code for this unit?
Have you got the latest build?
3368 is the code I believe
have you got something new for your head unit. my head unit also the same, I used joying firmware and root but not compatible
I have the same headunit, has anyone figured out how to root this device from this seller (ZOYOSKII)? I have multiple issues with the headunit, and would be great to collaborate. Another seller (Sinosmart) has the same unit, is the firmware / rooting process the same?
I have one of these too, i need to root so I am able to hide the navbar at the top.
Any updates on this? I just bought a used car with this already installed. I just want carplay and a newer version update.
