[ROM] [UNOFFICIAL] [SLIM BASE] [7.1.1]Slim ROM for Natrium [ALPHA]

Hi,
Here's is SlimROM for the Xiaomi mi5s Plus aka Natrium.
This has been taken directly from the SlimROM Github with the device tree from Lineage...
I would like to stress that, without the magnificent work done by Luk1337 on the device source, this could never come true !
As many will know, SLIMROM is one of the oldest ROM on the custom ROMs planet. It's a really sleek one : do not expect a ROM loaded with customization options. It's simple : there are almost none.
But what you get is a small and smooth ROM that will take you close to pure Android experience.
So what has been tested here :
- FINGERPRINT => working ;
- RINGTONES => working (but beware : select a ringtone to have a sound !) ;
- NOTIFICATIONS SOUND => working (same as for ringtone : select a notification sound) ;
- INCOMING CALLS => working ;
- OUTGOING CALLS => working ;
- WI-FI => working ;
- BLUETOOTH => working ;
- NFC => working ;
- GPS => working (but I think my device has a hardware problem on this, so can't tell for sure) ;
- YouTube, Play Music... => working ;
- CAMERA PICTURE => working ;
- CAMERA MOVIES => working ;
- DEVELOPER OPTIONS => working (fixed).
- ABILITY TO CUSTOMIZE HARDWARE BUTTONS => not working (I'm in touch with more skilled devs to iron this out !) ;
- BRIGHTNESS SETTING : works, but I think the scale is somewhat wrong (doesn't dim further when there still way to go) ;
- TRANSFORMERS GAME => crashing randomly (Adreno blob problem it seems !)...
This is all I have tested so far, but I'm sure you guys will find out other things not working.
If so, please remember that I ain't no dev and that I only offer this "as is".
Also : my device is going to ad site soon (hardware malfunction reported above) so this may well be the one and only build available. If someone is willing to build further in case I suspend it... I'll try to help.

Hi,
As I said : Transformers Iron Forged isn't stable.
Seems related to bad Adreno blobs included in the last vendor files
Will try some other games and see if I get the same results...
And will try some other ROM's to check if it is ROM or sources related.
Will look if there is an update to that, but that is beyond my league

Hi,
Both ROMs cannot be compared.
RR is loaded with almost EVERY FEATURE you can only dream of.
This one is really close to simple AOSP with some added features (like ability to customize Navigation buttons), but really little.
My hard drive died on me... so I can't really continue to build at the moment.
But if you want a Slim Based (Slim has always been my ALL TIME favourite with Tipsy-OS and Dirty Unicorns) ROM that is closer to RR, you should try Tipsy.
It also has loads of features, is really stable and is really under development...
Plus : I have direct access to dev of that ROM, so can get help to iron out bugs in case it's needed
I will of course build a new Tipsy-OS as soon as I get my hands on a spare hard drive

Telephone is good, data is good, can accept text message but cannot send text message

i will try to port it for t700 shouldnt be hard as i have ported a lot of roms from other devices to t700 but it will be online quite late cuz i have 0.1mbit upload

It's nice to see that you can prot it to T700, but you have to be aware that some bugs might not be fixed, because this flyme version is a beta version ！

getting some symlinks faliked error 7 in updater process (error installation) - this is for twrp 3.1.1 and did full wipe (system, cache, data, dalvik/art cache before flashing.
fixed flashing error 7
reboot recovery
go to mount panel and uncheck cache
then full wipe (if not done already) then flash the zip
booting now...

tried v2 on my T705M (705 Latin American version) ..calls work (no reboots no sound issues-except other caller/person at other end of line can hear his sound (slight)..common issue on many CM/AOSP in my experience for some of these tablet phone devices (not the pure smartphone devices - think something to do with mic and internal speaker arrangement)...however tab A 7.0 T285 CM 13/14 has no such issues not sure why (is a 7 inch tablet phone device) so not sure
anyway you have my report on the calling function-maybe someone else has some more ideas/insight or different experience..thanks

In fact, after the test, in my T705 (TGY Hongkong, China) on the call function is very perfect, but the Mms function will be some problems, I have not found a solution to the problem.In fact I have only one Nano Sim card, but it is applied to my Iphone 7plus, so testing these features will be more difficult.

i can confirm that this rom is also working verrrryyy well on t700 without any extra bugs. i flashed this rom over full aosp 7.1.2. it has still got all these stabdard flYme os bugs on board. another thing is that it is based on a phone ui and it needs some optimization for tablets just like i did on my old sucuk rom for tab s.
future builds without flyme os bugs would make it possible to use this as a daily driver

yes just noticed today that the lineage 13 is needed to flash first (I did not do this-had a custom MM stock-based rom before this, then did the full wipe and directly went to the flyme package) Will do the stated method in the original post OP thanks

Please share your build for t700

U don't need to port t705 ROMs to t700 .. They usually work without any edit.
U can also flash it without flashing lineage before

Linage (cm) has hardware issues with the t705 requiring some rewrite of the device tree, since the devs are busy with N this most likely will not be solved at all. These issues effect fingerprint sensor, mic, and battery drain ( in some cases a rouge process clocks the processor at 40% continuously ).
All ROMs using Lin/cm codebase ( and the deathly kernel obviously ) will share the same probs in part or in whole ( exception to this is vanir who do a lot of their own work on top of the cm codebase ).
This ROM is the same, a bunch of commits put on top of a very shaky base.
I am working on a solution but it will be aosp based since they have the only fully operational ( as regards to hardware ) implementation (have reposted it ), some mild kangs on top of the already working code.
PS. The unofficial cm13 build at XDA has solved some of the bugs ,being outside of the official cm13 branch, fingerprint and others still there.

Hello, TimurAlaskara_TR. Can you tell me how to port it to the T700? There are already many people who need T700 flyme6. If you tell me the way, I will modify and upload to AFH.

To port it too t700. A t700 will be required. Thats all. Although the t705 version may flash as is to t700

To remove lag and overheating, magisk and root uninstaller, remove all Chinese applications

This was already posted/released thru telegram and facebook private groups. but due to some personal issues, this was the only free time i had to post this one here.
This rom was based on Enigma and GensysUX (Versions v1, v2 to v3.2) then now rebased to full Enigma v2.1 Port by ShaDisNX255 (starting from v4 and future updates)
Some notes here
1. Please if you see some bugs, make sure to reply/do a feedback around this post so i can make a fix for it, or i will fix it in the next version in the future.
2. Bugs report should come with device variation (e.g: g532g, g532f), because i'm using a G532G so there will be some kind-of-bugs in other version.
3. Stop kanging hardwork, if you want to repost it. make sure you have permission from me.

Reboot to System
Wait for 15-20 approx mins.

Extract it and move/copy it to your SD Card
Boot to TWRP
In Wipe Options > Format Data > YES (if you can't follow these steps, look at this picture as reference : https://imgur.com/gallery/2RE0Nje)
Restore the Package
Boot to System
If you can't see the rom in restore (TWRP), do this steps
Go to TWRP
Go to Backup > then backup your boot (boot only)
Replace the TWRP folder with the TWRP folder of the rom
now you can see the rom in restore, do the steps above to complete the entire process

So far so good. I can tell that whatever optimization you used on this rom is by far smoother than any other roms. Also it's kinda weird for me how some of the UI and apps look kinda small (?) But not that it is annoying, it's just unpleasant to see some buggy UI. All in all the rom is really smooth and it's fine looking than any other else. Keep up the good work!

Hello, this is Mar Yvan. a 15 y/o kid who just started to make some roms for this community
This was already posted/released thru telegram and facebook private groups. but due to some personal issues, this was the only free time i had to post this one here.
This is a rom based on Enigma v2.1 (by shadisnx255) and GenesysUX (by fast melogin), i combined the app-base of the genesys and it's framework (because the looks are good, and it would definitely fit the OneUI vibes) to Enigma v2.1 (which is a really great rom!:fingers-crossed
Some notes here
1. Please if you see some bugs, make sure to reply/do a feedback around this post so i can make a fix for it, or i will fix it in the next version in the future.
2. Bugs report should come with device variation (e.g: g532g, g532f), because i'm using a G532G so there will be some kind-of-bugs in other version.
3. Stop kanging hardwork, if you want to repost it. make sure you have permission from me.

it's set to 220 dpi, due to it's custom systemui. because if i set it back to normal (which is 240) some icons will be larger and it looks like the mod is not yet done.:laugh:

i'm sorry but the original creator of phoenix kernel (Renoxtv) deleted his sources on his git, tho i have a backup one (but i don't know if it's really the phoenix ones).

I never liked the Phoenix Kernel. Overclock attempts everywhere even to the charger current.

The new update, v3 or Charlie, has some bugs when I first try installing it and it was stuck in a bootloop. Then I downloaded another file, which is the updated one named foxtrot and this one works and installed properly because I can tell that the launcher is very different plus the UI (I never read all the changelogs) and so far performance wise is really good and I can notice some improvement on the read/write speed of the system also there's almost no stuttering happening. Still, a really great rom

Foxtrot was a beta update, i changed the launcher because i notice some UI glitches in stock. maybe i'll return it in the next update. Thanks for your feedbacks and Enjoy the ROM

Also, I will fix the lockscreen look, return it back to normal in the future update, my vietnamese friend @namcon created the UI.

So I backed up my messages, settings, notes and some other stuff to the my Samsung account before installing , but it doesn't seem like I can add a Samsung account on this ROM. Is there any way I can restore my backup from the Samsung cloud on this ROM?

I am using this version now, I really liked the alpha versions more. they were more stable and the UI didn't look weird.
I am getting some weird navigation issues like the buttons not appearing again on fullscreen apps if I swipe from the edges. Also, I cannot disable gradients even tho there is an option for that in the Style app.

There is already a new maintainer for havoc for Vince. Please be patient as havoc 4.0 isn't out for any device and the new maintainer would do everything they can to get a stable and beautiful build to you as soon as possible

Hi, I'm using your rom but I'm having some issues. First I couldn't manage to install the NikGapps because even if the installation was successfull they didn't appear on my phone. I just managed to get play services and play store, so I installed everything from there, but the problem is that every browser I try to install other than the one you provided instantly (for example chrome and edge) freezes and becomes unusable. Other than that, I tried to disable the keyboard vibration but it still vibrates when I write something. Other than that it's a great rom so keep going

the chrome browser crash bug already fixed on lastest build. what nikgapps u use? if you dont want keyboard vibration, u can disable the touch vibration at settings.

When will the latest build be released? And how do the updates work? Do we have to flash it again from the recovery? I solved my issue with NikGapps, I just had a corrupted version due to problems during the download. The touch vibration is disabled in my options but the keyboard is the only thing that keeps vibrating

lastest build on the 1st post date 28 - 10 - 2020. Yes, update flash thru recovery. Go to settings > accessibility > vibration & haptic strength > touch feedback off.
this will make any touch vibration off too

I have heard people saying about it but for some reason Chrome decides to not crash on my phone no matter what I do. I tried many times reproducing the error but it "seems" it's because of SeLinux enforcing, try flashing permissiver

It doesn't crash, but it freezes becoming unusable. Other thing, today I noticed that my GPS doesn't work too, with every app.
What do you mean by "try flashing permissiver"?

you don't have to clean flash again, install it as usual will do just fine
